Jordan Love is the Ice Man. I was so damn nervous I wouldn't be able to tie my own shoes much less throw darts like that one to Reed on the final drive.

Love was in command no question the stable of young receivers is very impressive, o line held up great and to give the devil his due Joe Barry had them play aggressive man to man. Special Teams still scare me, kicker just no that good and coverage team on kick offs gave them an average start at 34 yard line needs to be cleaned up. Couple of mental mistakes but they overcame those. Big Win

JJ, It's hard to be a downer with us making the PLAYOFFS!! But our kicker scares me too. I know he is a rookie, but not only is he not accurate on FGs and extra points, but he does not have a strong leg. His kickoffs are pathetically short all the time. That is doubly important this year because our kickoff coverage is sub standard. GB needs to bring in competition in the off season to see if we can find someone better. But not wasting a draft choice on one. Harold Mevis-Missouri kicker would be a good UFDA, mid 80s percentage on FGs, long of 63 yards, and has most of his kickoffs in the end zone. No missed extra points either. No missed tackles and no one gets hurt.

I'm the one that told him about Bo Melton, he was hot on Grant DuBose. I also told him Mt Caleb looked dominant, and after he went to a practice he confirmed that, adamantly. We have 3 OTs who have never played a snap, how's Gutey supposed to draft intelligently like that? 6'7" 6'8" and 6'9". I think we need 3 guys on the interior.

Well. They had a TO, missed a chip shot FG, and clock mgt at end of 1st half. “Razor” sharp- no. But ok. Except for fumble- not much about Love is well …. Not toe love! So glad Pack didn’t choke like last year!

Proof positive that MM was never going to use a RB, probably a lot of that had to do with having a QB like Rodgers, but how he has been used is absurd. Got the toughest yards when it mattered most!

Close, but still no cigar.

Rodgers had total control at the LOS.
Rodgers checked out of runs regularly- and too frequently.
MM used to let Rodgers know about it on the sidelines, too.

Post game, when the questions about Run/Pass ratios etc would come up, McCarthy would always say, every week, "Frankly, the key to being a successful ground game starts with the number of attempts. We need to be better." Rodgers post game, every week, "I feel we need to get the RBs more involved in the gameplan." or, "We need to get the RBs more touches." Rodgers very deliberately never used the phrases "Run the ball more", or that we need to "get the RBs more carries."

The proof positive is that the Packers were never going to use a RB while Rodgers was under center, and that probably a lot of that had to do with handing a QB like Rodgers total control at the LOS"

It took an awesome performance by the offense to overcome an iffy performance by the defense due to Barry playing it infuriatingly cautious.

Before the masterful last drive in the clutch by the Packers offense, the Bears had held the ball longer in time of possession (if I'm not mistaken).
To watch the game -- rather than just going by the stat sheet -- was to see that the Packers offense had to be great to overcome the Packers defense being iffy.
It's important to note that it seems the Packers defenders played very well, but they were undermined by Barry not blitzing enough in his overly cautious and highly infuriating way.
If the offense didn't come through, there's a good chance the defense loses this game due to Barry being exasperatingly soft (as in the Giants game, and almost against the Panthers).
Don't be fooled. Barry is holding back a super-talented defense.
Fire Barry before the playoffs!

That near interception by Valentine was almost a touchdown by the Bears.
Don't confuse luck with pluck.
We need a defensive coordinator with more pluck, because we can't count on luck to save us from too many gut-wrenching heartbreaks.

I don't remember the defense giving up all that many points to the Giants, either.
Against the Panthers, the defense was decent statistically until the last eight minutes or so.
Today, if the Packers don't put together a clutch drive for the last 6-plus minutes, it's the same shaky scenario with Barry bumbling along to endanger our heart health and mental sanity.
Please, let's not be fooled; end the madness!!!

For sure, there's absolutely no reason to give JB another contract. His expires at the end of this season, and there are 20 people available, each of whom would be better. But in these last two games, whoever was involved on the coaching staff, our defense both had an effective scheme, and played well.

JB cannot be trusted not to mess that up.

