Marquez Valdes-Scantling designated to return from injured reserve

The veteran wide receiver has been out since suffering a hamstring injury in the team's Week Three win over the 49ers.

The Packers have been patient with Marquez Valdes-Scantling's hamstring injury but it seems the time has come for his return to the lineup.

After being seen at practice earlier today, the league transaction wire indicates that the veteran wide receiver has been designated to return from injured reserve.

For the season, Valdes-Scantling has six catches for 76 yards and a touchdown in three games.

He has 103 career receptions for 1,799 yards and 11 TDs in 51 games.

MVS never catches that many passes, but his deep speed with that size makes him a nightmare for defenses who want to creep up closer to the line of scrimmage.

It's an important time for him as he becomes a FA at the end of this year. Since he'll be 28 in 2022, it will be his last chance for a good contract.

It will ceertainly be nice to get MVS, Lazard and Adams back..............a full WR room again. Now if only we can leverage a decent TE before the Tuesday deadline, to help for the rest of the season.

Allen Lazard is cleared (activated from Covid-19 list) to practice with team, so only one WR is under the question!
