Gut Reactions: Packers get signature win over 49ers

Aaron gives his gut reactions to the Packers thrilling win over the 49ers

  • Loved the fight from this team tonight
  • Good to see a bit of a commitment to the running game
  • I thought this team had no shot without Elgton Jenkins and I was dead wrong.
  • Where were you when the legend of Yosh Nijman was born?
  • Kenny Clark was all man tonight.
  • Also, Tyler Lancaster absolutely stepped up tonight.
  • Always satisfying when the Packers are able to overcome their opponent AND the refs.
  • Seriously, that non-call on the shot Davante took was total bullshit.
  • As was the phantom PI on Stokes.
  • As was the non-call on the obvious grounding at the end of the half.
  • Joe Barry. I see you.
  • He took his lumps along the way, but that was a hell of a performance from Stokes.
  • Give me a reason not to have another kid just so I can name him Mason.
  • This was absolutely a signature win for Matt LaFleur.
  • So, so proud of this team.
  • Go Pack Go.

The only thing about this game that was unexpected was being up 17-0 in the first half. Everything else, the Special Teams huge return given up, the missed 3rd & 4 pass to Adams’ knees, the two 3rd & 10 conversions allowed by the defense, and giving up the final TD for the loss, is straight out of the script writers’ room.

Wait, did I have that right? Was it 17-0? Better check CBS.com’s box score to make sure, since I turned off the TV after the touchdown.

WTF, the Packers have the ball with 17 seconds left? Better run back and turn the TV back on…

AND THAT’S WHY YOU ALWAYS WATCH UNTIL THE END, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN.

Go Pack Go!

Mason Crosby is a BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD Man!!!!

There, now Rodgers has a comeback against a team with a winning record at the time. So enough of that dumb stat.

First game in a truly hostile environment and the Packers had a LOT of problems getting plays off on time. Rodgers signaling to receivers not to go in motion because there's no time, timeouts, delays and whatever that ugly, disgusting, ridiculous (ok we get it Becky) 4th down play was. I WISH they had gotten a delay on that one.

One day the Packers will have good special teams. I might be too old to enjoy it - but someday.

Lenoir asked if he wanted to cover Adams anymore...quote Lenoir "nevermore". Davante Adams is a BAAAAD Man!

In the first half, the Packers could rush 11 and not get to the QB. lol I laugh not to cry. Ok Preston had a big pressure to stop a drive when the 9ers had big momentum. Overall, this was the D we were afraid of in the 2nd half. Long, endless drives with the D pretty much helpless.

But THEN the big turnover! They are going to be roller coaster ride like the 2011 D I think.

Lots of deep shots tonight. But with the 9ers CB woes this seemed smart.

How goddamn fun was that! That's what sports are for.

Proud of this team. They came out swinging and played all 60 minutes. The disgusting hit on Adams plus the atrocious reffing from start to finish made it impossible to enjoy this game, but I'm glad the good guys came out on top. Rodgers, Adams, Jones, the offensive line, the defense(?!), freaking Mason Crosby...what an effort.

yeah im usually all about letting them play, but these refs didnt let them play at all. they flagged everything except that clear intentional grounding on jimmy G, which was a sack and he just threw it into the ground. it didnt even reach the LOS. he was clearly in the pocket, and there was no Wr in the vicinity whatsoever. and the adams hit, the dude watched the ball hit the ground and then went after his head. hes getting a big ass fine. i dont agree with reviewing that shit tho. this league needs less reviewing, not more. they dont need to be throwing flags after a damn play after watching it on camera while stopping the game. its just too much horse shit that has nothing to do with football. that asshole will get a nice fine, it made me sick, that play did. but we really do not need any more stopping the game to review shit to decide whether to throw MORE flags. its getting out of control already. i was watching football with my father in law the other day, who is not a real football fan. hes just a casual viewer. and he was literally like " what the hell am i watching?" between the flags, the reviewing, its out of control. just my humble opinion.

