Q. Are you vaccinated
A. Yes. I'm immunized.

No excuses over subtle language.

Agreed. And he can't say "you didn't ask me what I'm vaccinated against." DUH the reporter was asking about being vaccinated against COVID.

Glad Rodgers is following Shailene's wishes to eat clay, drink spring water and eat herbs instead of taking a freaking shot that billions of people have already gotten around the world (7.1 billion doses have been given globally). When you get paid tens of millions of dollars and have a chance at winning a Super Bowl, with great power comes great responsibility. Way to lead by example, Rodgers. At least our 2nd year QB Love had enough sense to get the damn shot.

This is going to cost us the #1 seed in the NFC - book it.

So what if he was vaccinated and gave the virus to others unknowingly? Would he still be at fault because he wasn't wearing a mask indoors? You can't play when you're positive even when you're vaccinated. See: Davante Adams. What if Adams unknowingly passed it along to someone else? You can still carry and transmit the disease even if you're vaccinated. To say that he endangered others while there was another member of the team that was vaccinated and also tested positive and possibly passed it on to others, it's just asinine. This entire thing is absolutely ridiculous.

I know people can pass the virus if they're vaccinated. And no, he would not be at fault if he was vaccinated and not wearing a mask indoors...because it's not required if he was vaccinated.

The key is to be vaccinated since the restrictions are a lot looser: no masks, distancing, or quarantine is required after high risk exposure to COVID. There's also no travel restrictions.

Unvaccinated players who test positive must isolate at least 10 days, even if they are asymptomatic. Vaccinated players, however, can return following a positive test as soon as they produce two negative tests with 24 hours in between, as long as they are asymptomatic.

In other words, Rodgers would at least have a chance to play Sunday if he were vaccinated.

The point is, he would have a better chance of playing and helping this team win. Now he'll be out for 10 days and could possibly miss the Seattle game if he still doesn't feel well (Dillon was out for a month last year before vaccines were available). What is ridiculous is for people to think that Rodgers is only harming himself: there are 53 other guys, the coaching staff and Packer Nation depending on him. Without him, there is no Super Bowl.

If he was vaccinated he would be out 5 days and 2 negative test to come back. Now he is out at least 10 days and still have to have 2 negative tests to be removed from Covid-19 list.

Yeah and guess what? The main complaint is that he's putting others ar risk. Literally everyone can contract and transmit COVID regardless of vaccination status. The issue the media has blown this so far out of proportion. Yes, he is "selfish" for not wanting to get a vaccine that doesn't fully prevent someone from getting the virus and unknown affects down the line. This isn't selfish, it's unfortunate. It's his life to do with what he pleases and he has put no one at risk any more than anyone else who could possibly transmit the virus despite their vaccination. THAT is what I have a problem with. He's still going to miss time regardless, how are you going to sit there a judge a man for taking a moral stand against a "mandate" that shouldn't be required to begin with?

Did you read what he posted? "If he was vaccinated he would be out 5 days and 2 negative test to come back. Now he is out at least 10 days and still have to have 2 negative tests to be removed from Covid-19 list."

The point: if he was vaccinated, he would not miss as much time and the Packers have a better chance to win. There are far less restrictions and less of an impact on the Packers if he just got the shot.

I'm curious, how do you know he didn't put anyone else at risk? He was photographed via Instragram at a Halloween party without a mask and not taking any precautions. He could've infected a number of other players

You actually said "yes he is 'selfish'" and then in the next sentence said he was not selfish, it was unfortunate. Which one is it?

Have you ever played a team sport? The team comes before the individual, a la the saying "there is no 'I' in team." How can a team function if one person starts going their own way? This applies to any team in any walk of life -- a family, at work, in the military, a sports team, etc.

Vince Lombardi:
"The achievements of an organization are the results of the combined effort of each individual.”
“People who work together will win, whether it be against complex football defenses, or the problems of modern society.”

Explain to me then why Davante Adams, who was vaccinated and was ruled out with COVID on 10/25, JUST returned to practice today, 10 days later. The whole "5 day" rule is wishful thinking. I've never seen a player go on the COVID list, despite vaccination, and be back in anything less than a week. I don't know that he didn't put anybody else at risk, we also don't know who else at that party was positive for COVID and possibly passed it on to him. Don't you think it's much more likely he got COVID from someone who was at that party than anywhere else? Which begs the question, where did the virus come from? Was it someone who was vaccinated? Was it someone who was unvaccinated? If it was from someone who was vaccinated, shouldn't they be held to a higher standard because they are actually the ones who are putting others at risk? It seems like the ones who are REALLY at risk are those who are unvaccinated and their biggest risk factor is those who are vaccinated because they can still contract and spread the virus, just the same as someone who isn't because they won't show symptoms when they are the most contagious and they are free to do as they please without masks because....... I don't have an answer for that and no one else does either. My comment about him being "selfish" was as sarcastic as it comes, which is why I quoted "selfish." Are you going to call someone who opted out of the NFL last year selfish because they didn't want to get COVID? Because there were quite a few players who made that choice and I didn't hear much complaining about it then, so why am I hearing complaints about not wanting to get the vaccine that isn't a cure-all and doesn't stop the spread or contraction of the virus? His choices will affect his team slightly more than if he was vaccinated and he would still be out Sunday and possibly next Sunday against the Seahawks anyway, but the decision does not affect you in any way so why are you so upset?

