Packers Snap Counts Vs. The Giants: Week 11, 2025

The Packers did not elevate anyone from the practice squad. The inactive players due to injury were Edge Lucas Van Ness, CB Nate Hobbs, and Kicker Brandon McManus. The healthy scratches were OL Donovan Jennings, and WR Malik Heath. OL Jacob Monk was active but did not play.
Josh Jacobs left the game with a knee injury and did not return. Rob Demovsky reported that the injury is not season-ending, but just when Jacobs might be expected back is not known. Jacobs will undergo additional tests on Monday. Arron Mosby also left the game late and did not return.
OFFENSIVE LINEMEN:
| Player | Snaps | % | STs |
| Morgan | 55 | 100 | 3/140% |
| Rhyan | 55 | 100 | 3/14% |
| Walker | 55 | 100 | 3/14% |
| Banks | 55 | 100 | 3/14% |
| Tom | 52 | 95 | 3/14% |
| Kinnard | 9 | 16 | 3/14% |
| Belton | 3/14% |
The run blocking met expectations, for the most part. The Giants have by far the worst run defense in the NFL. The Packers gained 128 yards on 23 carries for a healthy 5.56-yard average, with 1 rushing TD and a long of 17. However, carries by Melton and Willis for 17 and 16 yards, respectively, are propping that average up. The running backs gained 89 yards on 19 carries, which is a 4.63-yard average. That is still a good number as it is above league average.
There were a lot of productive runs to the left side of the line, particularly behind LG Aaron Banks. Pro Football Focus liked Aaron Banks (79.4 initial grade) and Tom (76.0 initial grade). The line still has some difficulty picking up a yard or two in short yardage situations. It sure would help if Banks became the very good run blocker he was advertised to be, and to be fair, he was, in San Francisco.
The Packers allowed 8 quarterback hits and 2 sacks, both by Brian Burns. Sean Rhyan allowed a quarterback hit to Dexter Lawrence early and then settled down, though he had a bad snap that was listed as a fumble. Jordan Love recovered the fumble. Rasheed Walker and Jordan Morgan each allowed 2 hurries and a QB hit, but PFF did not ding them for allowing any sacks. Banks allowed 2 hurries and Tom allowed 1 hurry. PFF indicated that Love had 3.19 seconds to throw the ball. Love tripped over trash (actually Zach Tom's leg) as he stepped up in the pocket for one of the sacks.
RUNNING BACKS:
| Player | Snaps | % | STs | Routes Run | Targets |
| Wilson | 39 | 71 | 19 | 1 | |
| Jacobs | 12 | 22 | 3 | 0 | |
| Brooks | 5 | 9 | 15/68% | 1 | 0 |
Josh Jacobs finished with 40 yards on 7 carries for a 5.71-yard average. Jacobs had no receptions and just 1 target. Apparently the swing pass Jacobs caught for 15 yards was a lateral. Emanuel Wilson carried the ball 11 times for 40 yards, a 3.64-yard average, and he caught his only target for 9 yards. Wilson had at least 2 very good blitz pick-ups and Chris Brooks had a beautiful blitz pick-up with a long sustain that allowed Love to complete a 33-yard pass to Savion Williams.
QUARTERBACKS:
| Player | Snaps | % | STs |
| Love | 48 | 87 | |
| Willis | 7 | 13 |
Love completed 13 of 24 (54.17%) for 174 yards (7.25 yards/attempt), with 2 touchdowns and no nterceptions. After allowing for 3 drops (I counted 6), PFF listed Love's adjusted completion percentage for 80%. He had a passer rating of 105.2. Love had at least 2 big-time throws. His average depth of target was a whopping 13.4 yards and only 10.6% of his passing yards came from yards after the catch. He gained 7 yards on 2 designed runs, one of which knocked him out of the ball game for a time. PFF gave Love an initial grade of 93.7 grade. PFF thinks Love is putting this team on his back, and with Kraft out, Jacobs leaving the game early, and a bad case of the dropsies from the other receivers, I agree.
Love got some help from Malik Willis, who completed 2 passes for 6 yards and a touchdown. The touchdown pass was a 5-yard bullet to Christian Watson, who simply was not open but made a very contested catch. Willis had a passer rating of 118.8. Willis also ran once for 16 yards. He looks very natural as a runner.
TIGHT ENDS:
| Player | Snaps | % | STs | Routes Run | Targets |
| Fitzpatrick | 35 | 64 | 13 | 1 | |
| Whyle | 20 | 36 | 5/23% | 9 | 1 |
| Musgrave | 19 | 35 | 10 | 2 |