Disagree about not stopping the game to review dangerous play. Game stopped for a couple minutes anyway while we were waiting to see if Dante was hurt.

What better use of a replay to limit to injuries that threaten the future of football. NFL should also eject players for
Those hits.

If the ref had thrown the flag, the player would probably have been ejected, because he was leading with his helmet - targeting, which is grounds for ejection.

However, he will get a fine from the league next week.

yeah. maybe. idk. its a violent sport. it did look like he was headhunting. but its so fast its really hard to say. its a violent sport. i say review it after and maybe a supsension for the next game. i watched team usa in the olympics this year, theres no replay at all, and it was fucking awesome. i know im dreaming and this is the world we live in now, i dont trust these refs enough to trust their judgement during a game. they could eject somebody for a bang bang play, and then everybodys like what the fuck this is football!!??? i dont trust them with that power. have a committee review it after, even if its not a foul on the field, and do your punishments then. these guys are too incompetent to be ejecting people and reviewing even more shit than they already do. it was a flag fest already. they need to get back to letting them play football a little bit more. its all about fantasy football now. idk. just me. they can suspend him afterwards.

Not just about fantasy football, it's about legalized betting, too. Several of the penalties last night could've/may have swung the game to the Packers - or were an attempt to swing it to the 9ers. Who's to know? And what kind of safeguards do we the fans have that a ref or refs aren't "dirty"?

Play was already stopped because Adams had been knocked out by that hit,. Your argument fails if they change the rule to read: "If there's a shot to the head and the player is down, then review the play for a Targeting penalty". Targeting also needs to be an automatic ejection like in college.

Tom Brady has always trusted the kicker. He's had some pretty big wins over the years due to great kickers.

That's why in their season opener vs. the cowboys Brady had zero hesitation to throw the ball directly out of bounds three times in a row in the red zone and let the kicker take the walk off field goal for the win.

It’s a shame that there’s not some kind of a ‘clutch’ measure for kickers - like say, 4th quarter success percentage when the spread is only 4 or less - that would really put context to the work that Crosby and Tucker laid down this weekend.

Huge win. I'll own it. I thought we were going to get boat raced. I was glad to be wrong. This is a season defining win that sets off a big run. YES. Congrats to MLF and Mason you are THE MAN.

I hated the 3 and out deep ball series. The only thing missing from that mess was a sack on 3rd down. We've seen that movie so many times. But overall? We controlled the LOS on BOTH sides of the ball against a team that has invested MASSIVE draft capital there - when we have not. Well. Done.

Huge gut-check, road win for this team.

Kudos to Stokes and to Nijman. The SF pass rush all but disappeared in the second half, so they never got the better of this young Packers front. Both Packers lines were physical tonight.

Sure would've liked to have seen something other that ARod airing the ball out 3 times on that 3-and-out in the 4th quarter, but they got it done. Sure felt like a game that someone had decided the Packers weren't supposed to win.

1-0 this week!

Been watching Packer games for an awfully long time, and there have been a lot of angry ref moments, in more important games, but the refs tonight may have angered me more than any of the others. So tonight's win is one of the more gratifying. Rodgers and Davante and then Mason in those last 37 seconds were spectacular. But the O-line stood tall during those seconds as well.

Great team win! And that includes you, Joe Barry!

I agree: I was angry and thought the refs were going to find a way to let the 49ers get a win with penalties on every 3rd down at the end. Rodgers did his magic again, and got protection to give him time for a couple of long throws to get in field goal range. Great team win and morale booster. Defense is improving, and many players contributed with pressures, hard hits, team tackling. Its a new system and players will only get better. So happy with the win!

Right now, Jenkins is probably a better bet by virtue of game experience if viewed in isolation. The questions I can’t answer, as I’ve yet to watch rather than listen to the game, is whether Nijman might be an upgrade at RT or if Jenkins would be a significant enough upgrade at guard to outweigh the difference between him and Nijman at LT.

Nijman, once he got his feet, far exceeded my expectations in very tough circumstances. At some point, he needs to play.

