Stats: Roughly $40M over the cap without signing Davante, Lazard, MVS, EQ, Malik Taylor, Tonyan, Dafney, Nijman, Kelly, Patrick, Campbell, Barnes, Douglas, King, Sullivan, Lancaster, Bojorquez, or any of the other minor free agents. Some of those names may not mean much, but as is, the only receivers on next year's roster are Amari Rodgers and Juwann Winfree, and Deguara and Davis are the TEs, assuming Lewis retires. The core of a solid Offensive line is still there, but with little depth, and Clark and Lowry are the only decent NFL defensive lineman signed for next year. Lowry comes with a footnote. Without signing any of these guys, they need to make significant moves just to get to the cap. The list of players possibly not back gets longer with needed cuts. Yes, they can do some extensions or restructures, but Gutey and Ball have a huge challenge ahead of them. They will lose significant pieces, no matter what levers they pull. Rodgers is the biggest potential one to pull. I'm not looking forward to it, since I don't think Love is the answer, but it seems unavoidable.

I wouldn’t put too much money on that if I were you. The more Rodgers says the less likely it becomes, and it was pretty unlikely to start with.

I sure as hell hope so. In spite of Nagler's (with all due respect) worthless opinion. I hope the Packers find a way to keep Aaron Rodgers. He is not the problem. He has not single handedly cost the Packers multiple Super Bowls.

Nags- 2014 was the worst for me too. The losses we've had since then I can handle better, since I am more conditioned and have experience with disappointment and coming up short in big moments. GPG!

I was tired of losing with Favre because he would throw an interception to lose the big game, even did it to the Vikings in NFC Championship.
Now I'm tired of Aaron because he won't take a chance and when the game is on the line.
If you've watched Brady play even recently i always admired his Passion. He'd walk up and down the sidelines and get his team excited to go out there are WIN. Aaron just sat there meditating i think. His not the guy anymore. This is a team game and doesn't matter how many MVP's he wins if the TEAM doesn't win a Super Bowl in 12 years.
Time to move on.....My humble opinion.... Been a Packer fan for over 50 years....

He took a chance throwing to a double cover Davante when Lazard was wide open. To me it's not about taking chances it's about arrogance.

So now we have #1 - 2104 and #2 - 2022 as the worst loses in Packer history.
How do these stack up to the rest of the league? Do we own #1 & #2 worst defeats in NFL history?

Buffalo has to have the market cornered on heartbreaking defeats. I mean, besides the 4 Super Bowl meltdowns they had a big TD to take a 3 point lead with 13 seconds on the clock. 13 freaking seconds!!! And Mahomes stole it. Even Capers would have been able to hold them for 13 seconds.

I think our ST mistakes were worse. :(
Maybe the 4 min 21 point comeback by Manning. But that wasn't a playoff game.

Packers got to butt their head against the wall, because of Rodgers, at least we always had the chance to get there !

Of course love is not aaron rodgers, but really what do you want the packers to do ? Mortgage the future for another three years to have homefield advantage and like in the divisional round??

Accept the fact all things run its course like aaron rodgers Era and move foward . Yes alot of guys will be gone.

Who knows at this point if bak will ever play again .

I respectfully think we are directing this terrible open wound and pain of Saturday's game toward Aaron Rodgers a bit too much. Let's give it a few days. Rodgers is not a perfect quarterback (he played a hell of a lot better than Jimmy Garoppolo) and no quarterback is and I understand he has opened himself up to be the recipient of all this angst because of his diva behavior the last year particularly. The conversation has gotten to the point of blaming him for his wide receivers not being faster. This is all too much. The salary cap stuff (or other reasons) may cause Rodgers to be gone but we enter a world of madness when we blame Rodgers for more than is rational. The Packers have been extraordinarily successful during Rodgers' time here. I don't know the reasons why the Packers have had such difficulty in the playoffs in recent years but it certainly isn't all Rodgers fault. Be careful what you ask for, we have been unbelievably fortunate with Rodgers. It could be very very different. Having a 4 time, presumably, MVP is pretty good fortunate. Rodgers is a diva and imperfect, but let's please not overdue it and let the pain subside a bit before we go too far.

I would agree with you if this wasn't a pattern we get from Rodgers in the Playoffs.

If I told you that the Defense held the 49ers to 13 points and they lost would that be acceptable to you? I doubt it. The Special teams was shit but the Defense made up for it. The Defense could not make up for Special Teams and Rodgers scoring 10 points.

AR missed a couple open receivers true but other offensive players made mistakes as well… and in a close defense game it’s too much to ask to overcome a blocked punt and blocked FG that cost 10 point difference. Be careful what you wish for You AR haters should focus your anger on the front office for allowing this STs shit show for years

Salary cap WILL cut Rodgers but why is the special teams coach still there? 49ers have a running back holding for their kicker, we have a punter. Should’ve kept our previous punter. Maybe Murphy and gm should be looked at to.

Lol, you say you won't discuss Rodgers outside of football, then discuss him outside of football and clearly it's because you don't agree with his opinions.

I agree with his opinions as most of them are factual.
Very refreshing to hear instead of misinformation, constant virtue signaling and shaming that we are bombarded with on radio, TV, internet.
football is the ultimate team sport and to go deep in the playoffs you cannot have major weaknesses or they will be exploited and this has happened to the Packers time and time again. This is all on management for not addressing those weaknesses that we still have with special teams the offensive line, game planning, coaching.

Pack will restructure Rodger's because he is our best option going forward! MVP MVP MVP! You don't toss the MVP! NO QB = Nuclear Winter for the Packers!