Musgrave caught 1 of his 2 targets for -1 yards. He had a fumble or it might have been 2 dropped passes. This is Musgrave's chance to show what he can do, but it looks like he either got injured or the Packers phased him out in the second half, as Fitzpatrick played 18 of a possible 22 snaps, Whyle played 13 of 22, and Musgrave played 3 of 22 snaps in the second half. Whyle caught 1 pass for 5 yards but it was a touchdown reception. Fitzpatrick caught 1 pass for 2 yards.
The Packers returned to using roughly 1.35 TEs per play, but they really do not have the personnel to play so many TEs if none of them are named Tucker Kraft. Perhaps Whyle can show more as he gets accustomed to Green Bay. Using Musgrave on 9 snaps to block is probably necessary so he is not a tell, but how much it contributes to the success of the offense is open to debate.
WIDE RECEIVERS:
| Player | Snaps | % | STs | Routes Run | Targets |
| Watson | 43 | 78 | 24 | 5 | |
| Doubs | 42 | 76 | 2/9% | 22 | 7 |
| Wicks | 31 | 56 | 17 | 2 | |
| Golden | 19 | 35 | 11 | 2 | |
| Melton | 2 | 4 | 10/45% | 0 | 0 |
| Williams | 2 | 4 | 4/18% | 2 | 1 |
Watson caught 4 of his 5 targets for 46 yards and 2 touchdowns. both of which were beautiful and difficult catches. One touchdown was a 5-yard bullet from Willis despite a defensive back standing next to Watson who swiped at Watson's hands immediately, but Watson held on. The other touchdown pass was a 17-yard fade to Watson that he skied for and out-jumped every around him. He did drop a long over-the-shoulder pass. Watson also legally put a defender on the ground on a pick play that left Whyle wide open for a easy touchdown pass. PFF gave Watson a well-deserved initial grade of 78.4. Doubs had a rough day. He caught 4of his 8 targets for 53 yards with a long of 22, but he dropped at least 2 passes.
Wicks caught 1 of 2 targets for 9 yards and Golden caught 1 of 3 targets for 24 yards, with a long of 24. Golden was inactive last week due to injury so I assume he was on a pitch count against the Giants. Williams caught his only target for 33 yards, all in the air, after Love (and Chris Brooks) bought time in the pocket. It was a nice catch.
The long pass that Watson dropped was a beautiful pass from Love on a third down and 2. It is one thing to get a little pass happy on third and short when one's QB is Aaron Rodgers, who was rarely inaccurate, and the wide receiver is either Jordy Nelson or Davante Adams, who rarely dropped passes and often enough helped out their quarterback by making a tough catch. This iteration of the Packers does not have that connection.
DEFENSIVE TACKLES:
| Player | Snaps | % | STs |
| Wooden | 48 | 67 | 4/18% |
| Brooks | 37 | 51 | 8/36% |
| Wyatt | 34 | 47 | 3/14% |
| Stackhouse | 14 | 19 | |
| Brinson | 6 | 8 | 4/18% |
Wodden had 4 tackles (2 solo0. Wyatt had 3 tackles (1 solo). Brooks had 2 tackles (1 solo). Brinson had 1 solo tackle and Stackhouse had no official statistics. Brooks had a hurry, otherwise, the tackles did not have any pressures. Wooden had 2 stops and 2 missed tackles. Brooks had a tackle for loss/no gain (per PFF, not ESPN or the NFL), and 3 missed tackles. Brinson and Wyatt each had 1 stop (an unsuccessful run).
The Giants gained 142 yards on 38 carries, a 3.74-yard average. That is clearly not bad at all. The thing is that opponents are trying to shorten the game by having long drives and reducing the number of possessions the Packers' offense gets in a game. Here, there was only one negative running play, and the Giants had a +0.08 EPA/running play, which is in the 84th percentile. The Giants did not gash the Packers in the run game, but it was good enough to get a 35:56 to 24:04 time of possession advantage and to limit the Packers to 8 possessions. Indeed, the time of possession was close in the first half, but the Packers only had the ball for 8:39 in the second half while the Giants controlled the football for just over 21 minutes. Moreover, the Giants had those advantages despite having 2 turnovers. The Packers were 4 for 4 in the red zone, which was the difference in today's game.
DEFENSIVE ENDS:
| Player | Snaps | % | STs |
| Parsons | 61 | 85 | |
| Enagbare | 40 | 56 | 9/41% |