Turner's movement skills at the RT are commendable and he earned that spot. Jenkins could slide to his spot at LT and Nijman would be OK to hold the fort as he did not show cowardice in the match with Bosa. A ggod problem to have with Runyan competing. Trades are possible as Patrick is now a backup. Bhak will be out until Nov-mid.

I firmly believe the Packers could do this. Yosh had the pedigree before he stepped foot in Green Bay. The guy had always been an effective LT and RT at Virginia Tech as a 4 year starter - giving up ONLY ONE sack thru those 4 yrs, on a busted play to Ximines from Penn St. He was just so damn huge, and unorthodox as a result, but always got the job done in both run and pass blocking. All he needed was a chance to develop his technique at the NFL level.

The Packers knew this and very patiently stashed him on PS, 53 man roster and IR in order to keep other teams away so they could continue to work with him. Very solid results in his first start at the most important position on the team after QB1.

Yosh could pull that off in Bakhtiari's stead till he returns to lineup. Couldn't ask for a more solid performance from a backup, backup LT.

Could it be that Lancaster is now over his elbow(?) injury at the end of camp? He looked like a different player. It could be usage or a technical correction.

Though it gets lost in the mix, Garvin seems to be emerging slowly over the last couple of games. That is a big boost if true and will help even when Z comes back.

Great effort by the entire team to overcome adversity throughout the game. OL did a great job without Jenkins. Defense was physical. Officials were absolutely terrible. How they did not make the call on the helmet to helmet hit on Davante? So much for player safety. Terrible call on Stokes and the non-grounding call.

Rodgers, Jones, and Adams were great again. Can't say enough about Crosby. He's clutch and he's brilliant.

KO coverage was the only major failure.

It’s hard to knock a performance like that or running with Adams as a winning hand, but I’d be a lot happier to see other receivers more involved in the non blocking game. I’m not blaming that all on Rodgers. It seems like LaFleur wasn’t looking for much illusion of complexity either. It worked, but it won’t always.

On the positive side, we saw LaFleur stick with the run game and use Jones and Dillon to keep SF honest. It worked.

first off. that intentional grounding by jimmy g was such a blatant miss by the refs. but it all worked out when he tried it that second time and threw the fuckin ball backwards!!! that was great. even with all the penaltys. the D at least played with heart. this reminded me of the colts game last year alot, with the three and outs, on 3 deep shots, putting the D in a tough spot. but its an offensive league man. all you can expect from your defense is to get sacks, get in the backfield, get a pick. they did those things. they made the splash plays. gotta shoutout the role guys today too. lancaster, lowry, and campbell. i was wrong about him so far hes been a solid start in the middle there. even tho the D broke down in the end, part of that was just kittle doing what he does, and Deebo making a ridiculous grab with jaire on the ball. any other Wr that wouldve been a pbu. they almost let them steal it, but rodgers made it happen at the end when it counted. what an exciting awesome fucking game against the asshole 49ers. they tried to bully us today like they always try. but i think the packers bullied them just a little bit more.

I agree that Black is a situational tackler close to the line at this point. Safety coverage is one of the roles that takes the longest time to master. Black may improve, but when healthy, Scott is probably in that role (he looked a little further on in coverage before injury).

To put it mildly, this was a very hard-earned W -- in SF, against a tough team and, well, a crappy officiating crew, as was pointed out. The non-call on Garaffolo's intentional grounding (and of course, they took advantage) turned the game around. And a horrible non-call on the helmet to helmet (and defenseless receiver) on DA. And other ticky-tack calls went the Niners' way a few times. But oh well...

Some things to work on, but this team is coming together.
Well done, boys -- this is probably the type of game we'll have to win more of if we're going to make - and advance in - the playoffs. Special shout-out to Aaron, DA and Mason making it happen at the end. A great pick by Jaire, who also had some not-so-great moments, and Stokes looked good...I think he's a good one in the making.

