Jordy Nelson to visit Seattle Seahawks

Former Packers wide receiver and fan favorite Jordy Nelson wil visit with the Seattle Seahawks after being released by the Oakland Raiders last week.

Nelson started the 2018 slow but he came on strong late, catching 38 passes for 386 yards in the final five games

Seattle needs another good set of hands at WR. Jordy has lost a step, the YAC is way down, but he still manages to get open. All the best luck in the world to him.

This is truly sad. Jordy deserves better than to be wandering around the NFL looking for work. Probably the 2nd best receiver in Packers history behind Don Hutson and this is how it ends? Effing Seattle? I hope the Packers step in and end this madness. I'd take Jordy for one more year over Geronimo any day of the week. Sign him for a similar deal as Geronimo and have him end his career here where it all started with dignity and love from the millions of fans that knew and appreciated him.

Thanks stockholder. I also admire your work here. I thought your comments on Lewis yesterday were spot on. I think I was the only guy here that agreed with you.

You must be off your meds again Dash. Are you sure Jordy is the best receiver behind Hutson? Does the name James Lofton ring a bell? Or how about Sterling Sharpe, or Donald Driver? I would place Jordy in the top 8 receivers depending on the era. I never saw a better receiver in a Pakers uniform than Sterling Sharpe.

For a guy who claims to be the 2nd most intelligent person on CHTV, you sure do an excellent job of disguising yourself as an idiot.

Best of luck to Jordy! I wish the Pack could have offered more and jordy would have lowered his demands.

Aw Sterling Sharpe... Had he stayed healthy and played even close to the number of years as Rice, Owens, or Chris Carter I can only imagine the numbers he'd have put up. Just look at his final 3 years, the years he played under Holmgren, and at a time when football still resembled football... Unbelievable!

James Lofton … Could you even IMAGINE the numbers he'd had put up in "Todays NFL?

As much as I loved Jordy Nelson for the player and the man he was, on a football field he wasn't Sterling Sharpe or James Lofton.

I agree he was great. Second in receiving TDs ,third in receptions, and fifth in yds. Packers fans know that he had some great games for us. He had a solid 2018 season. I would have loved to have him back, but now that we signed Allison that would not be feasible. It would hamper the development of the young receivers.

Adam Schefter had Oakland listed as one of the teams interested in resigning JN, I’m guessing for a lesser amount. If he didn’t want to pop around, he could resign and stay with the Raiders. If I’m not mistaken, GB offered him a contract to stay but he rejected it. He chose to take his services elsewhere. He made a business decision. The Packers didn’t do the sentimental thing and neither did he.
Dash, you just intimated that AR renegotiate his contract (Aaron Nagler’s article) so that BB could have been signed, why wasn’t there a call last year for JN to take a pay cut in order to stay with the Pack?

Geronimo on the up swing and Jordy. If we could get both might be nice.

2nd best? Sharpe, Lofton, Jennings

What is it with these personal attacks White Tornado. I am well aware of those receivers. I stand by my statements. Deal with it. Until you surpass legends like Old School, John T. Kirk, Dash Riprock and hall of famer Taryn, you have no business calling anyone names.

Just who is it that decides the CHTV pecking order or hall of fame? If all it takes is to post utter nonsense to be the cream of the crop I'll happily decline my membership.

Didnt you invite personal attacks when you came on here proclaiming yourself along with Old School the smartest people here. Then come here and say Boyle is the next GREAT Packers QB because you have "the gift' of being able to spot great QB's.

When you add up things you say on here it sounds more like brainless ramblings of an idiot than someone with real intelligence.

We all loved Jordy, It was a pleasure watching him develop into a great player. However, I dont believe the HOF is going to be calling him anytime soon.

Lofton is in the HOF and Sharpe would have been a lock for Canton had his career not have been ended by a neck injury.

Please just stop. You're not getting in the exclusive club. You don't have the "it" factor and you don't stand out. The only thing that stands out is the very thing that will prevent you from ever becoming an exclusive member, your name. Do you really believe any club is going to let a guy in named "White Tornado"? Think about it. Hello?

I must have been absent the day we all voted on who gets to join the exclusive club. There’s a term for someone who claims to be a genius and better than others, perhaps an egotist with delusions of grandeur?

I guess the "exclusive club" includes those of us that are personally attacked by Rash here. Considering the source, I'd say it's something of a badge of honor.

Best of luck to Jordy, though there is a reason he was let go in the first place. I'd rather field players with upside than with players on the decline. I would consider bringing him back to teach the other receivers how to come back to the quarterback when he is scrambling.

Why do people think it's on the vets to coach? There's only 53 spots on the roster. You can have as many or as few coaches as you want. Jordy shouldn't be brought back to simply instruct the young receivers. If he's brought back it should be to play a slot receiver role with the added bonus of helping the young receivers. I see ESB/Kumero in the slot in 2019 doesn't leave room for Jordy regardless of price.

Hopefully with MLF we won't have Rodgers constantly scrambling to extend plays. That's what led to 2 broken collarbones. Getting WRs open faster and getting the ball out of Rodger's hands faster is what we need. Rodgers to Jordy was the back shoulder throw that at its peak in 2014 was unstoppable!

I agree Spader. That is called "loser think" and consider the source who said it. I won't say his full name since he's in disguise again but it starts with and L and ends with an e.

I think it's such a slap in the face to any assistant coach. You get hired by the Packers to coach the wide receivers or tight ends then fans like Larry insult them by claiming some older player is being brought back to "coach up the young ones". Not only is it an insult to the assistant coaches it's also an insult to the older player. I wish people would quit saying stuff like that.

Perhaps leading by example? There is more than one way to teach. I don’t believe I mentioned coaching anywhere in the post. If I was a player on the same team as someone as successful as Jordy I would try to emulate his techniques in order to become more successful. That is not loser thinking, loser thinking is projecting your own opinion into someone else’s thoughts.

But you are not a player Lare. You are some moron that comes on here with the same name and picture as I have to get attention because you hate my success. Try emulating Jesus Christ and do some good. You are pathetic Lare, absolutely pathetic. I wish Jersey Al would ban your ass for doing what you are doing. Maybe some day. First Rash and now he's doubling down on Larry Pennel.

Jersey Al? you see this? More personal attacks on me calling me Rash Dipwad than changing/editing it to something else playing the victim card. You told me and everyone else to stop the personal attacks/name calling yet he continues. Please check into the Larry Pennel IP. If it's Lares please ban him. No need for people to be doing this stuff to me or anyone else. I get harrassed enough here for supporting Ted Thompson I don't need extra crap like this from people like Lare.

Wow Lare, three edits of your post since you originally made it. That's typical behavior of a guy who is trying to cover something up and fearful of getting caught. You mess with the bull Lare and you'll get the horns. Jersey Al is the bull and I have trust in him. You were wise to erase/edit all those personal attacks of me quickly.

Dash, why do you complain about others attacking you and now here you are calling me names even though I’ve never said anything negative about you? That is hypocrisy to the highest level. Perhaps you should follow your own advice and try leading a Christian lifestyle. I doubt our lord and savior went around calling people morons. Let’s try to keep the conversations centered around the greatest NFL team, the Green Bay Packers.

The Rodgers / Jordy connection was a joy to watch and one that added a lot of depth to the team. (and excitement to us, the fans!)

There was mutual respect on both sides.

Bring Jordy back.
