Davante Adams practices again, Josiah Deguara returns

Jordan Love was the only new absence on Friday as the team prepares for the Falcons game on Monday night.

The Packers held their weekly padded practice today and Davante Adams was on the field for the second day in the row, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky

This obviously bodes well for the veteran receiver's chances of playing on Monday night against the Falcons.

Returning to practice was rookie tight end Josiah Deguara, who tried to practice early last week before being shut down. After he did not participate yesterday, he was at least suited up and on the field today. It's a promising sign, but his availability for Monday night could still go either way.

One notable absence was rookie quarterback Jordan Love, who did not appear on yesterday's injury report.

In other positive injury news, Rashan Gary, who left Sunday night's game with an ankle injury and who was limited in practice yesterday, was suited up and on the field today. Again, that bodes well for his availability on Monday night.

Earlier today, head coach Matt LaFleur confirmed that wide receiver Allen Lazard suffered a core injury during Sunday's game and would be out indefinitely.

Here's Friday's injury report:

Key game going into the bye week, guys that can play (without further injury) should play.

We're playing an 0-3 team outside of the NFCN. This is not a key game. I would like to win it since it is an NFC team, but this is far and away from being an important match up.

I'd rather have potentially borderline healthy players like Adams or Clark (etc) stay off the field and come back as healthy as possible ready to make a run starting week 6 after the bye.

Besides, I'd love to see our TE and RB group take another step.

Don’t care who we are playing. Play to win every week. Every game counts. Play who is available.

Agreed D... Not saying take big risks just play who is ready to play - Don't try to be cute and overthink it. I assume, 90% in the NFL is ready to go, as we always here no one is 100%. Which is believable. Its a crazy tough sport. The Docs/Players know what can be played with and what can't...Yes, hammys are tricky, thick its fine, then out of nowhere. ting...

in a season where we are extremely thin at WR and DL, I just don't agree on playing Adams and/or Clark in the Falcons game before the bye.

For me, it would be different if it was a division rival, particularly the Bears at this point. But it isn't. It's the Falcons, in a game that is unlikely to affect the outcome of the NFC North.

I know that nothing is given and wins are valuable, but I don't believe that has to mean that foresight and analysis should be discarded.

Agree. It is a simple calculation. If a player can play, he suits up. I never like the thinking that you will easily beat a losing team so back off and rest players. This is the NFL...the Falcons are backed up against the wall and they are an NFC TEAM. So this game is important. And by now, most players are playing with dings and minor injuries.

To me, it's not about taking the Falcons lightly. It's about recognizing that the NFL season is a marathon, not a sprint. We exercise caution with borderline injuries to key players for the same reason we don't hand the ball off to Jones 30 times a game, or play the Smiths every snap. Especially with soft-tissue injuries, which go beyond the inflammation issues of a bum ankle or whatever...

I think, with the bye week on the horizon, Clark and Adams both play but they'll be on a restricted snap count.

The more you do practice about your sport the more you learn and remain fit. I choose to spend time at https://www.proessaywriting.com/pay-someone-to-write-my-paper/ where I find useful tips which I apply later on.

Jordan Love is out with an “illness.” He’s not on the COVID list at this point so who knows.

Davante Adams was shown yesterday hoping over the bleachers to retrieve a loose football. I would have ruptured my Achilles ( I already have) and blown out both hamstrings. Something tells me he’s playing. If he was concerned he would have never attempted that jump.
