Not sure anyone deserves credit for their snaps yesterday.

My opinion is they need to get Keke and Burks on the field more.
Keke is a player! Also they need a bigger rotation on the DL. Get him more involved to help keep guys fresh!
Burks IMO needs to play more. He has the speed to run with most RB's and could help cover TE's. He would be a better option against the run then Sullivan and/or Redmond. Also he could provide a threat as a blitzer. Something I think Pettine needs to do more.

I also hope Campbell can come back and maybe get inserted into the hybrid ILB/S role. The defense has went down hill since Raven Greene's injury. I think Pettine has to find an upgrade, or else switch what he is doing. Getting Burks/Keke on the field more would be start.

"Burks on the field more"

There has to be a reason he doesn't play right? I expect it's because they don't think he's very good. I haven't seen him do anything really at all in the limited time he's played.

I really don't know what the reason is to be honest. Before he got hurt he was a guy that everyone was talking about that was going to be a difference maker on the defense. Then he got hurt, Pettine adjusted the defense to go with out him, which was to use Raven Greene a lot more. But then Greene got hurt, they inserted the next player to fill the void. Since then Burks has gotten healthy and they continue to run the defense they had with Greene. But the production of the players that have replaced Greene have not been nearly as good.

I think Pettine needs to adjust more.

Lowry had no tackles, and no stats at all.

Sometimes DL just are statless. But Lowry had no tackles in 41 snaps. Where Keke had 2 tackles in 11 snaps.

Keke needs more time IMO.

I agree with you. Pettine is trying to find different personnel groups to cover up for Martinez and the truth IMO. We bring in an extra safety because Martinez can’t cover then we bring in Goodson because Martinez is not good against the run. How about just playing Goodson and Burks. Martinez is playing bad and that just a fact.

Gary played yesterday? Didn't notice him at all.

Clearly they don't care for Burks play either. Or Josh Jackson.

Big time swings and misses so far on those three.

Don't expect every high draft choice to be a star, but they should be a solid contributor.

Can't afford that when they'll be tight to the cap next year.

"Gary played yesterday? Didn't notice him at all."

That means he outplayed most of his defensive counterparts...

Josh Jackson was inactive. Probably not for any good reason. Looks like a healthy scratch.

Gary was the clear winner here, as he was credited with two tackles. That's the total production we get from a first, a second, and third round picks. Seems like we need to do a little better job of projecting college talent into the pros.

I could see that Gary might a bust from a mile away. If I'm not mistaken he had 5 sacks as an outside pass rusher during 3 years of college. What the heck were they thinking? I hope I'm wrong.

gary made two tackles and one was an exceptional play
Lowry is a disaster
Blake is just flailing and failing in pass protection, his pathetic effort on the td is a lowlight

this can't continue, time to move some blake snaps to run/pass option and use goodson/burk

Lets move Fackrell to ILB next to Martinez. Fackrell is a big body run stuffer and experienced in coverage, plus fast enough to cover most TEs.
Certainly can't be any worse than what's happening in the middle of the field now!!

Fackrell is the opposite of what Pettine says he wants in an ILB.

Anyone have a suspicion why Lewis was MIA?

Watching game video looks like Packers were in 4-5 WR sets. (Like it made a difference) Graham over Lewis and Packers do not a third TE ready to play at the moment. Maybe next week?

After mistaking Amos for Brown last week, I wish I never saw Brown play this week...... (GOOD LORD that's some of most flatout bad play I've seen on the boundary in years. Brown better hope Pettine breaks and fries the Hard Drive, otherwise he'll be buried somewhere in Wisconsin..... :-)

Pettine needs to bench Martinez instead of always trying to figure out ways to hide his bad play and lack of speed. He adds a safety for speed then puts in Goodson to stop the run. How about just playing Burks and Goodson so we don’t have to sub guys in and out every play to make up for Martinez. I think Pettine will be gone after this season and we will switch to a defense more like the Chargers, Bears and Vikings play.

Major breakdown in both offensive and defensive production in the loss to the Chargers. Where was the balance on offense? Was Rodgers overlooking everyone else just to try and get Adams the ball? Why did the offense seem to abandon the course that got them to 7-1? Why does the defense keep allowing so many rushing yards? It was a team effort loss and will take a team effort to get back on the winning track. Learn from the mistakes and move on to the next opponent. I'm sure adjustments will be made accordingly on both sides of the ball. A win against Carolina would be a great way to start. Handing the 49er's a loss on their own turf after the bye week would be huge! Go! Pack! Go!
