Of course……..

The average turnover costs you four points, so three turnover = 12 points. So take those away and we’re pretty close to the NFL defensive average of 24.8 ppg.
Then, adjust for a defense being on the field for 35 minutes and we’re way under the average.

Since you lose 75% of the games where you have 3 turnovers, and 95% of the games where you score 3 points, a better question would be “what’s wrong with the offense?” But we already know where that’s gonna lead, so we’ll just bash the defense instead.

We aren't going to pretend the defense was playing any better are we? Yea the offense had a bad game but we know they will put up points and just where the top rated unit a year ago. The defense has constantly been a problem. They gave up two long drives of 15 plays on Sunday. That is just demoralizing.

The defense does just fine when they aren’t on the field all game or defending a short field after a turnover.

All four of our losses last year featured bad offense and turnovers. When the offense does their job, the defense usually holds people to 21 or less.

May be you forgot the looses against vikings and colts where the defense gave up td's on each of the opposition's position the offense played ok to good both the games but defense to be played those games and both the opposition scored more than 21 points.
Even in the games we won there are few games this defense gave us panic attacks because of our defense giving up easy td's for the opposition's comeback.
Agreed the offense stunk last week and so did our defense our dline got manhandled at line of scrimmage and the secondary looked clue less at times. After so many high draft picks and some FA signings still not much improvement.

I recognized the Packer defense, but I had no idea who I was watching on the offense.

I really imo beleive the strategy is to run the ball and keep the d off the field because they arent good.
Ya that dont work once your down 14 points and the other team has stuffed the run knowing what you are trying.
By the time they were forced to pass to get gack in it, the Saints were ready for that too and changed their defense.
In the game of strategies we lost. Their d executed ours should have been