I want Barry fired. How much? Even if the Packers were to win the Super Bowl this year, and if the defense held the opponents to less than ten points a game, I'd want him gone. Why? Because when given the choice, Barry always returns to that maddening "stop the big play" pass defense that lets the opponent keep on picking up first downs, moving the chains and keeping the defense on the field way too long. What is maddening is that when it seems his job is on the line- like it was toward the end of last year- he suddenly was able to create defensive schemes that helped win games. Which is why the strong finish for the defense last year saved his job. And what did he do? Immediately went back to the same schemes that don't work. Three weeks in a row, Barry's ineptness made second rate QB's look like the second coming of Dan Marino. Then, just as suddenly, he turns things around and the defense actually looks good. He is that proverbial tiger that can't change its stripes. Bring in someone else once the season is over. And so a shakeup of the entire staff, starting with Stenavich once again taking over the OL, and taking a hard look at Bisaccia to see if he is the answer for ST's, or if he just doesn't like being in GB, except for the green of the money he makes.

Even worse, JB promised the defensive players they'd be allowed to play aggressively. It's what Gutey drafted them for, and they were psyched. Then - PSYCH! Nope, gotta play prevent defense as though they had a three score lead with 5 minutes remaining in the game.

JB LIED.

It almost cost the locker room. Rasul, Campbell, Ja, who else? Fortunately, winning helps EVERYTHING.

Interviewing new DC should start the day after the next loss.

I'm surprised so many Packers fans have been fooled by not seeing how bad Barry was in this game.
The defensive players had to overcome the defensive coordinator, yet the Bears still just about equaled the Packers in time of possession (with the last drive by our offense pushing us over the top in terms of minutes with the ball).
To paraphrase Mark Twain, there are lies, damn lies, and -- worst of all -- statistics.
If we don't see that, then Barry is going to rip out our hearts once again.
Without a masterful last drive by the Packers offense of over six minutes to finish the game, we would have seen another gut-wrenching and possibly heartbreaking display of ineptitude by Barry.
[P.S. Don't forget that near interception by Valentine at the goal line could just as easily have been a touchdown for the Bears.]

You are overly concerned with time of possession. Points are all that count. Giving up only 9 points, especially given the one turnover near mid-field, will win you over 90% of games (I just made that up but it's probably true). You win the award for worst take on this game with all these negative comments.

I'll take that award, because the Packers were backed up on their own 2-yard-line late in the game; and if forced to punt, our defense would have been required to overcome Barry's lack of blitzes to hold on in a one-score game.
After what happened with the Giants and Panthers, I'm surprised more fans don't see how close the Packers came to blowing another game due to obtuse overcautiousness by Barry.

By the way, our players on defense seemed good today, if not very good, if not excellent, but they did this mostly despite Barry, not because of him.

It doesn't seem like a waste of time to explain why Barry was such a masterful coach in this game, if that was indeed the case.
After Barry turned DeVito and Mayfield and Stroud into superstars-for-a-week, it would be fascinating to know how he suddenly adjusted to becoming a defensive mastermind against Justin Fields.
It's truly sad when fans resort to nastiness instead of knowledge.
If fans have the time to ridicule and scorn, why can't they make the time to say something insightful and persuasive?
The supposed stunning transformation of Barry cries out for an explanation, and yet what I'm reading in this thread is mostly dry statistics and stupid insults.

Packers defense held the Lions to 9 points, and frankly, it probably would have been limited to only 3 points if not for a very questionable 4th down conversion QB tush push and an even more suspect 3rd down conversion "Catch" by a bears WR that was reviewed, showed the ball clearly bouncing off the turf, but inexplicably not overturned.

Replace Barry, but tonight was not a bad performance.

he is running the offense like a veteran and making nice throws. What a change from the beginning of the season. It makes me wonder what would have been if our previous qb would have just thrown to the open man. This spread the ball offense is a pleasure to watch.

Of course we all want a SB but whatever happens this year in the playoffs is gravy.

JL is playing MUCH better now. He wasn't able to throw the ball away to avoid a sack before Pittsburgh. He also gets the ball out MUCH faster. Not only is he throwing to the open man, he's making great choices to gain field position. And he's hitting targets in stride much better.

The big unknown is what's his ceiling?!? I can rattle off a few refinements I'd still like to see, but his rate of progress is downright scary 😎

He's really just more consistent now.

First half of the season, he couldn't put it together in the first half of games.. but his 2nd half performances weren't much different that what he has been doing all game long during the latter part of the season.

There was a 3 game streak where he wasn't trusting his OL, and for some good reason- the OL was in a terrible funk early in the year. The true difference in Love's play from pre-steelers to post-steelers game is consistency and OL play.

Sure could've used O line play like this early in the season! JL's consistency come down to footwork. In TC he threw with all his cleats in the ground. Behind a leaky O line he developed some bad habits; hopefully he fixes that in the off-season.

