@snake relax. I guess is don't see the posts on CHTV with all that "whining". It seems to me most posters on this site are OK with boosting the defense and are a bit surprised by the ILB pick at #22 as it is a position considered less valued than Edge, OT, etc. Everyone wanted to see Kenny get some help on the DL. But can we at least acknowledge that the Packers almost never draft a 24 year old rookie?

But if you are going to bring out that old chestnut about 2nd round WR's then perhaps you should present the whole picture.

Greg Jennings, 4th WR chosen in his draft class
Jordy Nelson, 3rd WR chosen in his draft class
Randall Cobb, 7th WR chosen in his draft class
Davante Adams, 9th WR chosen in his draft class

The first 6 WR are already off the board in this 2022 class. The Packers next pick is after 20 other teams get a shot. Is it possible that a couple more WR's go in those 20 picks?

Is reasonable to be disappointed that the Packer might not get one of the top 7 or 8 WR prospects? With their current roster, that disappointment is not an extreme or unreasonable point of view.

NF, your post is very reasonable. There are a few of the usual internet knuckleheads that are "whining" about it , but here on CHTV there are a fairly large number of well informed fans that are willing to discuss the pros and cons of each pick. Just ignore the 12 year olds that post everything in UPPERCASE with !!! exclamation marks like they are crying to their mommy to let them stay on the computer a few more minutes, :)

Does anyone really think Quay Walker was a good pick at 22. I know the greenbay media machine is trying to convince people. Not me

Dune, your comment is spot on. This web site puts out a nice draft guide. Where did the CHTV draft guide have Walker...

The 10th best ILB on the board.

In that CHTV guide, where was Quay listed on the Uglem wish list...88th

The Athletic put together a list built from the "consensus" average of 60 analysts. Where was the consensus on Quay, 52nd overall.

I trust Gute and his staff to be solid and knowledgeable evaluators of talent. But Naggler jumping up and down at last night's draft party was ridiculous and he made himself look stupid. He should at least discuss how most GM's do not value ILB as being worthy of your 1st pick unless they are special or you have a big hole to fill.

At least acknowledge that many (and I mean many many) analysts thought there were several ILB's available at that time with greater potential than Walker. Gute may be right, Walker might become a Hall of Famer. But for heaven's sake stop cheerleading and give some decent analysis Nags.

You said we wouldn't draft Christian Watson, because you liked him.

Hate to say it Aaron, but you were wrong again. ; )

Not only was Nagler dead wrong, but every superchat is saying that everyone's against the picks, when there wasn't one superchat who said anything bad against the picks!
