There was some discussion that Tom could be an all-pro center .... What about sliding Belton and Rhyan out, moving Tom to center. or will coaching staff be reluctant due to Jenkins injury.

The 1265 brass spent a 2nd round pick on a Center the year after they got Tom. That let's you know what they thought about Tom as an AllPro center. He has played like an All Pro RT and the team hasn't shown much interest in moving him around.....that's more just the internet HCs.

It looks to me like the best case scenario for this season would have Tom at RT if they can. If they can't, maybe you could play Belton at RT and find another RG. You'd rather not move Morgan or Banks or Rhyan if you could avoid it.

The team that took the field at Denver was 9-3-1 and was one of the stronger teams in the league. Tom and Parsons both got hurt and we didn't win any more games. That's how important those guys are.

I first realized how good Tom was when we beat the pants off the Cowboys in the playoffs. He was matched up quite a bit against Parsons, and Parsons didn't get much done in that game. Since then I've watched him keep Bosa and Hutchinson and others out of our backfield, and having him on the field and healthy would be huge. We don't really have a replacement that isn't a big drop off.

For those who were unhappy with his contract, PFF scored him 7th out of 88 eligible OTs (if you put much stock in PFF). Putting Tom out there next to Belton will make a big difference on that side. He's not a big dude (relatively speaking) but is an effective run blocker. You're spot on: the Packers really missed him.

Yes very important we get him back soon

I would say lets see .... of the top 7 on the team if not top 5

If he plays vs the Bears in Playoffs we win.......and I think in regular season game he did not play.

And he probably would have said on the huddle can we run the ball a few plays in 3rd qtr vs 3 running plays...

The Glue for the Offensive line. I still think moving Jenkins was dumb move and it turned out Ryhan went to center..
Should have done that first part of the year left Jenkins at guard. Probably would have not got hurt and helped us also.

Plus he probably taken a pay cut to stay in Green Bay,,,,,,,,move bad choices by the Gute man

he never looked comfortable at center.

I think Zach Tom’s return is just as important as Parsons’ impact. The O-line stability often gets overlooked but it’s key for consistency. If he’s healthy, it really helps set the tone early in the season fnafgames.io

He's a set-it-and-forget-it OT. Not a power guy, but he always seems to get the job done. His being out of the lineup was huge for a team already dealing with the loss of Jenkins and a gimpy Banks.