I took a lot of flack for my criticisms of Rodgers over the years but it was never personal for me. My disgust was strictly about football and you hit the nail on the head as to why. Weve seen all year how effectively Lafleur can get open looks for the qb using his potent blend of presnap motions, playactions, misdirections, and overall creative playcalling. Before he was even our HC, i used to say to myself "if Rodgers ever played in a McVay/Shanahan style offense he would never lose a game." Then Lafleur is hired and I was ecstatic cuz I was finally getting my wish. 5 minutes later, Rodgers is on Kenny Mayne's show crapping on the new offense. If only he had trusted Lafleur and fully bought in, they wouldve won the super bowl in 2020 and probly 2021 too. Nobody's convincing me otherwise. Im just glad we have a guy who is bought in fully and now he, and this team, are thriving. Just win baby.

Musgrave is the back-up now.
Both are needed with Jones.

JL has only one favorite target, just like Rodgers before him.

The difference is while Rodgers' favorite target was Davante Adams no matter how many DB's were covering him, Jordan Love's favorite target is whoever is open, no matter who the receiver is.

I'd be surprised if any of those top 3 WRs are at 100% Sunday. This is what depth is for! Melton, Heath and DuBose may have to carry the G. Musgrave is basically a WR. Kraft and #33 are receivers, as checkdowns. That personnel is VERY potent! If our linemen play like this? Plus pass rush? Don't count GB out!

The 2023 Bears defense was no joke like their offense was. #1 against the run through 16 games, and Jones put up 111 yards. Middle of the road against the pass, and Love put up 316 yards and a 128.6 passer rating (and it would have been off the charts if Doubs and Melton come down with TD catches). Give this team some credit, offense and defense balled out today.

No. Those are all very valid critiques. All of MLF's weaknesses are within the HC job description. All of his strengths are as OC. Demote him and Stenavitch, bring in a good HC, and this same roster improves. Replace JB and it gets better yet. The strength and conditioning staff needs to be replaced regardless.

I also remember the Lions were the Lions and the Chiefs were the Chiefs.

We know the Packers have the talent to compete against the Cowboys, but that youth will be tested. The question is do they have the consistency and understand what it will take to play up to their own talent level when the bright lights are on them.

I have hopes they might rise to the occasion. They certainly may stumble, but as they are the youngest team to make the post season since 1974, that gives me some hope they have the grit to pull it off.

It's all playing with house money at this point for this team. If they win, they could shock the league. If they lose, the gain valuable experience to take into next season that is rare for a team this young to access.

If winning next week was a goal, playing Detroit without LaPorta and short at least one star on the other side of the ball would have been a better chance. Every loss this season was a winnable game. We expected our offense to play inconsistently, but which of those losses was not on JB?

Btw GB had a +14 point differential on the season.

Playing like they did in KC would help. (I mean player effort, not coach's game plan)

It is important to keep Jones if they can. Don't assume GB can p;encil in his replacement by devoting a 2nd or 3rd round pick. They did that with Dillon and it did not work.

We ran the ball, We stopped the run, We contained Fields, We bottled up DJ Moore. We riddled their pass D like other teams have done to us this season. We sacked the QB.

Sean Rhyan was moving large bodies off the ball.

Jordan Love was in command and accurate. Stellar performance.

Special Teams? Still gaining experience.

This team accomplished what last year’s team could not, and that is a big deal.

How this was only a 17-9 game, I'll never know.

Packers moved the ball up and down the field against a Bears defense that has been playing very well. Never punted on the day...only real blemishes were the fumble and the missed FG...and I suppose their inability to get points at the end of the first half.

Packers playing with house money. They stopped Jefferson...they contained DJ Moore--do they have an answer for CeeDee Lamb? Dallas is a notorious playoff choker. Roll the dice, and see where you end up.

dobber, it seems LaFleur in tandem with Love was masterful today, which overcame the biggest mistake of the day by the offense, due to LaFleur's mis-coaching, of not getting a field goal attempt at the end of first half.
I'll emphasize that LaFleur deserves tons of credit.
Barry deserves to be fired for playing it soft and cautious. Fortunately, his players on defense were on their game, and did enough to overcome his ongoing ineptitude, which is baffling for its denseness and/or stubbornness.

