I remember when the demand to see Starks was with a ticket out of Green Bay....now that he survived his pitfalls and showed his ability, they don't use him,,,,smh.

Eddie Lacy is starting to worry me. He's been doing his best Trent Richardson impression lately. Eddie - just plant and go. Stop doing a One Direction-esque dance number in the backfield and just go. Defenders don't want to be hit by you.

The best way to reinforce this is by letting him watch someone else do it for a few series.

I'm a big Eddie fan, but along with looking slow and indecisive, he seems to be getting pushed backwards a great deal more than last year. If anything, he should be moving the pile forward. Then again, its still early in the season.

I would have liked to see Starks get some touches last game.

Finally, did MM forget about the screen pass. AR may have audibled out of them, but regardless, they seem have lost favor with the head coach.

"Finally, did MM forget about the screen pass."

Brandon Jackson took the screen pass with him when he left.

Why does Starks average 2 more yards per carry running behind the same offensive line?

It just feels like to me they are trying to not put many miles on Starks and Harris early in the season. It feels like to me that they are wanting to keep them fresh for the end of the year when we will want 3 good RB's with bad weather.
I don't know if that's what their 'plan' is but it feels like that might be their plan.

I love Lacy as much as the next guy and think his struggles so far are probably 70% the o-line...but can we enroll him in the Le'veon Bell off-season weight-loss camp?

(I know it's only 15 carries, but Starks is averaging 5 ypc behind the same o-line.)

Without looking at what he is currently listed as weighing, based only on observation, he looks fatter and considerably slower. Perhaps his indecisiveness is playing into the speed perception. Doesn't seem to have any burst and is a complete liability when trying to get outside.

Last week everyone was in a panic about Rodgers' play. Now, it's Lacy. I thought he looked better late in the game. Got into secondary a bit. Early on, there were tacklers in the backfield or right on the line. I think that as the passing game progresses, Lacy will find the single cut lanes which were available last year. Just not much daylight yet.

I wasn't in a panic about Rodgers at all, for what it's worth (he obviously has a much longer track record to fall back on). And I do think Lacy will get it going, but his struggles are now going on 4 games. We're not far from "time to worry."

To be clear, I am not in "panic mode" regarding Eddie Lacy and his poor performance so far the year. However, I'm also not of the mind-sight that his early season struggles are 100% on the offensive line. His vision seems off. He is indecisive and overall, I feel as thought he's leaving a good junk of yardage on the field.

100% agree. So many replays show a hole or slight lane open and then 27 bounces it outside...

Yes I'm glad we won the game, but overall I'm concerned by this team. I believe we are losing the battles in the trenches, and while the O-line gave Arod time to pass, any time we play a complete team, our passing game alone won't save us.

I'm concerned that, with McCarthy calling plays, this team's ceiling is winning the division every year. Nice, but not enough.

Quit whining . You hate TT its clear. All the Packers have done is won since he's been here. If he were wrong as often as you, he'd have fired a long time ago. you suck.

One more thing cowpie, you Rodgers basher, he set an NFL record. 1st QB to 25k yards with the fewest attempts.

There is a lack of power in the middle. Speed size, strength, don't know but the Vikes running game is far superior to the Bears so someone/s has to step up.
I too wonder if we just lack that talent level?

A J Hawk sucks. Too slow. Makes a lot o f tackles.....downfield. cannot shed blocks. Gives up seam route always. Should not be starting. Packers will always be weak in the middle as long as Hawk is there.

Agreed, but everyone else here loves him, so you may as well try to find some good here. I've been his biggest critic for 3 years, everyone here knows that, including Stroh. I must say, he had a decent game against Chicago, & has been playing better. Not Great, just better.

Here's a question: I've been reading posts about why we're not using Starks more? I tend to agree. He's a damn good North & South runner. Is he Hurt??

Also, Who is our Running Backs Coach?? Edgar Bennett, who was a pretty damn good running back, isn't he our Receivers Coach?? Maybe I'm getting too old for this, but shouldn't he be the running backs coach??, or don't we have one??

Last I looked the line was GB -9 1/2 for Thursday. I would think GB will win, whether they Cover or not, Who Knows?? LV didn't make this one easy. LVT

AJ Hawk is a huge part of why the middle of our defense is getting the absolute shit kicked out of it. He's a middle linebacker, the guy in a 3-4 defense who is supposed to be plugging holes and making tackles near the line of scrimmage, not 14 yards down field.

And THE position that is always a position of strength and intimidatuon. Its not personal with Hawk, just realism.

And yet Hawk played every snap, like usual. Every negative mentioned here is correct. He is a below average starting ILB. He is at his worst when GB plays a ton of nickel like they did against the Bears, since there is no one to keep blockers off of him. I think our best lineup is Lattimore replacing B. Jones and a healthy Jones replacing Hawk. I have wondered, if Peppers, Neal, Perry and Elliott step up at OLB, whether moving CMIII to Hawk's position wouldn't be better for the team, even if CMIII gets fewer stats. Right now, don't see anyone stepping up enough so that the drop off from CMIII to Perry or Neal wouldn't be precipitous. I am disappointed that Barrington can't find the field.

I have had the same thougjts as well.,, always hoping he would prove us wrong. But for the last 3 years it is just too painful to watch. He is. physically overmatched by just about anyone Then the total lack of quickness, reaction speed of any kind But they will never not start Hawk unless he is seriously injured. Of course the most replaceable starter on the team for years running never ever is injured. Go figure
