Limited Edition Packers Wines Celebrate 100 Seasons

The Packers and Mano’s Wine have partnered to create a line of limited edition, handcrafted wines, aged for 15 months in a combination of French and American Oak barrels to commemorate the team’s 100th season in 2018 and their culminating 100th birthday.

I was lucky enough to be sent a few sample bottles (this gig has a few perks) and my wife and I gave one a try. Billed as a Cabernet Sauvignon Blend, we found it to be a very easy-drinking wine, medium bodied with soft tannins. My guess is there is likely a good amount of Merlot in the blend, but I can't confirm that. It's a wine most of the general wine-drinking population will like.

But that's if you even DRINK the wine. It's really more of a memorabilia piece, and I'm guessing it's more valuable unopened. Anyway, here's some more information from the company.

About Mano's Wines:

Mano’s was founded in 1982, and specializes in deep etched and hand-painted bottles of wine. Mano’s started as a corporate gift company and quickly merged into the unique wine company that designs bottles of wine for numerous institutions including MLB, NHL, NFL, MLS, collegiate institutions and more.   As an urban winery, Mano’s features an esteemed collection of winemakers who have been carefully selected from the best vineyards from around the world. Everything is shipped to Mano’s national headquarters, where we blend, age, finish, and handcraft each bottle. This process allows us to carefully select the best climate and growing conditions, ensuring the highest quality wines year after year.   The wines can be purchased online at www.ManosWine.com and coming soon to local wine retailers in the Green Bay area.

Here's my own photo of the wines I received with a background of a special Packers drawing I received for a future promotion from Art of Words.