I think Love owns some bad decision making at end of half- that was supposed to be as quick end zone shot pro football teams run. I realize GB probably needs all the yds they can get with that adventure who is Anders Carlson, but that decision and the sack prior to the miss is mostly likely a Love decision…. It was a high risk play with no TO- probably bad idea to even try another play (yet I am sure not having a dependable kicker factored into it)…. I wrote way too much and and nit-picking for sure

ONE penalty (a shady one at that) in 4th quarter from most penalized team in the league showed some discipline (although I imagine a lot has to do with officiating crew seemingly letting them play). Nonetheless- one penalty (maybe 2) was refreshing

Jordan Love in his first year as a starter this year throwing to the youngest receiving group by far in the NFL:

4,359 yards...32 TDs/11 INTs. and making the play-offs. Not sure what his final QBR rating is.

Probably not going to happen, but he deserves some NFL MVP votes.

That stat between Farve/Rodgers/Love showed best stats from Love (for 1st year as starter). Didn’t Farve lead GB to playoffs also in first year? What if Love is a Frankenstein of the best if Farve and Rodgers? With most productive rookie WR group in history? Seems the future is a lot brighter today that it was last year at this time. (Except for Joe Barry)

Awesome win...I'm so happy for Jordan Love and this group of kids. You can tell they LOVE playing with one another and GOT each others back...How refreshing.

I have a feeling Aaron Jones will still renegotiate to lower his cap number next year. Whatever it ends up being, Gutey NEEDS to keep that man in Green Bay.

Wicks is turning into a Goddamn STUD. He can catch anything, runs GREAT routes already, and blocks his ass off.

I REALLY like Bo Melton. Can we please make sure Heath and Toure are BEHIND him on the depth chart.

Congrats to this Defense for playing a really good game! I thought Walker did a pretty damn good job spying on Fields.

It's on to Dallas.

You couldn't possibly ask for anything more out of the 2023 season.

Melton was dragging would be tacklers down the field. I've almost gotten used to seeing Wicks do that, but Melton is listed at #189. That's beyond impressive!!

i was ready to kill MLF at the end of the half for wasting a shot at what should be a gimme field goal though not with our kicker, but damn if Love did not see the field well, and make the throws and except for his fumble played a near perfect game. And what a difference it makes to have Jones out there for pretty near every play. Had Dillon been available no doubt MLF would have found a way to keep him off the field. But unlike last year against Detroit, these guys came ready to play. and boy do we have some keepers at receiver.

Even Jordan Love's fumble was acceptable as he was going aggressively for the first down.
If Love doesn't get the first down, we have to give the ball to the Bears anyway by punting (or take a risk on fourth down).
It's a difference of field position, for sure, but I like Love fighting for the first down on that play.
I don't expect perfection from our players, only striving to be the best they can be.

Teams can overcome a reasonable number of mistakes; but it's a lot harder to overcome Barry playing it overly cautious over and over and over again throughout this season.
He is infuriatingly dense or stubborn as a defensive coordinator.

I get that the Packers won't fire Barry before the playoff game against the Cowboys, and perhaps that's wise -- but the man is so terrible in his overcautiousness game in and game out that his density and/or stubbornness as a defensive coordinator defies explanation.

The difference between #9 at 6'4" and 80 at 5'11" is real.

A complete player, with great instincts and everything else, goes high in the draft. I want to see that capital spent on the interior O line. Assuming a new DC, secondary and ILB. Musgrave is 6'6", use him as the WR he is, let 85 take the short throws.

Well, I predicted the Pack at 6 wins and am happy that thay smashed that. I think the Pack certainly showed improvement and development over the year, and hat's all that was asked. The playoffrs are like gravy. It looks like Love is the next Packer QB to be excited about. Aaron Jones is key - lets keep him! Plenty of gas left in his tank. Looking forward to the future, GPG!

The strategy for the next season or two is to have Jones play the first two games so the Packers get off to a hot start.
Then, rest Jones until the last four games of the season to be ready for a hot finish ;-).

What the hell got into Joe Barry???

Three DL, rushing five, playing man coverage, not playing seven yards off when it is third and three - I didn't recognize this defense. And where was this all season?

If Barry had shown this level of aggression most of the season, his employment might not be in so much question by fans and pundits. The talent to execute this kind of defense is there, it just takes a DC with the balls to call it.

And kudos to Jordan Love. I think the Packers have their QB for the next ten years. And props to Gute for finding him and having the intestinal fortitude to draft him when it wasn't popular.

Unlike last week, a game like this earns respect. Sans mental and kicking game mistakes, a convincing win.

Dallas averaged a tad over 37 at home and the competition was EZ Peezy.

Similar to Favre & Rodgers careers, my worst nightmare is that Love becomes HoF while team never reaches full potential under MLF. Consolation? Peace of mind knowing Love's rapid ascension makes a GB HC vacancy attractive to the top candidates. Two consecutive noteworthy defensive performances--the Barry retention meter is rising (ugh).

