Jordan Love out vs Jets along with 31 other Packers
Kurt Benkert will start the team's second preseason game.

Last week Matt LaFleur sat 30 veterans for his team's first preseason game.
This week he'll sit 32.
Most frontline starters along with most veterans will be given the day off along with second year quarterback Jordan Love, who suffered a shoulder injury last week against the Houston Texans and did not participate in joint practices with the Jets this week in Green Bay.
The players who won't dress for today's game are below:

yawwwwwn. I'll watch the recap. I guess. Or just read about it. If any of these guys are central pieces in teh 21 season, we're screwed anyways.

WR is the Rodgers plus Bagelton, Thompkins, Taylor and Hazelton show if I read it right. I see why we signed Hazelton. I think that’s likely the final nail for EQ.

Just a suggestion it might be easier to just write someone who is expected to make the team and…wait for it…IS playing!
I get why they don’t but pre season games have always been sketchy but they are now making this a joke. Why bother?
Next week in Buffalo on that crappy turf, they probably sitting more guys than this. If it’s possible they probably will rest guys who MIGHT make the practice squad. 😂

The Packers let the first punt land at the three. It took a backwards bounce and was downed at the 11. We did not risk a turnover, penalty, or injury. The punt return unit did a good job on this play.

Why were they so cautious with love if shoulder came back clean? Even if he only got 1 days practice, would have been a little manufactured adversity to see how he overcame it

I say they are not playing Love because of what he isnt doing in practice. Maybe he is so god awful they dont want everyone else to know that especially other teams.
Seems like were always trying to protect the image of the GM by keeping higher draft picks so as to not make Gutt or Tedd look bad.
A 21 yard punt? That guy should be shown the door.

The only thing I know about Heflin, and I mean the only thing, is that he's seemingly in on or near every play within 15 yards of the LOS.

I'm still in shock that there's packers fans trying to create a QB#2 controversy with Kurt Benkert after watching these first two preseason games. He's got a nice arm, and a bunch of warts... the kind of warts that prevent you from being a regular season starting QB until you solve them. Can't be botching snaps, falling over due to poor footwork from under center, or making really ill-advised "wtf" throws to nobody.
I like him, I think he has talent... he's in his 4th year as a pro... he's still a project QB.
You can't roll out a QB with those issues onto the field unless your back is against the wall.

Didn’t Boyle beat out Jordan Love for the QB2 spot? It may be happening again. Especially if Love spends any more time in the training room.

Tim Boyle had 2 years in the system, 2 training camps, 2 preseasons.
Jordan Love was a rookie who obviously had no experience in the system, had no training camp, no preseason (covid), never took a live snap.
I'm not sure what drives the whole "anyone but Jordan Love" thing. I have my suspicions.

yeah, and the packers and chiefs may be interested in trading jace sternberger for travis kelce. it may also be happening. and i may get a pet miniature horse to live in my basement because my cats need a friend of another species. that may be happening as well.