I'm upset because he looked us in the eyes when asked if he was vaccinated, and he lied. He thought he was being cute or clever by saying "yeah, I've been immunized." Not according to the NFL's definition. He knew what he was doing because he petitioned the NFL for "alternative treatments," but it was denied.

We can set aside the vaccine argument and just ask Rodgers to just shoot straight with us and the rest of Packer Nation. Carson Wentz isn't vaccinated, but the dude told everyone that. He's always got his mask on and following the protocols. Cole Beasley isn't either, but he told everyone that. Rodgers lied to us and thought he was above the rules. I'm tired of him being a diva. I'm tired of wealthy powerful people thinking they're above the law/rules. I would've rather he just said "look, I'm not vaccinated yet, I want to research it a little more, but in the meantime I'll just follow the protocols."

I'm upset because there's 52 other guys, a coaching staff and thousands of fans like me who want to finally win a Super Bowl, and not let a virus get in the way. The vaccine isn't a cure, but let's stack the deck in our favor so we can win football games. This team is special, but we both know there's no Super Bowl without him. It's just that simple. This team and this game is bigger than him; the goal of a championship is bigger than him. If he doesn't want to get vaxxed, then fine, just tell us the truth and follow the protocols for not being vaxxed.

It sounds like you and I want people to be both healthy and free from coercion. And this virus is sort of pitting those values against each other, and I'm coming down more strongly on the side of health, and you appear to value freedom more. But I hear your concerns about health in general as well. And actually, I'm in favor of vaccination because I think it will give us all more freedom - Rodgers included. No, it's not a cure, and yes you're right that it can still be carried by a vaccinated person...but I want him and the players to stack the deck in their favor to play, be safe and be healthy. They have a lot of years left to live long after they hang up their cleats.

There's only 17 games and then it's over in a blink. Does it directly affect me? No. But it indirectly affects the entire team, organization, fan base and could have ramifications for what playoff seed the team gets, which can impact a path to a Super Bowl.

I read the link you sent. Thank you.

But, to be honest, I think it's a bit of a leap to suggest that she was behind him not getting vaccinated, if that's what you're insinuating. There is absolutely zero proof of that, and maybe a little unfair to suggest it.

But I'm sure we'll never know one way or the other.

You're welcome. I don't think it's unreasonable to think she's had an impact on his decisions. She's the love of his life and future wife -- I'm sure her word (like any of our wives) matters a lot.

Time is a circle. Eventually we'll circle back to this and perhaps more information will come out. Until then, I think it's highly suspicious that he's taken this homeopathic angle when she has too. If they weren't together then I wouldn't think twice. But living together as future spouses? Too much of a coincidence to me.

Actually they're not living together. Rodgers announced at the start of the season that she would stay in California because of her schedule and he would stay in Wisconsin for the duration of the football season.

But whatever, it really doesn't matter. At this point, I'm just hoping he hasn't infected anyone else on the team, and that the NFL doesn't come down with anything more than a hefty fine because he didn't follow proper protocols as an unvaccinated player.

Good to know. I'm sure she still has a influence on his choices, and time will tell.

I hope he didn't infect anyone else either. I just hate that he looked in the camera and lied to all of us. He can just shoot straight like Carson Wentz or Cole Beasley did, but he chose to be deceptive.

So, because he lied about being vaccinated, you're writing him off? What would happen if he was vaccinated and he infected someone else unknowingly because he wasn't required to wear a mask anyway? You can't play if you're positive regardless of vaccination status. Davante Adams could've infected Rodgers for all we know. So what difference does it make at the end of the day? Everyone is claiming he's "irresponsible" and "he put other's lives at risk" but if people who are vaccinated can and will transmit the disease, especially because rules are different for them, then how does this fall on Rodgers shoulders? Sure, he lied. Who hasn't told a lie in their lifetime? He didn't knowingly kill someone while driving a vehicle 150+ MPH with tons of alcohol in his system.

Yeah, this AR playofflooooser is way worse. He may have killed a couple of people and with his bad plan. He is all lies.
The Vegas WR was young and made a mistake. AR is a old guy and even he is not that smart like he thinks, he should know better. He did it on purpose and it was not an exident.