| Gary | 39 | 54 | |
| Sorrell | 12 | 17 | |
| Mosby | 18/82% |
Parsons had 6 tackles (1 solo), 1.5 sacks, 3 quarterback hits and a forced fumble. PFF listed him with 6 pressures (2 hurries, 2 QB hits, 2 sacks) in 29 pass rushing snaps, a 20.7% success rate, and 3 stops on run defense. PFF gave him an 90.2 grade. Gary had 3 tackles (2 solo) and a fumble recovery. PFF listed Gary with 3 hurries on 18 pass rushes, a 16.7% success rate, which is a respectable pressure rate. He also had 2 stops (includig 1 no gain), and 1 missed tackle. Gary's run defense has improved. Enagbare had 2 assisted tackles (0 solo) and a QB hit. He had 2 stops and a missed tackle. PFF indicated that Enagbare had no pressures on 15 pass rushes (PFF did not credit Enagbare with a QB hit but the NFL and ESPN did). Sorrell had 1 assisted tackle. Sorrell had no stops and no pressures, as he only got 2 pass rushing snaps. Mosby had 2 nice tackles on special teams, one of which sent him to the sidelines late in the game.
It is interesting that Enagbare got more snaps than Gary, who is due $19.5M in cash for 2026 and will carry a $28M cap number. The Packers could save over $10M with a straight release of Gary and almost $18M with a June designation. Yet, his numbers are perfectly respectable, particularly for a #2 Edge player. LVN will return but he has not really blossomed into a #2 Edge yet, and Enagbare is an unrestricted free agent and also is not the pass rushing threat one looks for in the number two (or even a #3) Edge player. Enagbare had 11 pressures in 124 pass rush snaps coming into the Giants game (an 8.87% pressure rate) while LVN has 16 pressures in 104 pass rushing snaps, a 15.38% pressure rate. 15% is respectable but my eye test indicates that a lot of LVN's pressures are hustle pressures due to another player winning on a passing play. The Packers will have a decision to make, and one that can't be made in a vacuum because there are many moving parts in personnel decisions.
LINEBACKERS:
| Players | Snaps | % | STs |
| Cooper | 71 | 99 | 4/18% |
| McDuffie | 53 | 74 | 19/86% |
| Walker | 38 | 53 | 3/14% |
| Hopper | 12 | 17 | 16/73% |
| Welch | 14/68% |
McDuffie had 11 tackles (6 solo), 1 QB hit and half of a sack. PFF listed him with 2 pressures (1 hurry, 1 sack) and 1 stop. McDuffie also committed pass interference which gave the Giants the ball on the Packers' 1-yard line. Walker had 7 tackles (1 solo). He had 2 stops and 1 missed tackle. Quay Walker left the game with an injury. Cooper had 6 tackles (3 solo) and a tackle for loss. PFF assigned no pressures and no missed tackles to Cooper, but I remember an egregious missed tackle that ruptured into a big gain for the Giants. Hopper had 1 solo tackle. PFF does not provide any statistics for Hopper.
DEFENSIVE BACKS:
| Player | Snaps | % | STs |
| McKinney | 72 | 100 | 9/41% |
| Nixon | 70 | 97 | 4/18% |
| Valentine | 70 | 97 | |
| Williams | 66 | 92 | 9/41% |
| Bullard | 47 | 65 | 7/32% |
| Olapado | 1 | 1 | 10/45% |
| Anderson | 1 | 1 | 15/68% |
| Hadden | 6/27% |
Nixon had 8 solo tackles and 2 passes defensed. He had one stop, per PFF. Mckinney had 5 tackles (2 solo) and a pass defensed. Evan Williams had 8 tackles (4 solo), an interception to end the game and a pass defensed. PFF assigned 1 stop and 2 missed tackles to Williams. Bullard had 5 tackles (3 solo) and a pass defensed. He had no pressures on 3 pass rushing snaps. Valentine had 2 solo tackles.
Jameis Winston threw 5 turnover-worthy passes, one of which was intercepted (by Evan Williams). The one that got intercepted was the least egregious as Winston's receiver stopped running the route. Valentine dropped one and the other chance he had was on a deflection by another defender, but he just did not react quite fast enough to, and McDuffie also half tackled him. Bullard also got his hands on an errant pass but again another Packer actually interfered with his attempt to catch the ball.
SPECIAL TEAMS:
Orzech is still a bad long snapper. Havrisik missed 2 out of 3 extra points and LaFleur prudently did not require him to attempt any field goals. Whelan snagged a couple of bad snaps and flipped the field twice in the second half.

