Games were great.
Refs were pretty terrible.
Video reviews make me think that games are rigged.

This year's theme is that they'll stick with the call on the field if it's close. Even if the review shows pretty clearly the call should be reversed. It's baffling.

I honestly think the officiating is pretty suspect too which is sad to see.

1. Rams back up QB is going to the ground, knee down, Adam head hunts, flag down and picked up. Think that's picked up for Brady?

2. Heineke last night gets hit already fully in his slide. Clearly given up. No flag.

3. Heineke clearly playing well. Making plays. Runs for 1st down. League theme is don't call ticky tacky holds. A super phantom, ticky tacky offensive hold called. Think it killed the drive.

4. Clear PI I think on 3rd down, Heineke pleads, no call.

In a game where the refs are clearly "letting them play" then a pretty significant phantom call is made, you just have to go hhhhmmmmmm.......

End of conspiracy rant

That fumble out of bounds called incomplete pass also was a huge call that went against Washington on their final drive. That drastically changed their play options.

I am pretty sure Brees vs. Brady was more important to the league than Brees vs. Heinicke.

I still don't understand the pick-up of the flag on the head hit on Wolford. Even if the player is considered a runner that hit by Adams gets called and possibly the player ejected.

2. Heinie dove head first and was outside the pocket. He was in essence a RB. It was a shoulder pad that hit him on the head. Totally Legal hit!!

The worst thing about the Buffalo/Indy mess-up on the fumble call was that it took 5 minutes of video review to get the answer wrong.

That actually brings up another good point and relates to that Colts fumble. I think it was coach Dungy, but even he brought it up. Why are coaches needing to call time outs for the booth to review possible game changing decisions inside of 2 minutes?

Sidenote: can't reply to comments because an advertisement that can't be closed covers the submit button at the bottom of the screen. That could be killing site traffic, maybe it's just me.

Is the issue on your phone? I know that I have problems with the site with pop-ups on my phone which is why I only post when I get on my laptop. I understand the site's usage of pop-ups for revenue generation, but I agree it is very problematic for phone users.

Feel free to pay for the content instead of complaining about the pop-up. Either that or learn how to exit out of the ad, there is an "x" at the top right you can click. It really isn't that difficult.

Of course, people who believe in conspiracy theories about the NFL rigging games are not usually very bright.

There's a difference between rigging and influencing. I wouldn't expect you to have an expanded vocabulary.

If you reread what I had written, my point is that you can't actually close the ad. Yes the small x is there, no it doesn't work.

Asinine comments like yours on sites like this one help to quell new user comments, decreasing site traffic that builds ad revenue, and probably helps to explain why this site is a ghost town on GameDay comments.

I'll consider your thoughtful comment however and consider sticking to other packer fans sites, thanks.

You are not a new user. Rather, you are someone who was banned, appearing now with a new screen name.

You can get mired in the minutiae of rigged/influenced all that you like. The bottom line is that you believe the NFL is somehow "fixing" games. That is tinfoil hat stuff, pure and simple.

Stick around for Aaron's and Corey's five hour game day show. You'll see plenty of comments.

I saw a lot of hands to the face from the Tampa O lineman, no flags .

I’ve been boned by officials my whole life, in sports and in non-sports. It’s like my Dad told me: Life isn’t fair.

That game was hard to watch. If our OL can't contain the Rams rush, Rodgers had better be rolling out. We will see. Wilson only had to roll out and use his legs to keep his team in the game. Rodgers may have to do the same to move the chains so get your good running shoes on if needed Rodgers. Whatever it takes to move the sticks and move on.

Short/intermediate routes. Get the ball out quickly. As long as they don't turn the ball over they'll be fine. That's how Seattle got beat! Turnovers...