When the Vegas WR goes to jail AR should do twice his sentence. His actions are way worde and he may have helped to kepp the killing goin.

This Q idiots are not just weak, they are without moral and values. Nobody more unamerican than these spoiled idiots. but hey, whould would know the orange criminal would run America into the ground. But that is what the lowlife is doin.....

Not many perople worse than our QB in the NFL. 94% doin the right thing but some diva QBs just care for themself. Even if they do just the opposite in reality because the smart like the pillow guy

Tries to trick people all the time and blame others. he should have left for TV or for flatearth society. because science is the enemy of the people. Give me a break. Suspend this trust isue diva without pay. He does not care for his temamates or the Packers anyway.

To be absolutely certain, there's a shitload of blame to go around here.
Everyone , except we fans, knew that Rodgers wasn't vaccinated. The NFL knew, the Packers knew, and Rodgers knew. Nobody did shit about it!
Rodgers went through some series of "Homeopathic" treatments, performed by one of his 'doctors' (who's voice can be heard on Aflac commercials) and who claimed it would immunize him. Rodgers either believed it, or he lied, it's that simple. From my view, either option is not nearly as smart as Rodgers would want us to believe he is, but call it what you like.
Rodgers submitted his treatment status to the NFL, who rejected it, and informed him (and the Packers) that he would be subject to "Un-vaccinated" protocols. Here's where the hypocrisy begins.
Now, of course, the League says it was the Packers responsibility to enforce these protocols, opening the Packers up to potential fines, etc, etc! We all know how Goodell sucks up to, and kisses the asses of star players, we've all seen it on TV. He knew, but now its the Packer fault. What else is new?
The Packers knew, and they for whatever reason didn't enforce the protocols, allowing Rodgers to do interviews without a mask, etc., etc. WTF? The Packers had responsibilities and didn't perform or enforce them.
And then there's Rodgers, standing at a microphone talking shit about how he "loves this team, he loves their grit, loves their tenacity, loves whatever", he loves them, just not enough to protect them from CoVid or care about what his selfishness can do to his teammates, their record, and their chances for home field advantage.
And then there's the fans, the ones now calling Rodgers a liar, while many of them kneel down, worship, and suck the ass of some orange hippo that's never spoken a truth in his entire life.
Damn?

Aaron Nagler, just for your information - YOU CAN NOT BE IMMUNIZED by any other means EXCEPT BY RECOVER FROM ILLNESS OR BY VACCINATION AGAINST THAT ILLNESS.

So, his statement that he is immunized is true and dirty lie!

I've been a Packer fan my whole life. There have been many great moments as well as some down times. Not sure if I've ever felt more disappointed on many levels than I do concerning 12"s poor choices. We all know when we make poor choices we just complicate things. We reap what we sow! I await what he has to say about this, but I think it is what it is. That' what happens when you let one individual have too much influence in the organization. I also feel that the NFL front office is also covering their rear ends on this since they aren't enforcing their own policies. GPB! Hope Jordan balls out.

Aaron & Corey, I just love what you do here at CHTV, and, WAY TO BE!

Your discussion turning to "fans" blasting Eric Stokes after he gave up a TD compelled me to comment. Those doing so really know little about the game, and show little to no understanding of the life of ANY NFL CB.

EVERY Cornerback in the NFL has given up multiple TDs in their careers. As you mentioned, Stokes' development through just his first 8 games played in the NFL has been noticeable. He's got some amazing talent to offer this team, and those fans willing to flame the rookie 1st round pick should go stand in the corner. Be sure to grab your DUNCE cap along the way. You're gonna need it.

DL as you mentioned was phenomenal. My thoughts prior to and during the game went to Reggie White commenting on how difficult it was to contain and bring down Barry Sanders back in the day. Also to some stuff Gilbert Brown & Santana Dotson shared with me on Sanders. Murray has that same elusiveness that is difficult to contain, especially being a QB who is a very solid passer. Our DL was fantastic there.

Matt Mamba FOR THE WIN! "'Let's talk about Oren Burks...' - My Therapist twice a week." DOES IT GET ANY BETTER???

BTW, Melvin Ingram this season has 1 sack, 6 QB Hits, 5 Hurries, and a Missed Tackle % of 16.7%... Allowing 100% completions on 5 Targets.

GUYS, I gotta check you here tho. "Take 12 at his word." Which word?

um, .... Aaron Rodgers' FIRST WORD in response to Ryan Wood's question asking if he was vaccinated: "Yeah." Then he said he was immunized. Then he said he respected the opinions of those other players who feel differently, respecting their personal choice.

THAT does not wash, and we can't be talking out of both sides of our mouths here. Just my two cents. Also can't admonish fans for calling him out as a liar for what he said. Transcript reads:

Q: Are you vaccinated?
A: Yeah.

Eh... you see what I mean. Nevertheless, nice work guys! Thank you!
