Packers' Josh Sitton Is Leading Pro Bowl Vote-Getter Among Guards

Josh Sitton of the Green Bay Packers is the leading vote-getter among guards for the Pro Bowl, according to results released Wednesday by the NFL.

In two previous released, two and four weeks ago, Sitton was the No. 2 guard, behind Zack Martin of the Dallas Cowboys each time.

As of Wednesday, Sitton has overtaken the No. 1 spot with 187,178 votes ahead of new No. 2, Joel Bitonio of the Cleveland Browns (185,345).

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers remains remains the second-leading vote-getter in the league (711,972), behind Peyton Manning of the Denver Broncos (753,689).

Meanwhile, Packers fullback John Kuhn remains the leading vote getter at the fullback position (217,670) ahead of Kyle Juszczyk of the Baltimore Ravens (149,331).

The only other Packers player among the top two at his respective position is wide receiver Jordy Nelson (455,541), who finds himself behind only Antonio Brown of the Pittsburgh Steelers (464,169).

Packers defensive back Jarrett Bush dropped out of the two among special teams players.

The Pro Bowl players are determined by the consensus votes of fans, players and coaches. Each group’s vote counts one-third toward determining the 88 All-Star players who will be eligible for the Pro Bowl Draft.

NFL players and coaches will cast their votes on December 19. The NFL is the only sports league that combines voting by fans, coaches and players to determine its all-star teams. It was the first professional sports league to offer online all-star voting in 1995.

Online fan balloting continues through Monday Dec. 15 at NFL.com/ProBowl/Ballot.