I would not say Stokes looked good, but he looks like a better bet than King. He will win enough and continue to improve with playing time. Most importantly, he looks like he has the tools and attitude: what he lacks is snaps. He should be the starter—not least because it will make him better by the post season.

(1) Men our age who have kids are paying child support until after they die.
(2) Bosa got his, but he does against everyone. The play calling helped a lot. Yeah, Nijman looked ready. Makes you wonder if they can afford to plug Jenkins back in at LG.
(3) Davante Adams is the man, but they need to use him as the bait on that failed 3rd down, not the guy.
(4) I thought this defense would take 8 weeks to round into shape. They aren't quite there yet, but they took a huge step forward tonight.

Through all the ups and downs, it seemed our defense played energetic and physical football from beginning to end.
It was as though it was unrecognizable from the first two games, a dramatically different unit remarkably to the better.
Congrats to Joe Barry and the suddenly scrappy Packers D!!!

Rodgers had an open guy on that 3rd down miss to Adams. But Rodgers can't resist when he sees tight man to man with no help on Adams with just some guy. Give that some guy credit on that one.

On the 3rd down where they had to kick the field goal when Rodgers and Adams couldn't connect in the corner with one on one coverage it looked like someone (I think it was MVS) was wide-open in the middle of the field but Rodgers saw the presnap declaration of one on one with Adams and he will choose that near every time.

My gut reactions:
- Should have gone for the 3 points at 4th and goal. It would have made a difference. LaFleur has to learn that.
- Amari Rodgers I thought had a couple of opportunities returning punt. One he made a fair catch and the other he should have gone on the outside.
- Another gaffe from the special teams.
- This was a tough game for the Packers to win on the road against a good team. The refs tried their best to help the 49ers. It was so obvious that Garappolo was downing the ball.
- Stokes had a tough night and the refs didn't help. But I like what I see. He is always around the ball. Good things will happen to him by the end of the season.
- On the towndown run by 49ers from the 2 yard line. There was only one LB for GB. How does that happen????? Telling of the LB depth. Gute better start looking for a LB pickup soon. Don't wait.

It has been a long road for Yosh. It is good to see the Packers' patience pay off. I didn't know what to expect when I saw him go in. There was a lot of quick passing going on in the first half to help neutralize Bosa & Co. There was some chipping to help Yosh out too. It was a good outing against a Pro Bowl-caliber player.

One thing I'm really disgusted by - the roughing call on Jaire. 1 step, maybe 1.5 steps. That ought to be legal.

It seemed like a genius play by Jaire to rush the quarterback -- in effect, a delayed blitz -- when he determined his man in coverage wasn't going to be a factor for that play.
Then he did a good job of holding up after the throw and just glancing the quarterback.
As you stated, Mark, that ought to be legal.
P.S. Then figure in the interception when Jaire apparently made an excellent adjustment on the fly to leave his coverage in order to go for the ball.
Those two plays are strong evidence, it seems to me, that the guy is not only physically gifted, but also perhaps extremely smart on the field.

Easy to overlook how impressive it was for the whole offense, especially the O Line, to line up and not false start after the final catch to get them in FG range. A false start, e.g. Rodgers/Meyers snapping the ball too soon, in a panic, before everyone is set and not only is it a 5 yard penalty but the penalty is a moot point since there is an automatic ten second runoff. Game over without the FG attempt. I was so impressed with how calm the offense was, especially with all the inexperience on the O Line. Rodgers made sure not to call for the snap until he was sure everyone was set, even as the clock was ticking towards zero. I’m sure they practice that over and over, but it’s still easy to panic when a real game is on the line.

you might as well roll with 3 down when the other alternative is ty summers or burks. roll with 3 and play man on the back end. or roll with 2 down and blitz more. its too hard to cover in this league. you have to blitz and get pressure. they are calling every little ticky tack dpi they can. just bring the house and play man like many other d coordinators are doing now adays.