I feel good that media pundits are saying Rams & Bills are being hailed as most dangerous underdogs.

We’re in the playoffs! I thought that the defense carried the day. Great job stopping the Bears on the ground including keeping Fields in check.

Love was sharp and Jones had another great game. OL was solid again.

We left 6 points on the field in the first half but it didn’t matter thanks to the defense, Love, Jones and the OL.

On to the playoffs. Go Pack Go!

Could this be the Winter of Love? OL did great, but Love stands in there quite unflappable. Regarding some of the offensive miscues, it was the best kind of painful learning experience, one that ended in a win.
Sacks make the defense look fairly decent. They really brought it today.

I prefer having all our players injury free. From there, coaches utilizing them well would be good. Earlier in the season, 58 played better with 59 than he did with 7. I don't know if that's still the case? 7 does evil things to opponents when given the chance :)

A Tale of Two Seasons in a Season

This Love connection to the young WRs is looking like it could be very dangerous.
The Defense seems to have sent Barry a message about the scheme, and he is listening.
I have to admit it, Love seems incredibly unflappable.
Playoff football, who really thought it's possible?
I'm already looking to next season's growth.
I feel like Scrooge on Xmas morning, and like him, I can't stand on my head in excitement, but I AM.

I am genuinely happy for you to finally give in to a sense of excitement.
Just remember, it's okay if they fail and you feel let down- keep in mind it doesn't mean you were wrong to feel excitement. It just means the other guys get paid to play, too.

I wonder, though- does this mean that the Packers-Cowboys game will command more real estate on your TV/Monitor next week? :)

Had family obligations and couldn't watch much of the game, but was impressed with the fact that the Bears only had 9 points (3 field goals). Props to Coaches MLF and JB (I have not been a big fan of either, but they got the job done today). Congrats to them and our up & coming team!

The biggest issue is once he's on the field, JL10 needs to adjust to him. If Bo Melton fills his role while #9 is out that's (almost) not a problem.

As much as I'd love to see our speed guys (Melton Watson Reed) get all the snaps, that'd be poor strategy. Need some more durable players in the mix.

I'd love to see #88 85 33 28 and a 9 when he's at 100% and HOT all on the field at the same time! Everybody can block, everybody can rush, everybody can catch. Add solid O line play and that's a team that's hard to beat :)

This win is such a great feeling and I felt the score made it appear much closer than how well the Packers dominated.
As for the playoffs, I feel like I can relax and watch next week’s game with no anxiety; the Packers
have already surpassed all my expectations.

Glad to see that they eventually dialed back the zone coverage. Passing off the coverage assignment for DJ More to a LB (Walker) is a disaster.

Better up-front pressure and (mostly) better discipline by the D front.

2 good interchangeable TE's are becoming fun to watch.

Bo Melton rocking the #80 jersey is absolutely channeling Donald Driver now. #keeper.

Owens now has 2 fair trophy QB bell ringers. If they want to run and eke out that extra yard, then be prepared to pay the piper. Don't change, Jon (BTW good game and quite the improvement on the season).

It did seem Owens was already in the air before the slide by Fields, so no penalty was the right decision by the referees (and good for them!).
The major impact to Fields was not from Owens, but from Fields banging his head on the ground.

They were close calls, but I didn't necessarily think they were bad calls. Packers had some bad luck, as the close calls all went against them, with the exception of Owens not getting a flag for hitting Justin Fields when he slid. (I think that was the right call, but it was pretty darn close.) I don't know if CBS ever showed another replay of that Chicago catch that LaFleur challenged. It sure looked like an incompletion on the one replay they showed.

It would be interesting to see the questionable Bears catch that was unsuccessfully challenged juxtaposed with the questionable drop by Melton in the endzone that was unsuccessfully challenged.
Both were tantalizingly close either way.
Maybe it was a matter of the officials going with the call on the field.

Great victory. Gut reaction:
- We have our QB for the next 10+ years.
- The offense could not be stopped. They could have scored on every possession.
- Jones was extremely good tonight. Credit the OL for a big assist.
- Reed is extremely talented and dangerous.
- Wicks along with Kraft ALWAYS fall forward.
- The Bears never stopped the offense. Only our own mistakes.
- Where did this defense come from. Very good game. The announcer noted a lot of man to man.

Oh what a difference a year makes.