Thanks, TGR. The 3.19 time for Love to pass is more than I remember for a while. How is that compared to the Packers' average and the rest of the NFL?
Your snap counts need to be adjusted for Love and Willis, but I'm sure you just forgot to fix that one.
72 plays on offense to the Packers' 55. That's the biggest discrepancy I remember. Whatever works. Just don't like the D on the field that much.

21 minutes and change for NY to 8 and change for the Packers in the second half. The first half was even - 15 and change to 14 and change. No negative plays. Long, time consuming drives.
I forgot to credit Emmanuel Wilson with the catch for the 2 point conversion. Kindly just insert this into the article. I already fixed the snap counts for the QBs.

Did McDuffie cause two misses on interceptions? I think Cooper is playing hurt; he just is not that impactful of late.

Did you notice how the run D took a step back after Walker got hurt? Wonder who took over the green dot? Didn't look like Cooper so it was probably X.M. who had 100% of the snaps.

It did get worse. I am not as sure about the cause. It well could have been the absence of Quay W.
38 for 142 yards, 3.74/carry for the game.
16 carries for 52 yds, 3.25 yds/carry in the 1sat half.
22 for 90 yds, a 4.09 yds/carry in the 2nd half.
That is worse in the 2nd half. It is not horrendous and 4.09 is better than the league average. Quay got injured with 6:46 left in the 3rd quarter. NY had runs of 7, 4, 3, 1, 5, 3, 8, 2, 5, 2,1 and 1 (1-yard touchdown though). 17, 7, 4, 2 and INT.
I count 33 plays after Quay left and Hopper only played 12 snaps. Those runs listed above are 72 yards on 16 carries, a 4.50 clip, and that is healthy, but not ridiculous. Quay would have played 34 snaps more had he stayed healthy. Hopper probably took some but at most 12 of those snaps. Mcduffie got the rest, I suppose.

Our biggest problem is what haunted us last year, we couldn’t get off the field on 3rd & 4th down. We do that and this game is way different.

You mean other than not catching at least a better percentage of the interceptions?
In this game the problem for me was that an on paper nondescript OL physically dominated our DL consistently. My impression was that they were just able to move our interior backwards. Part of that may have been how long we were out there on D later on.
We also gave up a number of long 3rd down completions. Their TEs in particular seemed to have no problem getting open. McDuffie at MLB is understandable given how much they were running, but he’s not one you want covering if a team passes. Had the DL been doing better, perhaps we see more Hopper, who looks good covering.
We are light in the pants on the DL. Stackhouse did not play a lot or Brinson, so for most of the game our 300 ish or less interior was bullied consistently. The Giants exploited that deliberately and concertedly in a way we’ve not seen to date and I suspect we will see again now. We really need help inside. We really need to go heavier more. I wish we had brought in a player when Clark was traded.

It was a bad run D for sure, but that hasn't been the case most of the year. Prior to the last few weeks, they were given up the 2nd least YPG, but since it has been terrible. Something has to change or it will be a long season.

The Giants were 7 out of 14 on 3rd down, and 3 out of 4 on 4th down.
The Packers were 7 out of 11 on 3rd down, and we didn't go for it on 4th down.
The Giants punted twice and threw an interception and turned it over on downs once.

Packers just can't seem to play complementary football. And, have too many mistakes game in and game out.
That said, if they can put it all together as the season progresses and stay healthy or get healthy, this team could do some major damage in the playoffs.

