Aaron Rodgers misses practice, won't miss Sunday's game

The veteran quarterback spent the afternoon rehabbing his injured toe.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers wasn't present when the team took the practice field this afternoon as the team begins to prepare for Sunday's showdown with the Minnesota Vikings.

However. when Rodgers met with the media via Zoom post-practice, he made it very clear that he will be playing on Sunday.

"I'm definitely playing Sunday," said the starting QB.

Rodgers indicated the team's day was mostly focused on the mental aspect of the game and he spent the majority of his time rehabbing his injured toe, which popped up on the injury report last Saturday after Rodgers rejoined the team from his 10 day absence due to being on the Covid 19 reserve list.

The team will be back on the practice field tomorrow and there's a chance Rodgers could miss that session as well, but he seems confident he'll be playing on Sunday.

Rodgers commented upon his return to training camp that everone who has a good year should be able to go to his boss and ask to be compensated for that good year. His mistake was not aligned with reality for most folks who have had "good years." The irony on his ignorance is that his boss is ultimately the "owners" which is in all of sports, unique to Packer shareholders and I'd say all Packer fans. Then when he misled the fans to his status, he doubles down on his request for requisite treatment for his football success, while insisting he is the victim of his non-football behavior and absurd takes on a pandemic. I'd have Jordan Love lead with his best from this moment on. Rodgers would then be able to be called upon in reserve if he shows a requisite amount of humility to the fans/owners.

Sucks that he's battling an injury that will keep him out of practice. He hasn't had a full week of practice since the week before the Washington game. He was rusty on Sunday and not practicing played apart in that

Yes, it's important for offense continuity and rhythm with the receivers

I get the comments that vets don't need as much practice, but even after just over a week sidelined we saw that timing and rhythm with teammates can be affected.

I am hoping to finally see a game where both the offense and defense put it together at the same time. How sweet would it be to have it be against the Vikings. I am guessing this will be another game where the D will need to come up big. That being said, it is nice that our D can win us some games now.

The better our D becomes, the less-reliant the team becomes on the QB. This is probably the recipe for next year's team. Baltimore and Denver have proven that excellent defense and a game-manager at QB can win you a Super Bowl.

Dr. Rogan was so busy with his cutting-edge virology research that he referred the case to Dr. Van Nostrand.

Bunch of butt hurt haters on this thread, but at least you guys are consistent.. Rodgers doesn’t owe you an apology, he owes you wins.. “Let the love era begin durrr”, guess you enjoyed that awesome chiefs game, ridiculous..Blame the o line all you want, Rodgers wins that game by 3 scores.. God I hope he gets extended just so you can act like he cheated on you like a jealous gf..If not you’ll get exactly what you wish for a dumpster fire that could last for a decade.. For reference see the bears..

Good luck on another NFC championship game "appearance." You think 13-3 seasons are the standard for the GBPs. I'm not just talking about Rodgers either. I say this so you can bury your notion we true fans pick and choose who and what's good for the collective effort.
