The good Christain Ringo running on field late and bull rushing the Seattle O line , maybe that should be a designed play. I think Michael belongs in the good, some nice runs , ok a missed play but he is still learning.

Christian Ringo charging into the play was one of my highlights. Driving the Seattle Oline back into Wilson was too funny.

I would definitely NOT include Christine Michael in the good. At 10 carries for 36 yards, plus two awful busted plays, what is there to like?

The knock against Michael in Seattle is that he never learned the playbook. Not only does that waste a down, but it could easily get Rodgers killed.

You can't blame Michael for not knowing the Packers playbook in 3 weeks.

What you say is true only if you assume that they were expecting him to know the ENTIRE playbook by this time. That's very highly doubtful.

I think we can take it for granted that there were only a handful of calls that were truly "in play" when Michael was in the game, and I seriously doubt that ARod would actually hand the ball to the new guy unless they were running one of those plays. Rodgers clearly expected that Michael should know the play. On the second botched assignment, you could see that the O-line was pissed about it, too.

Michael was in Seattle a lot longer than 3 weeks, and the story is that they let him go largely because of blown assignments.

Ripkowski and Kerrigan were in the backfield for another clearly busted play and they definitely should know the whole playbook. Maybe this has to do with MM adding some plays given the new personnel?

The Good the Packers embarrassing an opponent on National TV with a blow out win. It's been a while and I almost forgot how it feels but now I remember, it's very satisfying.

Bad: injuries.. Lions won.

Ugly: Seahawks.

There was so much good about this game. The injuries were the biggest negative about the game.

If anyone questions whether or not Montgomery is a RB at this point is in denial.
And he is not just a gimmick RB. I'm pretty sure his goal line TD run ended those questions.

RC....Just think if McCarthy actually completely committed to Montgomery. It's not just his goal line TD, it's how quickly he's able to get around the edge. He see's a hole and hits it, no dancing no nothing, just hits the hole. I feel for Starks who's just fallen like a rock, but NOW is the time to commit and play the best players on your team. That's Montgomery and a dose of Michaels.

Completely agree NIck.

Montgomery had 9 rushes in this game. What would he have done if he got 15-16?
The way he can get throw a hole that is tiny. The way can explode through the hole. The way he can take a ball to the outside and get to the corner is unlike any RB the Packers have had in quite some time.

His stiff arm of the safety that put the Safety on the ground was great to see.
Most of his runs to are not tosses or trickery types of runs. They are handoffs up the middle or off tackle. Nothing special.

Also his ability as a receiver out of the backfield is a huge key to the offense. He adds so much value that way. When they used to spread Starks or Lacy out wide, they were essentially a non factor. When they spread Montgomery out, he is a legit weapon out there.

I've said it before: if this team wins out and makes the playoffs, this might go down as his second best coaching job...behind 2010, of course. If this team wins out and does not make the playoffs (unlikely given Detroit's schedule, thanks to NYG's win last night)?

We had 5 or 6 UDFA's playing in the secondary. Now we have Randall, Rollins , Hyde back in.

We also have some other recent draft picks from 15' 16' contributing- Lowry- fackrell- Clark Montgomery- Rollins- Randall-
That's the difference - and #12 of course

Given the Giants win over Dallas last night, the Lions road just got that much harder. The Packers are as close to being in control of their own playoff destiny as they can get without actually being in control of their own playoff destiny.

Bearmeat,
Nice of you to own up to doubts, but, hey, this season has given even the most ardent fan some pause. I will ALWAYS pick the Packers as I was born and raised in Wisconsin and the Pack is in my blood, but, I must admit that parts of this season were a trial for me. It's not easy in Tucson (moved here eleven years ago) wearing my Packers gear when they are not doing well. Kudos to you for applauding RC and 'Since 61" (although I've got 7 years on him) since this IS a fan site and sometimes people lose sight of the fact that rooting for the team is, perhaps, more important than whether the team wins or loses. I enjoy the fact that I am an "NFL owner" since 1996, even though I know it doesn't really mean much in reality. A great win and I thoroughly enjoyed the crappy coverage I got from FOX here (missed the beginning and end of the game, damn you, FOX) while the game was on. Hey, NOW IT GETS INTERESTING!!!

The good - as in good luck with the deflections off Seattle receivers intercepted by our secondary. They win the Jeff Janis off your facemask hand-eye coordination award.

The bad - both the Lions and Minny barely winning against putrid opponents. I think NYG beating Dallas tonight helps in the fight for the division (Dallas might have to play hard against Detroit after all, but we lose ground to NY for a wildcard.

The ugly - Arods wobbly legs. He had a hard time walking off the field. A real concern going forward.

The good: O and D, Coaching staff actually being prepared for the game, Play calling

The bad: Useless MM challenge, trotting Starks out there, Christine Michael's knowledge of play calls.

The ugly: The legion of Boom and Cow's predictions of Gloom. The 'most energetic NFL HC' which I would re-label 'the whiniest NFL coach of all time'. Seattle WRs - the most pedestrian group of pass catchers I've ever seen. Seattle OL - looks like a random assembly of common bar drunks.

Anyone watch the end of the Lions game? Chicago would have certainly won that game save for back to back holding calls on the Bears and then a non-call on a blatant pass interference by the Lions. I'm normally not a conspiracy theorist, but this one had a very funny smell to it.

Yeah, that was a tragedy and a sham. As they say, you could find a holding call on almost every play. The officials were playing to the hometown crowd. I can't believe that I was cheering for the Bears. They crapped the bed as only the Bears can. I do like this QB and he has been effective against the Packers. I wouldn't take them lightly.

I didn't watch a lot of that game, but there were so many bad calls/non calls in that game when I did watch. On one of the Lions first drives where Stafford had a huge 3rd down throw. They called holding on the Bears, where in fact there was holding against the Lions.

I don't know how they didn't call that pass interference.

Watching the early parts of that game, the Lions weren't getting many calls. In the end, the refs evened them out.

The bottom line is that the Lions, even though they have 9 wins, are an average to above average football team. They're going to finish the season 9-7 and wonder where the playoffs went.

Good: tied, the pass rush and pass protection, pass defense. May have been the best all year

Bad: Hopefully no more long lasting injuries

Ugly: Seattle game play. They never were in this thing. Unfortunately with their easy schedule remaining and tops in their division, some poor sucker has to go there to play. And probably after they get a bye week too.

Good:

The offense. I finally felt like they were on the same page and things were clicking. I do think Aaron Rodgers injuries have actually helped him play better. It's as if his immobility has helped his fundamentals. He was making passes he was making in 2014 and rarely was making the last year and a half. Plus I thought the offense just seemed to have more creativity to it.

Ty Montgomery as a RB was a genius move. Whoever came up with that idea needs a raise. James Starks has been a disappointment.

Adams. I stand corrected for ever wanting him cut. Patience paid off!

Bad:

Lions, Vikings, and Giants won

Ugly

Seattle's dirty play
