Packers LB Mike Neal: We Can Be As Good As We Want to Be

Green Bay Packers linebacker Mike Neal was the guest on WBAY's Cover 2 Sunday Sports Night, following the 53-20 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Neal discussed the improved Packers' defensive effort and the benefits they're reaping.

"We always got to get Aaron (Rodgers) the ball back," said Neal. "He's the best quarterback in the league. He scores a lot of points, so that's our motivation. Let him get the ball back and put points up."

I would hope they would want to shut out every team while holding them under 200 yards. But I don't think they can be that good.

Back to reality, what I've seen is enough to convince me they are much improved from the last couple of seasons. I don't know where I'd place them in a 1-32 listing of every NFL defense. Probably somewhere in the middle with the potential for more improvement with continued good health. Which is good enough for me.