Watson is starting to look more like a #1 WR. It is taking longer than one hoped and he is not there yet, but he was and has been the big play machine. We shall see what the market is for Doubs. GB does not really have anyone who has stepped up to be the possession receiver, and doubs himself is not the best possession receiver I've seen. He does a lot of things well, and he can play X. I don't know.... I don't want to pay $15M for Doubs (or for Quay, for that matter).
Speaking of Quay Walker, I expressly wrote in the watch party/preview article that now I could watch Hopper play. And then I did not notice him at all. He had 12 snaps and I don't even remember the solo tackle. Sigh.
Just baby steps for the offensive line. Yeah, they only just met my expectations against a suspect defense. Banks has strung together a couple of better games, though I think he had issues last week. It would be interesting if Center turns out to be Rhyan's best position. Rasheed is useful, but I still have to think no to $20M per year. I am not thrilled about paying Rhyan, if that should be a reasonable thing to do, but with just a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and if one is an optimist, a 5th round pick to plug immediate holes, finding an OC, a RG, a CB, perhaps an Edge to replace Enagbare and/or Gary, maybe an ILB for Quay, and a stout DL, sounds like a lot. We can all make leaps of faith about internal improvement. I can think Morgan can fully replace Rasheed at LT if I squint really hard, and Hopper replacing Quay, and Melton being CB #3/4 material, and Stackhouse being Gilbert Brown or better, but that stuff wears off after a while.
The tight end room needs depth. These guys can't really even block, the ones that have blocking as their calling card are kind of impostors. Love needs more reliable receivers, both as to running the right route and making the catches that ought to be made, and some yards after the catch guys as well.

When is Reed due back? I thought he was the Packers' possession receiver. Kinnard came in for the heavy package and reported eligible, but I lost count after he was subbing for Tom. Hope his injury doesn't linger too long.
Thegreatreynoldo
November 17, 2025 at 06:58 am
Reed averaged 4.0 and 3.2 receptions per game in 2023 and 2024. Not precisely a possession receiver but he was a big yards after the catch guy to the tune of 15.6 yards per catch. 6.9 yards after catch last year.
Reed was seen on the sidelines working up a sweat. So was LVN. Perhaps they return in 2 weeks or so? No way to know - I have seen guys working and rehabbing on the side lines for what seems like an eternity before they get back on the field. Reed had a big problem with drops in 2024, but not so much in his other years, IIRC. Still, he would help immediately, if healthy.

Rhyan looked okay at center against the NYG and they have some decent DTs. I want to see lots more of that level of play before I would consider resigning him, but it is becoming a possibility. Certainly playing no worse than Jenkins and would cost far less than Jenkins $24.8MM next season.
Belton has just disappeared. Hopefully he can take a second year jump and be part of the Packer OL next season.
Musgrave is a huge disappointment. Two catches for nothing and a fumble. He goes down when a defender even breathes heavily on him. Talk about blowing an opportunity.
Very disappointed to see the dropsies return - Doubs had two horrible drops on passes that hit him squarely in the hands. If Doubs makes those two catches this game might have looked very different.

Yeah, I don't get using Kinnard over Belton as the jumbo package TE (which the Packers are using more as the season goes on).
Rhyan should get better to some degree as the rest of the season wears on.
T7Steve
November 17, 2025 at 10:38 am
They're using the jumbo package more now because of the Kraft injury. The other TEs don't stack up to his blocking ability on passes and more so on run blocking.

it could be that he's just scouting McVay. he's been running McVay's offense from 3 years ago but McVay changed that up last year. Maybe Matt is finally catching up.

I wonder if the brain trust would take a flyer on Hayden Hurst? He wants to return to the gridiron, but there are caution flags. See if the viqueens hold on to Ben Sims. Musgrave should have been moved after year one.

This is a mantra for you. So, I've looked into teams who've not extended 5th year options for first round picks, and guess who leads the NFL in that category? The Cleveland Browns with eight picks. Hardly an endorsement for quality.
Data for second- and third-rounders is especially messy because there’s no 5th-year option like first-rounders have; they just finish their 4 years and either re-sign, are cut, or move on.
So, which team should the Packers emulate in moving on from non-performers? Who's been most successful in drafting stars to retain, and/or cutting early round picks and admitting their draft incompetence?

