Packers Calendar: Game Plan for the Cowboys Presented to Players

Packers coach Mike McCarthy will hold his Monday press conference at 4:30 p.m. CT.

Now that the Green Bay Packers' opponent in the divisional round of the playoffs has been determined, preparations are underway for the Dallas Cowboys, who invade Lambeau Field on Sunday Jan. 11.

"We'll have a normal practice week," said head coach Mike McCarthy. "We'll bring the players in Monday for strength and conditioning. We'll start Monday with the game plan."

Wide receiver Jordy Nelson will be back with the team after missing practice this past Friday and Saturday to attend to a personal matter, according to McCarthy.

McCarthy will be able to share more about the team's preparations for the Cowboys during his Monday press conference to be streamed live on Packers.com at 4:15 p.m. CT.

Prior to his press conference, McCarthy will host the taping of his weekly television show at 3:30 p.m. inside the fourth floor Associated Bank club level at Lambeau Field.

I wonder what the game plan is to avoid being totally jobbed by the officials like Detroit was. Goodell definitely wants a Dallas/Seattle rematch for the NFC championship game and is going to have his striped shirt boys aware of that fact.

Maybe someday the NFL will get better officials with more skill and integrity...I'm thinking they could raid the WWE. Even that would be an improvement.

"Goodell definitely wants a Dallas/Seattle rematch for the NFC championship..."

Why?

I think a GB-SEA rematch would be a much bigger draw (not that the ratings matter much since, as Bill Barnwell points out over at Grantland, the NFL TV deal runs through 2022).

But if I were to entertain your conspiracy theory, GB-SEA have a history that goes much deeper than some random week 6 rematch. And I think GB, with the NFL's premiere QB, is every bit a national draw as Dallas is.

At the end of the day, GB or Dallas, it doesn't matter. It'll be the NFC Championship Game and millions will watch it regardless.

I am really thinking that the Green Bay / Dallas game might be the highest rated game of the playoffs.

Probably the 2 biggest NFL Fan bases in the league.

Exactly.

Denver-NE might trump it...but not by much.

In this case, the Only way they can trump is because they are following suit.
