This was not your typical Ted Thompson selecting the best player available regardless of need. This was Gutey selecting the best player available for needs. I much prefer Gutey's approach. I may have gone in a different direction with a couple of these picks but think that Gutey did a fantastic job overall.

Impossible to know what he was thinking when the Eagles jumped in front and took DeJean, and he traded back. Still got his linebacker with pick 45 and a couple late round picks. Perhaps that was the plan all along and DeJean was not going to be his pick.

Gutey also does a great job of adding talented undrafted free agents and signing practice squad players from other teams. Bottom line is that our roster is far from complete. Go Pack go!

A good draft, but not a great one. Not picking Mason McCormick @ #91 was huge. Getting him there would have changed the rest of the draft for us. Trading up for Williams and the Duke center were unnecessary overreaches. I like Williams but he would easily have been there @ #126. And picking McCormick @ #91 saves the tradeup @ #168.