4th and 1 in the latter part of the first half and you throw to the corner of the end zone to a covered DA? Why didn't they give it to Dillon for the 1 yard? He was a second round pick! Why did you draft him if not for a situation like this? And you could have learned so much about him whether he made the yard or not! SMH with some of the play calling.

its rodgers. everybody continues to call out play calling. rodgers checks in out and of runs and passes at the line every damn play. when rodgers sees man coverage, he just wings it. regardless if its 4th and 1 or 1st and 10. regardless of the situation. hes gonna wing it. he did it 3 plays in a row the previous drive and went 0 for 3. why? because its single coverage and thats where his qb brain tells him to throw it, regardless of what time is on the clock, what quarter, what down. its tough to watch when it fails.

Great win for the Packers. Loved seeing the victory celebration on the field after the FG.

What has to stop going forward is 18 out of 30 passing attempts targeting Davante Adams.
Only 4 balls thrown to WR's not named Davante Adams.

Between episodes of ridiculous hero ball that almost always end in 3-and-outs and the excessive tunnel vision on #17, this behavior WILL cost us big games down the road.

they also had extra protection in, and the 49ers were playing man with 3rd string corners. thats a recipe to throw to davante. sometimes there were only 3 guys or 4 guys running routes. if davante is single covered, thats analytically your best bet.

i hear you. you could be right. but not today. but teams are seeing the same thing we all see. they play 2 high and dare rodgers to run. hes gonna get impatient and they know it. the niners were way down the depth chart on their corners. but in the same breath, that tunnel vision got them down the field for the win. it usually does work, but the 3 deep shot thing for 3 and out has to stop. colts game nightmares all over again. you cant go 3 and out after the D was just on the field for 8 minutes or whatever it was.

I think you're correct on this. Oppy is right to think this won't work against some teams. SF does not have a high end CB who could contain Adams, so Davante was a mismatch on every play. SF's CB2 isn't bad, so Lazard/MVS are not mismatches.

I think it made sense for Adams to be targeted on 54.5% (gulp - that is a biiig number) of AR's pass attempts. My, that is a big number. It worked and will work against some teams. It was the AR to Adams show with 37 seconds left. I think long term and come playoffs, it is an issue.

8 points

Oppy's picture

that's 54.5% overall, but it was 77.8% of all WR targets.

If Rodgers continues to eschew the majority of the receiving corps, I simply don't understand why we even bother lining up in any formation that consists of 3 or more WRs. Might as well just line up in T, I, Pro and Wing sets. We can either go power run, or Rodgers can throw it to Davante in bracketed coverage. It would actually benefit LeFleur's desired play style, anyways.

Let's stop with the charade that is running the offense in singleback or shotgun looks. Rodgers won't use the other WRs so long as Davante is on the field. I can't believe we wasted a roster spot on Randall Cobb to appease this guy. What was the point.

why are you bitching after today? i was bitching after week one, even week 2, but today it worked. davante is the best wr in the nfl. mvs was hurt later in the game, so rodgers didnt go to him. they were playing MAN. if your going to play MAN against davante, you throw him the ball, especially if the man corner is emannuel mosley who is banged up, or there 4th and 5th string corners. 5th string. theyve lost 3 guys this year at least, and 2 in that game. so yeah, davante was the right call. 77 percent is a lot. but against man, single team coverage, davante is the answer. its the reason they came back and won, on the road, with 37 seconds left. i understand the tunnel vision issue, but this is a very good defense. its basically the same as the bucs. shit corners, awesome front. man defense all day. if you can block, davante should get open on man coverage every single time. i dont like the 3 and outs. and cobb made 3 first downs last week on 3rd down. it was understandable to hate on rodgers after week one, BUT WE WERE WRONG. accept it. own it. move on with this horse shit. it might hurt us, but today it won them the freaking game. he hit lazard deep, he hit mvs for a td. the times he did go to the other guys it was on big plays. if you go to davante enough, the other guys benefit from that as well. and as for single back. and shotgun. they like to spread guys out, and let aaron jones find the hole in space. if you pinch everybody in, that equals less space. aaron jones does his best work in space.

