Aaron Rodgers Makes Major Donation to Cal Football Program

The University of California-Berkely put out a press release announcing a major contribution by Aaron Rodgers to its football program, a seven-figure donation that will allow for a renovation of the locker room, and also institute a football scholarship named for the former Cal quarterback.

The locker room renovations are expected to be complete in time for the coming season. The scholarship will be awarded to a junior college transfer each season, a fitting nod to Rodgers' own time in JuCo with Butte College before he transferred to Cal.

Good on Rodgers for once again showing his generosity and giving back to a school and program that helped turn him into a star.

I also think it’s cool that Marcedes Lewis is finishing his degree. Good example Marcedes!

Dunne will get interviews with the disgruntled ex players, admin or coaching staff. Not current ones though.

Dunne will always get lots of interviews with "unnamed sources".

I said it at the time and I'll say it again, Tyler Dunne is a chooch. A hack desperate for clicks and readership. Speaking for myself I never heard of him before the Rodgers unnamed sources tempest in a thimble and I haven't heard from him since. Maybe Dunne can write an article using unnamed sources who claim that Trubisky is better than Aaron Rodgers.
Dunne has been filed under Imbecile. Thanks, Since '61

Oh, he's not a pompous jackass now?

This autograph has some real value.

OK, fine. Kudos to ARod for opening the check book, even though the multi-billion dollar, tax-exempt revenue machine of college athletics is probably about the most pathetic excuse for a "charity" that anyone could imagine.

But hey, college sports are all in the name of "providing a well-rounded education," right?

marpag1,

Are you trying to make your compliment into something else?

Or maybe YOU should tell ARod where, and how much, to donate. And tell all the rest of us too.

LOL. Do whatever the hell you want with your money, but I'm not required to be impressed by it.