A few drops and mistakes by receivers today that kept the game close. Love just kept slinging it and played a great game. I doubt our former qb would have. Even his fumble was due to the receivers not adjusting to the audible and making him run. The future is looking good! Now let’s shock the world and beat Dallas!

A few takeaways.

This game wasn't as close as the final score. The offense had two infuriating empty possessions in the first half and thoughout the game was just never able to stick in the dagger.

Jordan Love keeps getting better and better!! I went back and forth all season but am now 100% convinced he is a major talent. Who knows where is ceiling is? Packer fans can even dream about our third HOF quarterback. (Okay, that's a reach... but I used the word "dream.")

When healthy, Aaron Jones is a game changer. The Packers function so much better when he's running for 5 or more yards a pop!

I love our young group of receivers, top to bottom. Imagine what this team could do with a healthy Watson. Hope Doubs is okay.

Our defense has played great two weeks in a row. That's a mixed blessing. I'm glad it's contributed to two wins, but I don't want it to cloud the necessity to dump Barry after this season.

While I have no illusions that our chances in the playoffs are minimal at best, I will say that the Packers are a "hot" team going into the playoffs and a team that no one particularly wants to play. 2010 anyone?

Yes, many players stepped up big in this game. The future looks bright! Before the game, I said I'd love to see Van Ness and Brooks both get a sack! Bingo!!

I am beside myself on the talent we have in the WRs and TEs. I liked and wanted both Wicks and Tucker before the draft and they have not disappointed. Both are studs and have become favorite players along with so many others. Regardless of how the playoffs play out this has been a highly successful season. Crossing my fingers that the Packers can make some noise in the playoffs, and then looking forward to the draft where Gutey can once again continue to work his magic.

I am happy, as a fan, as a shareholder, so very happy. whole lot of ups and downs this season, but the youngest team since the 1970s has made it to the playoffs. Now, drawing Dallas , away, and against former coach McCarthy isnt exactly a prize, but it beats the hell out of how we all felt last year, same scenario, win and in, only to get gut punched and watch a pretty disinterested group muddle their way though and go out with a whimper. Be happy for tonight, weve got our Quarterback for the next decade or so, a great group of young receivers, and some great young defenders. ON TO DALLAS!! GO PACK GO!!

Even though the final score wasn't gaudy, it felt like we had Fields and the Bears under control the whole time. The run defense was excellent, there was plenty of pressure on Fields, and the secondary did its job.

Love: To borrow from Dickie V., we have ourselves a PTPer. Some of the throws he made were simply outstanding...and 27/32 overall, with a couple of those incompletions were the result of receivers not completing the catch while hitting the turf.

With the exception of the aforementioned incompletions, the WRs were also great; with route-running and finding openings to create some great YAC opportunities, and throw in some nice blocking as well.

Aaron Jones and the O-line just shredded the Bears' defense on the first and second levels.

I was a little bit worried that those first half miscues (missed FG and shooting ourselves in the foot at the end of the first half) might come back to bite us, but thankfully not.

I couldn't be happier. I thought this team was capable of maybe winning 10 games (although for mostly the wrong reasons), but winning 9 and making the playoffs will do just fine. We're a winner with the youngest team in the league, and that's no small accomplishment.

The only wounds today were self inflicted. The Packers still own the Bears and I haven't been this happy for a Packer team to make the playoffs in a long time (2021 offseason, 2022 season to now seems like forever). Did you see the hits the Packers were putting on the Bears? We sent more of there's limping home which was a pleasant and long-overdue surprise. Love me some Aaron Jones, this young team is exciting and easy to root for (all of them). Whatever happens next weekend is just a 2nd cherry on the top.

It would be really good if the Bills lose next week so that 3rd round pick for Razooool is better, but heck, we have 5th, 6th and 7th round players contributing so who needs high picks. Hasn't made the Bears a great team.

Rasul has been a turnover machine, I'm actually happy for him to be on a team that's a contender. If course, Josh Allen has also been a turnover machine so that limits their chances.

What I think most Packer fans are thinking right now:

Love earned a contract
MLF still makes me nervous as a head coach but he's certainly earned another year or two.
The best group of young receivers in the league. No Watson and Doubs, no problem.
OL was excellent and has a bright future, but draft a center.
D has talent that needs direction.
Top-shelf safety would improve the D greatly.

My views that many may not agree with:

Even if we win the SB I don't want Barry back
MLF might have screwed this up if Dillon was eligible by underusing Jones as he has for years.
Blitz the hell out of Dallas and keep Dillon out another week and I'm saying there's a chance.

