Matching the Packers needs with 2024 NFL Draft sweet spots

The Green Bay Packers have 11 picks in the 2024 NFL Draft and plenty of areas they could look to improve the roster, but where are the sweet spots to attack each position? Aaron chats with CHTV contributor Mark Oldacres to find the answers.

It would be really disappointing if the Packers used a premium 2nd round pick on an Edge who will not play 15% of the snaps. The next good Edge is already on the roster. Lets see what Brenton Cox has to offer.

No to early picks @ position we are strong at already. Especially when we have bigger ACTUAL needs like LB & S that fall perfectly @ picks #41 and #58. After GBs surprising inactivity in the FA LB market, we really should not pass on LB @ #41. All 3 of the TOP LBs will be available still.

Even though GB has 11 picks this year, 5 of them are at 169 or later. Something that would blow this draft wide open for GB would be to pick up 2 extra picks in the 4th or 5th rounds. Easily attainable if we move back from #25 and #91.

6th & 7th round picks are almost useless to trade up in the draft. Where they hold value is just taking extra swings @ positions of need or someone good who has fallen, Rasheed Walker comes to mind. Or to make a trade for a veteran who could upgrade our team. Like a 7th rounder for Jaguars LB Chad Mumma, a talented 2022 LB who hasn't become a starter yet.

LOUD NOISES! LOUD NOISES! I can yell too. Calm down man. I have an opinion and you can have one too. If you disagree just post it. Or just keep downvoting everyone when you don't agree with them. That sounds like your style.

I am not disappointed with the Packers front office. I like Gutey, he has done a tremendous job bringing talent to Green Bay. In the draft and free agency. Unlike a lot of posters here, I think Coach Matt LaFleur is a hell of a coach and I hope he is with GB a long time.

20 downvotes in only 13 posts is really impressive. That describes a poster who gets kicked off of sites pretty often. Here's some free advice Crystalblue1, if you don't like other people's posts, maybe you shouldn't be reading them. It seems to raise your blood pressure, internet tough guy.

Most people here like MLFs offense but were questioning his head coaching and were looking forward to his first season with Love to see what happened.

The more he imposed himself on the other units later in the season, the more he started to prove himself. I think he needed it as much as anything to become a well-rounded head coach.