The best possession receiver-
Is Kraft !
And I would pay quay Walker before Doubs.
Just like last year we saw too many drops.
Gute was Right to draft a WR or 2.
The Te is the go to guy now.
Something Rodgers missed.
Rhyan did great.
That was no push over at NT.
Extend him early.

Two things frustrated me terribly in this game:
1. The inability of the Packers players to FINISH THE DAMN PLAY! SO many dropped passes, missed tackles, dropped interceptions, etc.
2. LAZY play! Remember those first two games where the defense was rallying gangs to the tackle? Well, I can't count how many times I saw defenders let up as soon as a play went the other direction or a teammate SEEMED to be in position to make a tackle/play. (That was why I ranted that we shouldn't select R Gary in that draft, and "I picked" Brian Burns--watch Gary on plays that went away from him yesterday; I've never seen a player who relaxes THE MOMENT the play heads away from him. Aaron Kampman he ain't! I wonder if Parsons is getting pissed at this, because he's a 100% effort guy?)
It's not just the defenders, either, I saw plenty of offensive players not rallying to the play.
This REALLY seems like a coaching issue to me.
LACKADAISICAL.

"This REALLY seems like a coaching issue to me."
Yes sir, and it's not just MLF. It's the whole damn staff IMO. For example, remember all the 2nd and 3rd year jumps from Teds drafts?
With the exception of a very few Gutey picks, where in the hell are the 2nd and 3rd year jumps on the Packers?
Thegreatreynoldo

I remember Parsons getting way downfield to make a tackle. That was a long way to run after a pass rush. The lack of swarming to the ball (except when someone had a chance at an interception and then they get in the way of Valentine and Bullard) has been noticeable lately. GB is better about it on running plays because OL start pushing the RB for more yardage if the D does not gather and get a whistle.
Brooks has the fantastic blitz pickup at 5:56 left in the 4th so the 33-yard pass to Savion can be completed. I have E. Wilson blocking a blitzer at 10:57 in the 2nd to allow the 24-yarder to Golden. There was another good blitz pick up but I did not make a note.
I think we both expected Gute to draft Brian Burns with the 12th pick. I was stunned when he took Gary. Dexter Lawrence, Wilkins, even Lindstrom were all also in play. I thought maybe a trade down to take a flier on Jeffrey Simmons. Burns and Gary's careers have been reasonably similar, at least arguably, but Burns is sitting at 13 sacks for 2025 already and two pro bowls as well. Burns has 19 more sacks than Gary over those 7 seasons. Burns is 10th in salary for Edge (28.2M) and Gary is 13th at $24M.

November 17, 2025 at 07:39 am
If not for the character questions, I'd have been leaping up to take Jeffry Simmons that draft; he looked like Reggie White on tape, but I went with Burns, who has been equal or better than Gary every year (except the year Burns was injured)
Yes, there were some excellent efforts by some players, but I'm appalled that I'm seeing terrible effort from a BUNCH of players on this team.

Burns was the man. Montez Sweat another guy I would move on over Gary. Lawrence, Wilkins, Simmons still bring it. I like Sorrell to be a contributor down the road into the Playoffs. When Cox returns they can bring more heat. A lot of these guys are hitting the mid-season wall. Time for a reboot as we enter the Rivalry Games.

He has 67 Sacks, to date, 13 in 2025. This is a results League. He played 4-3 DE for Carolina. He's an Amoeba guy who can go hand in the dirt, or flow to the ball, just as Parsons executes. The 2019 draft, No SB 4 U.

The lazy, lackadaisical defense just held their 7th opponent to 20 points or less

I'm not saying the entire TEAM is lackadaisical, but I don't think we should see even ONE player relax as soon as the play moves away from them or a teammate SEEMS like they will finish the play, but I saw a TON of that in yesterday's game.

The defense is really good on a Points Per Game metric, and not very good on a Points Per Drive metric. These teams like the Browns, Cardinals, Panthers, and Giants who know they are overmatched talent-wise are intentionally grinding clock with long drives to keep the ball out of Love's hands, and it's working. The Giants had two 8+ minute drives. Other than one 3 & out, the halftime kneel out, and the final 40 second desperation drive, every Giants possession lasted longer than 4 minutes. The defense is letting through too may 3rd down conversions and not taking advantage of turnover-worthy plays.

