Packers Calendar: Canadian Football League Action on TV

Former Packer Brett Swain appears on ESPN2 at 2:00 p.m. CT on Saturday.

A former member of the Green Bay Packers will be in action on Saturday as wide receiver Brett Swain suits up for his Canadian Football League team in a game televised on ESPN2.

Swain plays for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, who take a 1-0 record into a meeting against the Toronto Argonauts at 2:00 p.m. CT.

From 2008 to 2010 Swain played for the Packers and was a member of the team that won Super Bowl XLV. He led the Packers with three special teams tackles in the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

After being released by the Packers, Swain later signed with the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks before going north of the border.

In his first ever regular season CFL game during the Roughriders' season opener last week, Swain caught three passes for 29 yards and a touchdown.

Good for Brett. Hopefully he'll get a lot of reps and do well. He was a nice player for the Packers. I need a football fix, so I may watch.
