Davante Adams Says Packers New Offense is Electrifying

Seems that Davante Adams is really liking what he's seen so far of the Matt Lafleur offense. Listen in to what he had to say on the Jim Rome show...

Here's a bonus clip of Adams talking about his first love (Basketball, not Football).

Sounds like Davante is all in on the new offense. I really like hearing that LaF is so hands-on. And it's good to see him tossing the ball around too. It appears that LaF will earn his respect by being down in the trenches with the players...

1. Jim Rome is a toolbag. I never listen to him. He's worse than Bayless IMO.

2. Davante is saying the right things. Let's see the actions on the field.

Bearmeat,

You say ... " Davante is saying the right things. Let's see the actions on the field."

His actions have been pretty elite the last couple of years.

Not good enough for you???

Was talking about the offense as a whole, not Davante in particular. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

I don't think it's possible for anybody to be worse than Bayless.

I'm not a big Rome fan but I can't agree he's worse than Skip Clueless, or Colin Cowherder for that matter. Those two are the worst by far.

A young coach full of energy running around usually creates a positive environment. However, it will all come down to blocking, tackling, and most importantly execution. My wish is for the running game to be a consistent and major factor, which could make our offense dominant again.

he's not going to be running around and being everywhere as davante said now that he's injured his achilles. going to be interesting to see how that changes the dynamics.

The funny thing is D Adams impression.

This must be a heck of a jump/difference from last year.

But is hard to imagine such a big difference from year to year in the NFL.

Wishing.

I have a very positive feeling about this year's team. This is a playoff team and should be a contender soon

WOW..... I just picked up on something I didn't know about until just now which makes Adams all the more IMPRESSIVE...

He didn't start playing football until his JUNIOR year in HS and then played just 2 years in college at Fresno St...

SO... Adams was playing in just his 5th season of organized football his rookie year.... That IMO is absolutely amazing.

I believe our receiving corp is young but I think they will catch on in the second year with Matt LaFleurs system. We have a lot of speed on offense and defense and Aron will get more time to throw the ball

The solid running game will take pressure off of Rodgers and the young receivers. The offense should be very efficient because of the unknown with LaFleur, much like Nagy last year in Chicago.

The fact that they chose not to draft any WRs indicates the team's faith in the youngsters. Interesting bit about Davante being inexperienced. I seem to remember he had a rough rookie season. People were writing him off as a bust. You just can't always tell, even after the first year.

Hey Mark! I agree! Look at some of the past teams. Jordy and Driver didn’t exactly light it up their 1st season either. But year 2 they were both becoming big parts of the offense. I think you can also make the argument that 2nd year guys have more potential than the past players I mentioned. And I think Allison takes a big leap this year.

Mark, Actually Adams had a nice/average rookie season but it was his 2nd year where he had the high ankle sprain (almost his whole game is his quick feet/hip flip that fakes defenders out of their shoes) and then he started IMHO trying too hard and dropping passes. A lot of people were down on him (I'm happy to say I wasn't one of them, but I could of been just as easily wrong, lol) but his hard work and great practice ethic has gotten him to where he is now. Fast becoming one of my favorite players.