The average score in those three lost games is 13-10.

See how Hafley unloads on McCarthy this weekend. This D has to relax their hands when looking to make a steal.
Bullard did not get home on his blitzing. Have we heard any news regarding Asante Samuels,jr. ? Maybe Stephon Gilmore can play a limited role in coverage.

I DON'T feel any better after yesterdays victory...Not even a little.
I also don't feel this team is all that talented. ONLY when I put on my "Homer Glasses" do I believe the hype.
So is it Gutes picks or the inability of Matt LaFleur and his coaching staff to coach up these draft picks? Perhaps both?
These next 7 games are going to tell us A LOT but I can't shake this feeling this team is going to flame out at the end.

"I can't shake this feeling this team is going to flame out at the end."
Remember the last time they were playing well and we were confident? My glass half full feeling is that they're only showing what they have to even if it costs them occasionally, and when they need to, they'll flip the switch and click it up a notch.
I wear dark green glasses in the dark I suppose?

I agree, they aren’t playing like a dominant team, and I have my doubts about them getting to the SB. Who really is playing dominant? Probably the Rams and somewhat the Eagles. But the Eagles offense is suspect. Donald of the Seahawks on Sunday showed like he did last year with the Vikings, he can’t do it in the big games. Detroit is similar to us, some really good games and some bad. Don’t even bring up Da Bears, they’re frauds. So is Tampa.
For the NFC, it’s the Rams or because I don’t see another dominant team, I think who gets hot between (Rams, Eagles, Packers, Lions) at the end of the season gets to the SB. It’s a long season, but as of now, Rams definitely have the edge.

To be fair, I didn’t expect to feel better after this game. The Giants are decimated at almost every position but pass rusher and the wind by the second quarter was a big issue.
If anything for me the biggest concerns that did come to light were the catching on both sides of the ball and how our IDL was manhandled I don’t expect DBs to catch everything, but I do expect better than that even with McDuffie arriving to effectively tackle his teammate on one and I think, actually 2 (one Valentine and the other Bullard. On offense, it was like the WRs just weren’t sharp to start. Those were good passes well located despite the wind. I would have thought, after last week, the O would be extremely focused. It did not appear that way.
The bigger issue I fear is the overwhelming of Wooden, Brooks and Wyatt by the never physical Runyon and the likes of Van Roten. Teams aren’t going to miss that. We can’t go that light and hope to stand up if the team is not getting off the field in D fast. Other, better, OL will have seen that.
I did think Banks had by far his best game. I did think Rhyan played above expectations against a fired up Dexter Lawrence. Those are good signs. Wilson’s protection was good to see. If Jacobs is out we are going to need that. I think Wilson will benefit from more snaps. I thought the Giants run D tightened up somewhat during the second quarter as they decided passing was going to be a struggle for us.
Our TEs are dreadful. If Wylie has more to offer he could end up starting by default. Right now take them off when at all possible or either call move TE routes not ones we had Kraft running. LaFleur you need to adapt not pretend these guys can do that athletically or as blockers. Alternatively, have Gute go and get a blocking TE and then actually use him. The 6th OL seemed to help, but seemed to largely disappear after Love returned. Why?
Morgan seems to get stood up too often and already struggles in strength terms. He did have some sound plays at times, but I am severely doubting that he’s really our best option there. I truly wish we’d worked him at RT and Belton at RG in the summer. I’d not rule out Kinnard offering more as a G at this point.
We need to be willing to use Willis. With Love, without him for a few snaps, I don’t care. We don’t have enough talent to sail through the season leaving him unused in some way. If we can use the much less talented (at QB) Savion Williams for a few snaps, we can find more ways to use Willis. That’s a major change in position for me. On the subject of Savion, when forced it turns out he can run at least one route and catch using his size to hold off a defender. Why has that taken so long?
Overall that was a game where we were never going to find out much about our O’s potential to grow. The more so with the conditions. Hopefully Wilson will benefit from a rare volume of attempts, but that aside, this was a game against the one team that seemed set up to match up badly to what we have been doing offensively. Had we not had focus drop issues, this game may have been a canter as they would not have been able to run and run as they did.

