Romeo Doubs missed some catches early on in the practice, dropping 2 sideline balls. Randall Cobb also missed several catches.
I was hoping that Andy would have analyzed the Special Teams work of the Returners. IMHO Amari Rodgers shined with some great footwork and burst through the lines, but I only have the eyes of a fan. Aside from the injuries, I thought that the practice was great, but again, only from the eyes of a fan. 🏈🏈🏈

I’m concerned as much as I like Lazard, he gets no separation. AR really tried to get get him the ball but went o-for. If he’s the #1 WR and they don’t even have to double him once in a while…Im concerned 😢

I was concerned about Lazard last year, he just seemed to lose a step and like you said was covered all the time? No separation. I almost thought he looked like he put on a lot of weight or something.
He was never fleet of foot but at times he was an open guy you could count on to save the series. Last year not so much.
Just hope our so called new draft picks werent sitting where they were because they couldnt catch the ball. Size speed mean nothing if you have the dropsies.

He gets no separation, yet Rodgers had a QB rating of something like 125 or so when he threw to him. And he caught 40 passes.
Kind of like basketball, if you're 6'5" and 225 lbs then you can just box out that little 6'0" 195 lb guy and keep your body between him and the ball. It may look like there isn't a lot of separation, but the defender can't make a play on the ball when Lazard has that big body between him and the ball.

Lazard will be fine and will improve on his 8 TDs from last season. I wish they would throw some high intermediate passes to him. Plaxico Burress made a living on those type of plays, except when his gun shot too quick.

Lazard is a good player and WR and he fits well for what the Packers want him to do, but he will never be mistaken for an elite WR. If you think that is going to happen your likely to be dissapointed.
However, Romeo Doubs is a different matter. Watched him all night catching warm up passes, to special team's play, to running WR routes. Guy is the real deal! Movement, acceleration, separation it seems like he is the real deal with huge upside. Just one of those players who is so smooth he doesn't seem to work hard. Packers got maybe the steal of the draft. Going to be fun watching his development the next couple years.

Let's just do away with the family night game. Why risk injuring our players
