I HATE the idea of the opener in Brazil.
I am a long-time Packer fan living in Texas, and depend on NFL ticket to see the games.
SADLY, the opener in Brazil will be EXCLUSIVELY on Peacock network.
THAT SUCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It does suck. I pay for NFL Ticket, that should include every game. Fortunately, we pay $6 month for Peacock anyway so my wife can watch her soap opera.

I just saw a write up from eagles news and it claimed whichever team they play ( was not confirmed to be gb at that time) can view the game locally on regular nbc ? Not sure if true but interesting

Mark Murphy is a big-footing prick. Cooperate with the city Mark. Don't be a dick, stop knuckling the city. Be generous, don't be the prick you are coming off as.

Also, Aaron, can you suck any harder on the Packer teat? It's embarrassing. Thank god Corey was there to actually represent Wisconsinites. The Packers need to be better partners with the city of Green Bay.

Good on the Mayor for repping the tax payers. Mark Murphy can't be gone soon enough.

I'm not a fan of Mark Murphy- The GM, but with that being said, it's probably also important to remember that Murphy is just the mouthpiece / public-facing representative of the board of directors.

The hope is that Murphy himself is just kind of jerk-ish and a bit power hungry. The fear is the board of directors itself is starting to revert from being a bunch of local businessmen/women and selected others who act as stewards of the Green Bay Packers football franchise with intent to preserve its legacy and its future, and start leaning towards being power hungry and entitled, believing themselves to be the elite of the Green Bay food chain.

From the outside looking in, hard to say which is the truth.

I thought it sounds like the Packers seem to be dealing with the city in bad faith on this subject, but it also felt like the Mayor is trying to prove he can be hard-nosed too. Seems like both sides are kind of biting off their nose to spite their face. They both need to sit down and say, "At the end of the day, we are inextricably tied to one another... what do we need to do to get this done?"

Murphy is hardly just the mouthpiece. If you've ever worked at a non-profit or served on a board the board usually serves the CEO. The positions are usually largely ornamental. If anything Murphy is carrying water for his buddies at the NFL, not the board.

You're right though the Packers and Green Bay need each other. Neither are nearly as good of a story without the other. It's tough to have a "what do we need to get this done" conversation with an organization that is negotiating in bad faith. The Packers spent a year negotiating with the city and then completely tried to ram thru an agreement that didn't reflect any of the previous agreements in principle. That is not good faith. It's bullshit.

Having been in on some of the discussions pre-interview, Aaron's role here was to give the opposing view (the Packers' side) and see how the Mayor would respond. When you're interviewing someone who's only going to give you one side of the story, that's what you do. It's Interviewing 101. It doesn't mean he's taking anyone's side.

They weren't questions, they were repeating (and re-repeating) talking points. The Packers had an opportunity to present their side during the broadcast, Aaron chose to do it for them. That's being in the bag from my point of view.

It also doesn't change the fact that Mark Murphy is a colossal dick.

He must have asked the Mayor 4-5 times why they didn't send a counter proposal along with other questions. Your perception of "being in the bag" is just really weird...

Was one time not enough? When the people who are sitting across from you aren't negotiating in good faith what's the point of putting forth a proposal when the elements were already agreed upon over the last year and then just ignored in the agreement forwarded by the Packers. I get your defending Aaron but he was awful in that interview, that was a choice.

The fact that both Corey and Aaron repeatedly mentioned their conversations with 1265 prior to the interview sort of gives the bag away.

It's not a matter of supporting Aaron, it's completely disagreeing with your negativity. Read the comments on the video. All glowingly complimentary of the interview. You are alone in your interpretation, which makes me think there's some pre-conceived opinions behind it. Anyway, you are entitled to your opinion, but I just disagree with it. We can leave it at that.

In so many ways I wish there was a DM function available on the site, but short of that, no, other than Aaron being a Chelsea fan, I have no truck with him (London, is RED). In fact, I normally find him pretty hilarious.

My issue is with the Packers and their big-footing it with the city. I just don't like it when billion dollar businesses think they can do anything they please. Green Bay should look into incorporating Title Town into the city limits...

Two pricks. One big, one little. Genrich has proven himself to not exactly be marinated in integrity as well.

The lawyers will do their lawyerly things. They'll work it out.

For $31 million and everything else the city is asking, why don't they just buy the land? Take that stadium and other Packers buildings off the property and it's worth very little.

I understand the city's arguments if the Packers reneged on verbal agreements. I also think there can never be a solid future for the team with a lease, same as for any other business or renter. The city's priority will never be the Green Bay Packers.