I think that, the more I see of him, Morgan is not a G except in an emergency and that playing him there likely is not helping him or us. Perhaps it’s time to try Kinnard, Belton … somebody.

I felt great about this game.
The WRs dropped passes and shouldn't be resigned.
Gute was right to draft 2 new ones.
The possession Receiver is Kraft.
The dropped INTs also were possible.
Now is the time to move Morgan.
As both Tackles look to be struggling.
Rhyan is our new Center.
And Banks is not the LG, PFF makes him out to be.
IMO - Banks would be better at RG than Morgan.
And Jenkins should be the LG.
Savion Williams catches over his shoulder.
He must replace Wicks who should be
moved to the Hybrid TE position.

"I DON'T feel any better after yesterdays victory...Not even a little."
I always feel better after a win. The win is the goal. Not aesthetics.
What I don't feel good about is Jacobs' situation. Supposedly it's not a serious injury, but he couldn't continue. He's the most consistent playmaker they have and--as much as we don't want to think this true--the run game will be a focal point against Major Payne's Vikings next week. Opposing DCs are always looking at 8.

Easy to say from afar. A lot harder to come to terms with when it’s you.
I don’t know why we have him running Kraft routes. He can’t block in the TE sense and we know he’s best up the seam and on stop routes. I wish someone would ask LaFleur why that is. Fitzpatrick isn’t any better at being Kraft either.

The backup TE pick went to Marshawn Lloyd. Once again, Pro style talent stares them in the face and their guy fails to see a field in two seasons. Theo Johnson had a good game yesterday. An Inline guy.

I missed this game because I didn't feel like torturing myself by listening to the radio broadcast, so the game summary is appreciated more than usual. The youtube highlights weirdly omitted the Packers' third TD drive, so I'm wondering what happened on the extra point attempt. Did he miss it wide, like the first one? Maybe now I understand why they rolled with an injured McManus the last couple games. Disappointing to hear about the bad day by the long snapper, he's been mostly okay the past couple years. I wonder if the wind affected those snaps.
Coldworld
November 17, 2025 at 09:16 am
The kickers on both sides had some wild ones. The long snaps were flying as well. Whelan’s ability to handle wild snaps was showcased as a holder and on his punts. That likely affected more than one kick attempt. The wind was gusty. And apparently circling inside the stadium.
I honestly don’t know how to interpret that in terms of either Kickers performance. By early in the second half I was just wishing we’d go for 2 in those conditions. Eventually we did, with Wilson catching the 2 pointer. The winner was McManus on that day. I’m not sure he’d have fared better.

Whelan is a good holder and if it weren’t for his saves on Orzech’s wild snaps, Orzech would have been cut long ago. Orzech is not good, never has been.

I remember Jerry Rice talking about his remarkable ability to catch-his father was a brick-layer and Jerry worked with him as an older child and had to catch bricks much of the day.
I don't think our guys put in enough catching practice. The great players also put in the work on their own; Davante said 'the light came on' one day and he knew he had to take it to the next level. Jordy knew Rodgers wouldn't throw it to him unless he was reliable, understood the play and ran a crisp route. Rodgers had a lot to do with WR excellence. I remember him quizzing WRs during mid-week meetings and if they didn't seem to know what the plan was-he wouldn't give them the ball in the game.
Is there a video-game problem with some of the guys? Are they watching enough tape? I've heard troubling rumors.
BTW: Davante caught his 1000th ball yesterday.

I like the well-oiled machine stuff.
Yesterday, they had an Indiana Jones marathon on. He's not a well-oiled machine. IN fact, he's scrambling for his life quite a bit of the time, just like the Packers. He's not James Bond, who just makes everything seem effortless. He's scrapping and clawing. I like that. And that's the Packers this year.
6-3-1. 7 games where we've scored 27 or more, 7 games where we've held the opponent to 20 or less.

That well-oiled machine scored 21 points vs the Seahawks and they got 4 turnovers from Darnold and Co. That said, I'm glad Adams got away from AR, whose life trajectory has been heading down for many years.
I'd also note that Detroit turned the ball over on downs at least 5 times (I turned the game off because it was so boring). The brilliance of Dan Campbell never shined quite so brightly...
