Happy to see Pratt early as I am pulling for him to beat out Clifford.

That would be the aggressive press defense in action. We stop them, we stop them, and then they connect on a long TD pass and take the lead. This is what we wanted.

Ravens 4th and 2. CBs lined up 2-3 yards off WRs. Ravens still made it with receiver finding weak spot in zone. But hey, apparent improvement in defensive scheme.

I don't see how giving up 48 yard TDs is an improvement. The Packers gave up TWO TD passes over 26 yards last year....a 51 and 52 yarder. Other than that, everything was shorter.

I don't think giving up long TDs is a sign of defensive improvement.

The TD was due to 2nd/3rd string defender biting on short crossing route when 2 LBs already had the guy. When he moved up, he created huge open area. If you look at the defender he was reading the QBs eyes looking in middle, and thought the pass was going short. But the WR the QB was actually looking at was the deeper one.

In any event, other than that 1 play, the defense has looked pretty good. The offense showed it can keep itself on the field and score some points.

OK, I have to say it...Neeeewman! actually played a solid game.

Monk is on the 53. He's an interior mauler. Run game is his thing. He held his own in pass blocking too...not as good as Myers in pass blocking, but OK.

When Caleb the Giant came in, I wondered why he was buried on the depth chart. He looked pretty good to start, but then missed plays followed and I understood. Not very nimble. If he doesn't lock up early, he's done.
