Love finished 6-of-16 against a defense that lined up without starting cornerbacks Jaire Alexander and Rasul Douglas.

We just lost a HOF QB. They do not come around very often.

Just tempering expectations. :)

It’s the second day of men in shorts with no opposition. No timing is typical. What was interesting to me is LaFleur calling unscripted plays predominantly, in his words, to see how ready the receivers were to adjust.

So I take nothing much from this except one thing, that they are seemingly being prepared to adjust much more, and tested to see how ready they are. That’s exciting and suggestive of an innovative potential long lacking. Use the preseason to prepare not loom good in May, and we might be better cone game one and beyond.

So ignore the stars or highlight real sand box stuff, and be excited for the change in approach and, perhaps, energy. I was always one who believed it was LaFleur’d inadequacy that held us back. It’s very early days indeed, but I detect green shoots suggesting that Rodgers perhaps was more of a problem than I credited.

Agreed. Enjoy the preseason activities when hope and optimism abound. There will be plenty of time After August to face up to reality.

I expect Love to struggle early (OTA/Pre-season). He is a young man and he is suddenly in the spot light and replacing 30 years of Franchise QB's.

I dont care about 3 years on the bench or his prior starting opportunity. The magnitude of his situation would be immeasurable. None of us can possibly comprehend.

Once he gets his legs and stops worrying about who is watching he will be fine. If he is never able to do that, well then it wasnt meant to be for him or GB.

JL10 has taken off season snaps so far, with AR12 not wanting to practice. This is the time for mistakes to happen. If they can play the regular season with the same players they practice with, it will be the first time in how long?

We got rid of a guy who USED TO BE a HOF QB because the new guy is going to be better than the 2022 version of Rodgers