San Francisco lined up over and over where they totally declared it was one on one coverage of Adams. Rodgers can't resist that, especially with a corner Adams is a big mismatch with. I don't think it's going to be seen like this many times this year. But in this game it really seemed like they were daring him to throw it to Adams deep (I guess thinking they could get to him before the routes could develop), so he said ok.

I think that is right. The real question is, this year, when we get to the playoffs (because the NFC North pretty much sucks) will AR trust anyone other than Davante? The Packers can't let this become like muscle memory. AR has to deal it to whomever is open.

Playing the hot hand is reasonable. But I do share your concern Oppy. To win over a season we absolutely need to have 2 or three other options. I do get the impression that LaFleur wasn’t scheming to use the others last night. In future games, hopefully Lazard and MVS will be needed to block less and used more variably. Last night Adams was pretty heavily playing from the slot, so Cobb wasn’t much of an option.

Agree, Aaron.

I was on here in 2019 with the signing of Yosh, telling the world what a steal of a signing he was as a UDFA… He played very, very well. Absolutely insane win, and Aaron Rodgers is just phenomenal to bring us back for Mason’s game winning FG. Just… phenomenal.

After some thought, our pass rush looked improved. By a lot. I can confirm both Lowry AND Lancaster sightings. Stokes is a player. MVS is vastly improved this year. Great to see his confidence in this offense. Barry had his guys ready. Aaron Jones is a mensch. Mo Drayton? Coverage? How about our young OL taking it to SF and punching them in the mouth?

One last: BIG meaning & importance of this Packers team being able to travel West for a Win. Huge measure of a Championship level team. Statistically, this is a very difficult feat, and a good indicator of team growth & improvement.

I recall that. I’ve been excited about Nijman’s upside since he was signed too, and regularly posted that, along with my acceptance that it was a gamble. Probably the premier T prospect in his year in terms of physical talent doesn’t go undrafted without reason. In his case the rumor emerging from friends if the coaching staff was that he was incapable of being coached versus allegations that his school never tried, preferring him to just win on athletic ability.

Looks like the Packers scouting was just smarter than others. To get a LT from there is a massive way to tilt the level playing field mechanisms. As to the college personnel who claimed it was on Nijman that he had no technique, I hope that comes back to bite you.

That Packer's starting O-Line was quite an unexpected combo but it was based on necessity and man did those five guys deliver a well played game against a very tough and aggressive D - Line.

Jaire's running interception in front of Kittle was outstanding - just a great head's up play!

Enjoyed the Season's first appearance of a sustained pass rush - great to see 'em chasing and nailing JImmy G. all over the field.

Barry brought a good defensive scheme and game plan tonight - hopefully the first of many more to come - we needed that defense to stay in the game.

Thank you Mason!

The Pack beat two teams tonight, the 49'ers and the team of refs.

Demons exorcised! We deserved to win this game, damn it-- although I wasn't so sure about that in the fourth quarter because we apparently we don't have any receiving options not named Adams. But since the connection came through in the end, we'll save that stuff for another time.

Crosby cannot be allowed to retire. Handcuff him to his locker if necessary, and don't let him leave until his hair turns totally white.

Offensive game ball: one for every member of the line; only one sack allowed and we had a respectable game on the ground. Adams, too.

Defensive game balls: P. Smith, Campbell, and yes, Barry--this team was ready to play defense and the intensity was sustained throughout. They were great in the first half.

Jerome Boger: One of my least favorites. Certainly had eagle eyes for that tripping call against Amos, but his crew missed the late hit on Adams. Something like that ought to be reviewable for sure. Also the lack of grounding on Jimmy G. at the end of the half DID cost us 7 points.

Special teams: Other than the long return near the end of the second quarter, no goofs. Crosby perfect and Bojorquez (an outstanding trade, Gute) boomed the ball.

Everybody be happy!

