There are big receivers, who are 6'4" or more and 200 lbs or better.
There are average-sized receivers, who are over 6'0"at least 200
There are borderline-guys, who are close to 6' and 200'
There are midgets, who are under 6' and around 180.

Pierce is the a big receiver.
Dotson and Moore....they're more borderline/average size.

I'd like a big receiver at #22. Burks, London, Williams, Watson. Not Olave, not Dotson, Big.

LH,
You often mention London who while 6'5" and 220 lbs. he is slow. There isn't an official time on him. But he seems Slow....slow...slow! Once his speed is identified he maybe should be converted in the NFL to a TE. The Packers need speed and actually had a 6'5" WR at 215 lbs with 4.48 speed in ESB with 3 or 4 years of invaluable NFL experience. Yes, I know he had some injuries but the talent was there. I am and was completely shocked the Packers let him go to Chicago. Getsy obviously knows ESB and what he brings. I am making the prediction right here and now that barring injuries for ESB we all are going to be shocked at the success ESB has in Chicago. I am one of the few here who actually believes ESB was seriously underutilized here in GB.

We all learned right after ESB was signed by Chicago that MVS signed with Kansas City. I have often wondered if MVS had signed sooner would the Packers made a point to resign ESB? For what he signed for (don't know but cannot be that much) the Packers should have kept ESB. I also think barring injury MVS wil surprise with how well he plays this year. I just think Rodger's tends to negatively impact certain WR's if they are not his favorite.

Knock, he's so slow that he only caught 88 passes in 8 games. He's obviously fast enough to get open. Big guys maybe don't impress with their 40 times, but when they're in full stride, they're moving pretty fast. Also, the difference between a 4.35 guy and a 4.55 guy is the blink of an eye (0.2 seconds) over 40 yards in shorts. It's overrated, IMO. Particularly in a league where MOST passes are less than 15 yards downfield.

I read Walterfootball and TheHuddlereport. These guys have been doing this scouting thing for a long , long time. Both of these sites think London is a guaranteed first round selection.

He's not a TE. He's a WR who uses his mismatch size to get open and catch the ball. He'd be damn useful replacing a guy who caught 123 passes last year.

If you are talking Skyy and Dotson I think you need to also consider Kahlil Shakir, Calvin Austin, Velus Jones, and Danny Gray. I like all these WR's and not sure I prefer any over the other. The only sure 1st rounder in the group seems to be Dotson. Great hands and can throw the ball. Can really high point passes and catch one handed. If anyone hasn't watched Kahlil Shakir's youtube video's tell me anyone in the draft that has better hands than him. I rate Dotson and Shakir very similar in terms of play & catching but Shakir seems to be available late 2nd round or even 3rd round. Shakir repeatedly snagging one-handed high point extended catches. This guy is a talent as is all the rest. This is why if Gutey does not draft a WR in round 1 that fans should not freak out. There are a lot of good WR's that really seem pretty similar talent wise to one another available in rounds 2 & 3. Honestly, like all these WR's and would be happy with any of them, but IMO all of them seem to play same position with exception of Gray. Still need the big speed guy on the outside to stretch the defense. If you wanted an all around speed guy (4.32) he isn't big but Calvin Austin can take the top off defenses, as well as be quite the gadget player out of the backfield, jet sweeps, bubble passes, etc.

Nice work, Andy, and I appreciate CHTV's new Draft Guide. Downloaded it today. Going to jam on that for a bit this evening.

Would love to see the Pack pop 2 of the best they can get in R1... possibly add another R2. Depth at skill positions is a great thing to have. Might even drop another into the mix in R7...

Variety is the spice of life here. I would love to see large, med, small all of them with proven experience, routes, resumes to warrant selections, separation, YAC, HANDS and SPEED.

I believe Gutekunst & staff will do that. Could be one of our most important drafts to hit right without misses in a long time. Sounds stupid, but, circumstances appear to be out of the ordinary here. Toss in CB, S, and a couple EDGE, couple OTs, DL - the best we can. find, and we're cookin' with gas!

If we simply add 2 WRs and the right OT, EDGE, TE, we’ll be ahead 22-93. A lot of solid talents Day1 & 2.

2023 is gonna start getting ugly w/ the cap. I'm all about WR but I also see CB and S as possibles for JA and either Savage or Amos and I could see Cobb also leave and Big dog and Tonyan so TE needs to be there for a couple.
DL also w/ Lowry. OLB w/ Gary and Preston needing rotation help.

Good morning on a beautiful day here in South Texas. Just working on my second cup of coffee when I came upon this. Your last paragraph is perfect. "Simply", because I'm a fan of simplicity, add (because addition is simple) 2 WRs, an OL, an Edge and a TE......all in the top 92......

I make even simpler by using the bonus picks....which we have because we traded Adams.....for WRs, meaning we get #22 and #53. We've all gone through the various permutations of who that might/maybe/could/should be.

The guy at #22......I'd sure hope it's a big body WR. Every single simulation has a good one available at that spot. At #28, I trade down for an extra pick in the second and third rounds, usually at the expense of the Purple, and use those two picks to get offensive linemen. I usually am able to get really good offensive lineman in the first part of the 2nd and 3rd rounds. At #53, I use the bonus Adams pick for the best WR available. Then at 59, I take the Edge. Then in the third round, I'd pick the TE and the best OL remaining.

Simple. 2 WRs, 2 OL, TE, Edge. Sometimes, I do an all offense mock, where I take another offensive player instead of the Edge at #59.