Yeah, I noticed that. Every single carry was by Aaron Jones. What a great thing that was. And most of the carries were between the tackles, which had to be big reason the Bears couldn't get any pass rush. Montez who?

Maybe, just maybe, the reason Jones is still balling out at the ancient RB age of 29 is due to not being overloaded year after year.

Agreed on the need for a center and safety. Oh what might have been if we'd had Nick Collins all these years.

You might be right on all counts, Jones shared carries with Williams early and then the past few years with Dillon. Williams scored his 1st TD of the season today, last year he led the league.
And Nick Collins, what a monumental loss to the Packers, as good as (or can I say maybe better than) LeRoy Butler, maybe!

#1 The refs did everythinbg possible to help the Bears and hurt the Pack (every close call). End of the 1st half was a mistake. Lombardi said "never come away without points" in the red zone. That's on MLF.

For all GB fans that put Gutes and Jordan Love down, feast on a good helping of crow tonight!

For me, my main GB boogeyman is still Barry. But face it - he didn't suck tonight. We stopped Moore, contained Fields and didn't play our safeties in another time zone (well, maybe a couple of times). But Barry shows up for the big games at least. Can't believe I'm complimenting him...?

My only other recalculation comes with A Jones. 3 weeks ago, he was too old, too injured and too expensive. Now, he's only too expensive. We are a different team with him. We need to find a way to keep him for awhile longer! GPG

It was great to see such a high energy effort. The won the trenches with both lines and the receiving corps is already one of the best in football.
If they play like this ( minus the mistakes) it should be a great game in Dallas.

They really do have a chance! All season I've been saying I want to see 100% effort out of every player, on every down, all season long. That becomes a habit, and a culture of winning. Very obviously we have not seen that, but it's been MUCH closer to that goal than it was last season. Did they achieve that in this game?

If they do that it's one variable coaches just don't have to worry about. I expect they'll work their asses off developing an effective scheme. I'm not sure how Barry ball might match up against Dak? As long as he and MLF don't coach scared, this might be a really good game ...

One of the most impressive things was how HARD all of the Packers ran the ball. Not just Aaron Jones, but all of the wide receivers too. I especially loved the way Dontayvion Wicks fought his way into the end zone on his second TD. The defense was pretty intense too, but they were never out of control. That really speaks well of the coaching staff and team leaders and of course the entire team.

Good game made even better by the right team winning. The Packers dominated in the trenches and that was that.

They need to clean up some stuff on special teams. Unfortunately, it isn’t just the kicker. At least they were able to avoid penalties.

This game should've been far more lopsided than it was, if not for a) the Packers self inflicted wounds (missed FG, the screw up before the half, and then some bizarre calls and no-calls by the refs).

Jordan Love is the man. There is no more debate. We have our QB of the future. I say extend him before the price goes up even more.

I love the fact that the front office picked a lane and then went all-in on it. We got rid of guys like Cobb, Lazard, Lewis, Tonyan, etc. and went with the youth movement by doubling down and drafting a ton of WRs, TEs and O-linemen the past few years.

I love this team! The Bears still suck! GO PACK GO!!!

I will gladly put up with Joe Barry however far we go in the playoffs, but no longer than that. He has been a piss poor DC for too long and if for no other reason the players deserve a competent DC. We do too. Whenever we are done this year, Barry needs to go and lets hire the guy from the Panthers or Rivera. The sky would be the limit then. Great offense and great defense. However I am still not sold on this kicker. Bring in competion for him next summer. And no wasted draft pick again either. GO PACK GO-MAKE JERRY JONES CRY NEXT WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The OL played great. JL played like a top notch QB. A.Jones ran hard and was elusive. Our young WR group played well. Wicks/ Melton/ Reed and Kraft did well. Surprised Watson did not play. Musgrave had 1 catch. The Defense put a lot of pressure on the QB and locked up their WR's a bunch. We left a lot of points off the board. Should have been 27-6 score. Youth learned a lot about time management mistakes. Learn and move onto Cowboys. Dallas has 2 good WR's...we have 5 and 2-TE's. It is a winnable game if everyone does their part. GPG.

We have 8 GREAT WRs! Reed Watson Wicks & Doubs probably won't be 100%. Melton Heath and DuBose may need to carry the G. Factor in 85 88 and 33 and this is still an offensive juggernaut if the O line plays well.