It's good to point out things for concern -- such as needing more diversity in passing targets -- after a game that we win.
Even if for the most part it was a good idea to lean heavily on Davante for this game, it seems like we need to spread the passes around better in most games.
Plus, Rodgers may have overdone it in going to Davante in the second half -- although the two great connections by the duo on the last drive certainly smoothed over any previous excesses.
For the Packers to learn lessons in a victory seems so much better than waiting for a loss.

-Aaron Rodgers is still the man. He's a BAAAD MAN! He missed some throws, but he also made some throws to Adams that were simply incredible. He makes them look easy and we've become used to them, but trust me, they are not commonplace.

- Crosby exorcised some demons on that kick. I am so sick of losing in that stadium. And when we needed a finish, my God did he give us one. What a kick! Wonderful -- to win any football game.

- These young offensive linemen grew up tonight. The ball coming out quick was a good game plan from LaFleur as well, and while it wasn't a perfect performance, the O-line held. They held. The. Line.

- That was some of the most horrific officiating I've ever seen. The intentional grounding no call, the crazy PI call on Stokes when the 49ers WR flopped, the vicious hit on Adams where he could've been seriously injured....and a ref was right there and did...nothing. I was screaming at my TV and was convinced some insane flag would pop out at the end to screw us over.

- Joe Barry and the D -- finally stepped up tonight. We actually generated some...pressure?! And got sacks?? Holy crap! It was nice to see Jimmy G squirm out there.

- Run D - held the Niners to 67 yards rushing. 67??!

- Special teams - we actually have a punter so far. The return units giving up that kick at the half wanted to make me puke, but at least it did not happen again.

- Memories are made of this, forever and a day, where were you watching when the Packers stuck a dagger in the hearts of the Niners and that crooked officiating crew?

I thought the Packers, who have struggled mightily in the past against fast physical teams, would get buried tonight absent several key players. They did not. They beat a superb team and overcame every adversity. This was by far the best game the Packers have played in the MLF era, and definitely a signature win. This was only one game, and a whole lot of season left, but the bar has been set for what this team is capable of. Can't wait to see more of the same.

I still think smacking the Titans all over in the snow was better but that was at home so hmm maybe this being on the road is a better win.

It was almost like the young kids on the O line didn't know the Packers are not a physical team.

Game ball to O line coach. And ladies and gentlemen do we have a defensive coordinator in GB? Dare I hope we have a coach who can make adjustments and find some pass rush when none is there?
Is Joe Barry a play caller on D? If it wasn’t for the officiating the D would’ve given up less than 20 points. Is this the start of my next man crush? Me and Joe?
I hope so!

I’ve been scathing about Barry. I admit that last night would appear to leave me with egg on my face. However, the more aggressive approach needs to continue, but last night he had a game plan and one suited to the opponent. I have to concede that. He was my biggest surprise of the night. I hope he continues to prove me wrong. That would be the best egging ever.

I liked living in the mountain time zone as far as watching night games, rather than now in the eastern time zone.
Two hours later nowadays for these games.
Worth it, though, to enjoy the aftermath of this game with other fans here at CheeseheadTV.
A good night's sleep to all, or enjoyable hours if staying up.

Joe Barry Keep that up and all is forgiven.Much improved.
Aaron Jones did a brilliant job against a stout defence.
Great Trade for our Punter.
There is much to be done but we might be capable of doing it.
Good win

This was the most exciting Packers victory I have ever had the pleasure to watch. I went straight up out of my chair in front of the TV when "Our Man Mason" kicked that winner and had to celebrate with another beer.

Well, just as most of us predicted, the Packers are 2-1 after 3 games... only it didn't happen the way we thought it would. What a roller coaster nail biter of a game! This was a gut check game that all Packer fans have to feel good about. The demons of the week one loss have been exorcised and the Packers have been reestablished as a quality contender.

Living in the Bay Area, I can't wait to wear my Packer hat around town this week.

Bring on the Steelers. I have a feeling this train is just starting to roll!
