The whole point of “gut reactions” was bullet-point written statements that went right to the heart of the matter.

It was a great concept and very popular.

What is going on?

Twenty-plus minute watch vs. three-four minute read. SMH

Are they TRYING to push us to other sites?

CHTV is my go to for every day except game day these days. Just popped in on the off chance someone posted something interesting.

"Twenty-plus minute watch vs. three-four minute read."

Nail, meet hammer!

Well stated Jurp and I couldn't agree more.

Please bring back the written "Gut Reactions".

Text doesn’t make one the star as much as impromptu banter with a camera on you. More prone to being challenged in a visible and sustained way than a call in too.

I don't know Nagler or if he likes the limelight, but your points are well made CW. Being selfish I relate to Jurp's sentiments - I would really rather have a quick read than a lengthy verbal diatribe. I think the podcast is easier for Nagler and does not subject him to the precision and conciseness that goes into a written piece.

I very seldom watch a sports or news video in place of a well written article. I can read much faster than listen to video banter. And I can skim over parts of articles not of interest. (IE I am not a die hard beer aficionado, Sorry Tim)

I am not alone in preference for well written articles. Note the vote: comments to CHTV's many videos are very few in comparison to well written, topic driven articles.

Videos are faster and easier to produce and are proliferating on many sites. But I will continue to mostly skip them except for inserted videos within a written article...short comments from a player or play video.

Truth! Video is for film analysis. Speaking of which, I hope Dusty comes back ...

With all the negative reaction to no more text gut reaction, a possible solution...

Text to speech or speech to text software. Some cost. Edit as you like. Not a lot of extra work. Probably an extra beer. Win, win.

Took the words right out of my mouth. If it's all off the top of your head, that's easy enough.

I don't think the downs understand what speech to text software would do. Nagler can do his extemporaneous video review. With the software running at the same time his words are converted to text automatically. When he is done, edit, chop, delete, add into a bulleted review. Both video and written review are posted together. How is that bad?

My gut reactons are:
- although he faced 2nd and 3rd stringers, Wilson looks NFL ready as RB3. Again.
- If Melton, DuBose or Heath don't make the roster, none of them will clear waivers. Toure is the only one who can,
- I feel the energy on D and I hope it was only a bad day in Denver last week.

Anyone can share some deeper thoughts on O-line?

I wouldn't be too sure about DuBose...the preseason is littered with guys who catch a bunch of passes but don't make 53s. No catches today leaves him at 5 for 66, which isn't distinctive. That said, the Packers have a deep group and everyone knows it.

38 “regular” Packer players did not participate.38? I am not even sure that many guys could fit on the sideline. Did they have guys up in the Sky Box or were they in a hotel somewhere near Lambeau? All kidding aside you just can’t take very much from these games. I don’t blame the team for sitting players to avoid injuries. However, let’s stop pretending something meaningful was gleaned from this exhibition.

The meaningful part is competition for roster spots.

Nags - please tell me you're familiar with the song Big Game Hunter by Buck Owens and the Buckaroos! And if you're not - you should become so!

I watched Monk and Caleb Jones and I think Monk might be a starter and I hope Caleb can make the squad.

Plus another vote for the bullet points.

This site is going downhill. They lost a lot of posters due to the video chat format and all the ads. Cant hardly do this web page on an iphone the ads take up all the space. Ditto for a tablet, the top banner moves to block content.
It wont be long before this becomes a dinosaur. Too bad.
NBC Pro Football Talk lost 90% of its clients when they elimnated comments.
