We have a pass rush. It just isnt very good. Ya they did a nice job on the mighty titans and will levis. Big deal.
The Vike's pass rush is sophisticated and uses lots of stunts and fake positioning so you dont know for sure how to block. Its something that had to be practiced, practiced alot. Throw in they brought pass rushers in with noted experience to bolster their efforts and those two guys are wreeking havoc.
I still say the Packers practive soft and dont more theory then actual physical contact. Its one theme, noting fancy.
Gary makes one sack and the packer faithful want to elevate him to a god.
His pre draft knock that Gutt did not listen to, ge lacked upper arm strength and couldnt bet around or bull rush the better O linemen. I notice he seem to miss key games against the better college teams he faced. Missing in action was a good ploy for him to keep his draft status high.
Smith aint a young chicken anymore, and many of our guys are in the same boat. It is what it is. You want great pass rushers, they are in the early part of the first round and dont come cheap.

So wo are you blaming? The Packers players or scheme?
The Vikings are in year two of Brian Flores scheme. The Packers are entering week 5. As much as it PAINS me to say, Brian Flores is one of the BEST defensive minds in the game today. The jury is out on Hafley still.
Something tells me if the Packers had Flores and not their SECOND choice at DC, the NFL would be raving about the Packers defense. But lets do THIS, lets see how this all plays out for the season.
YOUR Vikes will fade, they ALWAYS DO. My question will always be WHEN will you finally admit you're a "Vikes" fan?

I’m curious, how much did Minnesota play their starters in the preseason. It seems to me that September has become the new preseason for many teams. You can’t hide from injuries. Love got his leg twisted 59 minutes into the season.
I’d be in favor of playing the starters in a quarter each game. Just for the reps and cohesiveness.

"While the Packers have pressured opposing quarterbacks 49 times (sixth most in the NFL through Week 4, according to ESPN Research), they're not necessarily moving those signal-callers off the spot or speeding up their release. Passers have averaged 2.71 seconds inside the pocket, the most in the league, and they're averaging 3.04 seconds before throwing, second most in the league. Green Bay's pass rush win rate of 27.3% is the lowest in the league." -- Rob Demovsky, ESPN