I dont know if this was Barry's vindication game or not - but from what I saw - we definitely do NOT need to spend high draft picks on receivers or tight ends - we have our guys and then some. What we need however is some faster tougher interior linebackers and back end guys. Overall - all our backups came up big and not sure if the regulars would have done much better. Totally happy that we defensively came up big - and dont know whether it was our defense or that we were playing 2 sub .500 teams - but we play the teams in front of us. And after all it was Da Bears. Now to go and face MM in Dallas - yahoo. And a repeat of what we have done to Dallas before is totally possible.

* Jordan Love ......is .......HIM!!! A great kid who's only about FOOTBALL and winning. Such a refreshing and welcome change from the previous 2 seasons.
HE is playing at an ELITE level.

Don't know where I'm more surprised the offensive play or the defensive play. I think one thing is sure, Barry aint going anywhere having gotten to the playoffs. Plus with Jairre being a stiff and Stokes a no show, that two weapons Barry didnt have either.

Anyways I think many of us are shocked and happily surprised at how Love has played. Mid season he was on the oh myt god were in trouble mode to a guy who is a solid future for the packers going forward that's for sure.
I honestly think he is playing better then he did in college. No one would have guessed that. We got a winner going forward.

I have been one of the many that said that Love can't throw a football, cannot read a defense, etc. And I said it often. Frustration? Not used to incapable Packer QB's? I don't know. But I was wromg. I was so wrong. With the youth Love has to deal with, the composure Love displayed, the future the team is projecting, I now believe that Packer fans will have many enjoyable years rooting for this team. This was a team that NFL columnists said would win 4 or 5 games. Playoffs? PLAYOFFS? Well guess what...Oh, and fire Joe Barry.

There are still valid critiques of JL10, but now they're in the realm of refinements he can improve on. The early season disasters were mostly poor O line play, but WRs running wrong routes and outright dropping passes hurt too.

Consistency on long throws comes down to his footwork. He's learned bad habits playing behind a leaky O line. Hopefully he fixes that in the off-season, and also hopefully the O line is improved via the draft and honest evaluation instead of favoritism.

JL hasn't missed easy layups lately, but I don't know if that's because he hasn't had to try any? He really needs to work on those. Tucker Kraft is the obvious checkdown and YAC machine. If broken plays consistently result in gains of 5-15 yards, that wins games. Luke Musgrave is basically a big bodied WR, and has a huge catch radius.

JL has targets with a huge difference in speed, it's hard to hit everybody in stride. 3 guys at 4.3x, 3 at 4.6x, and 2 each at 4.4x and 4.5x. Plus #33 at 4.56. And each runs routes differently. That is a LOT to keep track of!

Sure is nice to see what a Matt LaFleur called offense looks like. Jordan Love plays within the system and makes the checks as needed. Congratulations to the Packers, especially to coach LaFleur and the offensive coaches for bringing this young team along. A bunch of nobody's (playing for the oft injured regulars) in the defensive backfield played pretty well also.

It's rare that I talk about poor officiating after a game, but there were some horribly questionable calls against the Packers interests in this game. I will say that after much scrutiny, I do think they got the the no-catch call in the endzone correct- the ball was not secured until after the feet touched down out of bounds.

all that being said.. I feel this game could have easily been a 28-3 affair (or so) had the calls been there.

Hope these young men enjoy this trip and put their heads in the right space for this week of preparation before taking the flight to Jerry World. They have the talent to compete with anyone in the league if they can put it all together. That's the question at hand. Will the preparation be adequate, and will it translate to the field? We're gonna find out. GO PACK GO.

OPPY i agree on the refs. It sure looked like the ball touched the ground before Moore secured it. I was pissed NBC didn't show any more replays of the drop. Refs missed that one even with the replay. They got the call right on Melton though, the ball touched the ground and he was out of bounds too. All of our WRs need to work on hand strength so the ball can't be stripped. Love made some tremendous throws that could have resulted in at least 2 more TDs. His accuracy was very much like AR used to be.

Barry earned the playoff run, just because we don't want to F$ck with momentum, but still can't be retained after the season. He is a weak link and he is holding the defense and the team back. The players deserve a better coach.

We will need a kicker competition this summer. Too many misses and the short kickoffs are dangerous and could cost us games in the future. A name for UFDA is Harold Mevis-Missouri, accurate and long. 63 yrd FG.
Kickoffs thru the end zone.

Lastly, Congrats to all the Packers and fans. What a ride so far. Keep it going. I will trade a later draft pick for a couple of playoff wins and young players have no fear. They won't care if they are favored or not in Dallas. The pressure is all on the Cowboys as we are playing with house money now. GO PACK GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
