I always feel bad for AJ Hawk he is super consistent though he lacks skills in coverage.
This makes me a bigger fan of Hawk as a player.
End of the day, you just do your job. I don't think it was a punishment but trying to find a way to get a better pass rush. I am aware that they keep MOVING Hawk and giving Matthews his JOB but it isn't a penalty...they aren't reducing his check just using him in different ways.
I am happy he isn't a prima donna and I respect his work ethic. One of my FAVORITE PLAYERS on the field until they put him in COVERAGE and I am shouting at him.
I am not the kind of person that collects AUTOGRAPHS but I have his...He is a model player and an example I use for my son, all the time.

Yes, he is an exemplary professional. I try not to be critical of people for lack of talent, and sometimes fall short of that. However I am critical of a lack of respect or understanding of what your profession requires of you. Hawk passes that test with an 'A'

He's a good guy but he can't play any more. Jumping on the pile after 10 yd. gains to add up stats just doesn't cut it.
