Packers Daily: Up next? Tucker Kraft

With Christian Watson's extension done, the Packers locking up tight end Tucker Kraft with a long-term extension should be the next priority.

I would say gettin a pretty good FA TE would be THE priority...GB was cooked when this young Stud went down to injury...A good FA would get us some of what Kraft does while still on the mend....Hopefully a DE / OLB or two steps way up so we can really put some teams under some serious pressure....GPG

Maybe Zach Ertz if he is recovered from surgery would be a great, cheap option who could really mentor our young TEs. He had 50 catches for 500 yards & 4 TDs last year, Even at his age he is better than Musgrave.

Ertz is 35 and will be ready to start the 2026 season week 1 or 2. He says he is not retiring but would prefer signing with the Eagles maybe for his last season. The Eagles are freaking loaded @ TE and have no room, they currently have 7 TE on their roster. Ertz has average 50 catches and 4 TDs for the last 5 years.

35 years old and recovering from injury? Golf, you have some interesting player acquisition ideas but this is the oddest one you've floated to date.

I remember when we signed Jimmy Graham way past his prime and he was a disaster. If not for the injury, Ertz would be very attractive. He is still a very good Y TE and judging by his stats still brings the juice. GB has a TE need and seems to be just waiting to see who gets cut.

Yes, Ertz gets shit done on that field...and damn few TE's can both block-catch...He's always been underutilized in the Eagles offense for as good as he is....Could not pick a better Vet TE that COULD be available...As good as the Eagles have been...they really drop the ball on their TE group and WR group stubbornness in the run game to a fault....they have kept themselves out of a couple super bowls self induced...and I'm okay with it...LOL

still need to take their time with him.
There is a big difference in jogging.
Compared to a 40 yard dash.
