Packers Calendar: Josh Sitton, Andrew Quarless to Attend Pep Rally

A pep rally will take place on Thursday on the east side of Lambeau Field's parking lot.

The coordinators of the Green Bay Packers coaching staff will be in the spotlight on Thursday, three days in advance of the NFC Championship game.

Defensive coordinator Dom Capers, offensive coordinator Tom Clements and special teams coordinator Shawn Slocum will all speak at a press conference streamed online at Packers.com at 3:45 p.m. CT.

Head coach Mike McCarthy will hold a seperate press conference at 1:25 p.m., also streamed online.

Wednesday's press conferences were also televised on the NFL Network, but there's been no word whether they'll do the same on Thursday.

Before McCarthy speaks, the Packers will practice, where quarterback Aaron Rodgers is expected to do some of his most work of the week if comments from his radio show on Tuesday hold up.

"It'll be a similar schedule this week probably as far as practice time," said Rodgers.

Last week Thursday, McCarthy said Rodgers took 50 to 60 percent of the team reps as the quarterback continues to battle a lingering calf injury.

At 6:00 p.m., the Packers will hold a pep rally on the east side parking lot of Lambeau Field before the team departs for Seattle on Friday.

Offensive lineman Josh Sitton and tight end Andrew Quarless will be in attendance and will be joined by Packers alumni Antonio Freeman and Doug Evans.

Both current and former players are scheduled to sign autographs in the Packers Pro Shop.

Packers president Mark Murphy will also take part in the activities, along with radio voice Wayne Larrivee, who will emcee the event and help take a look ahead ot the NFC Championship game.

While at the pep rally, TV screens will show highlights from this past season and there will be fan giveaways.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the nearby Tundra Tailgate Zone in the parking lot starting at 5:00 p.m. through 7:30 p.m.

Also at 6:00 p.m., defensive back Micah Hyde will host his weekly radio show 1 on 1 with the Boys, heard on 101.1 FM WIXX in Green Bay.

Hyde typically is joined by a player guest. The show can be streamed with audio at WIXX.com and video via their Ustream channel.
