NO, Aaron, we're not going to have to push the ball downfield, at least until you show you can actually HIT the man running downfield, and the offensive line actually gives you enough time to even attempt it. The Packers just ran for 203 yards against the #1 defense in the NFL. Jones had 143 of them and there was an AJ Dillon sighting and he actually had a few nice runs too. I was reading comments on this site after the loss to the Bills. So much bitter "sky falling" type from many of fans, despite many was predicted even harder loss before the game even started.

For few things I think the game confirmed that D is not problem. Problem exists on the O. Todays Packers O can not score more than 24 points and vs very good and excellent teams Packets can not win.

IF they can get the line to pass block, teams will sell out on the run and the Packers can then take advantage of it with the passing game. A novel idea would be to attack some more in the mid-range since all they've basically done are short and behind the line passes or take shots. They more or less had to do that against the Bills when they went to single high a few times but with lesser teams it will make them vulnerable.

Bills stopped the run when they needed to - on 4th down attempts. They were pretty much toying with us letting us run and burn the clock. So this entire line of thinking is unproven until we win with it. Does anyone care if AJ runs for 2000 yds but we have a 3-14 record? But even still - it took 3 losses in a row for MLF to get AJ more touches. Had he done that earlier, we probably win 2 of those. So he should be on a very hot seat.

I know there are a lot of voices to run run run but I say how many points did we put on the board running. If your not mixing up the run with the pass your not balanced and your not forcing the defense to spread itself out.
At the end of the Bills came proves my point. Were down 17 in the 4th. Its too dam late to just start tossing the ball around like were now shifting gears. That never freeking works. But thats what we got into because while we were running wild in the first half, the other team was passing for quick touchdowns. 24 points we gave up to the other team while we were running a lot. We did a good job running out our own clock.

I completely disagree. Do they add to the winning column no. But they do count. When a team is playing as bad as the Packers had been, to finally come out of a game feeling good about some things, is a moral victory and that matters.

The Packers were playing without a lot of key top players. They only allowed 3 points in the 2nd half. They forced 2 interceptions and a punt. For the people that are saying the Bills didn't try? Really? So they just let the Packers run all over them and they had Josh Allen throw 2 interceptions?
Had the refs not screwed up the OPI call it would have been a 6 point game on the final drive. That would have changed a lot of things.

Rodgers isn't wrong. They have to be able to throw the ball downfield. But it has to be as a compliment to the running game. They finally found something they can hang their hat on offensively with the run game. They finally found the running game. And not just working, dominating. But they have to be able to compliment the running game with the downfield throwing. The OL struggled in the first half but played much better in the 2nd half. Doubs looked really good down field catching just about everything his way. Toure had a big play. Rodgers looked pretty good catching the ball downfield. If Watson can make it back will be a downfield threat. They will get Lazard and Cobb back at some point.

The Bills game should be used as a moral victory. Because it should set them up into feeling good about going into Detroit and winning. IF they win at the Lions, it could be the turning point in the season.

MLF standing by Barry is all we need to know concerning how the remainder of this season will play out. Without strong defensive play we're not going to win many games going forward with an offense that has an OL playing as poorly as the Packers OL is currently playing. Yes they ran the ball well but when we needed to win on 2 4th down situations our OL was pushed back and we failed to gain the yardage needed for the first down. Both times we were in Buffalo territory. Both times the Bills went with Cover Zero and we couldn't win the LOS.

this is why Rodgers is correct that you need to move the ball down the field. Just like you need to run to pass, you also need to pass effectively for the run to succeed. Teams are playing single high safety against the Packers to stop the run and when we attempt a pass they are just blowing past our OL and top of Rodgers by the time he receives the snap. When he had time he was able to get deep passes off to Doubs and Toure which resulted in TD strikes. we. should have had 3 TDs but absurd officiating took the Tonyan TD off the board.

Rodgers thumb is still injured and once again we face an opponent which provides a good opportunity for Love to play and give Rodgers thumb some time to heal. another move that the Packers should make is to replace Savage with Ford or anyone who knows how to tackle. Maybe Douglas should move to Safety with Amos and Ford should be the slot CB. I'm not sure which is best but Savage has been hurting the defense all season. Something needs to change. Lowry should be chucked as he has proven to be useless. Gives his snaps to Wyatt and Slayton and let's see what happens.

As for the receiving corps let's go with Doubs, Toure and Lazard when he's back and rotate in Cobb (when healthy) and Watkins in specific downs and distances. I'm not sure about Watson. He looks like he needs another season to be ready to play in the NFL if he can stop being injured.

The OL is a mess. The Packers need Jenkins back healthy. At least then the left will be solid with Bak and Jenkins. Myers has not played very well this season and the right side continues to be a sieve even with Runyon and Neiman. Maybe the right side needs a few weeks to gel. The Bills were pushing both of them all over the field for most of the game. All of this should have been figured out during TC and pre-season. The fact that is obviously wasn't is on the coaches.

There are no moral victories in professional sports. You either win or you lose. Find your best 11 on both sides of the ball, come up with a game plan, execute for 60 minutes and get after the opponent. Half a game is not good enough and a few splash plays won't cut it either. Thanks, Since '61
