If Love is seriously injured you could say it’s because he didn’t play in the preseason ( 3 plays isn’t enough) He was inaccurate and rusty. He cost them at least one touchdown, maybe two. That should have been a victory formation, not a mad scramble.
But to be fair, Love looked like he did against the 49ers. Ok on some plays, panicked under pressure and inexplicably missing easy throws. I think before you start measuring him against any future HOFer he needs to carve up a really good defense. Not an overhyped Dallas unit. Even when they got the running game going with Wilson and Jacobs , Love still wasn’t very good.

I am starting to have concerns about a few of these Packer players. I am thinking Quay Walker is not going to live up to his draft status. Is there any player on the team more disappointing than Jaire Alexander? We knew he couldn’t tackle, now it’s looking like he can’t cover either. I can hardly watch some of these idiots. Nixon makes a play, wags his finger like he's a superstar and promptly gets burned on the next play.
Alexander does some pushing ,shoving and running his mouth and then gets totally embarrassed the majority of the game. He was the main culprit in the loss ( on defense ) and going back to last season the Packers were better when he sat. It's noteworthy that these players are not exactly the smartest on the roster. Nixon's ill advised return, same for Alexander.. they both missed out on interceptions that would have changed the game. Maybe it's not the DC.. maybe any DC will look bad with this core group. On offense they just looked like they hadn't had a preseason. Is there something in the CBA that says they can't play more than a series? It was evident that Love was not ready, the o line was not ready, and Jacobs was rusty. The kicking game still sucks, but at least Gutekunst tried.
All in all it was a wasted opportunity. But for some reason I have trouble envisioning any defense with Walker, Alexander and Nixon as anything but a liability.

I have had concerns about Jaire for years now. Too small and bad tackling. Not overly impressed with Stokes either as a 1st rounder.
On the positive the few times Cooper on field he showed up. MLF, get him on the field full time quickly.
Love never looked comfortable the whole game. Wicks dissapointed though passes were not good to him. Felt Watson would have better game. DB's for Philly were very grabby especially Mitchell.
The biggest and most notable difference in game to me was how much bigger and better Philly was in the trenches on both sides of the ball. This was where the game was won. This has been Packers problem for years and particularly in the playoffs.
Emmanuel Wilson seemingly is under appreciated by coaches. He always performs! Love Kraft but where is Musgrave?
Puhlease Football God's! Let's have Love upright and healthy for week 2.

Your spot on. IMO Gutt isnt the great drafter people make him out to be.
1. Stokes has done nothing as a one pick and Alexander isnt far behind. both avoid contact at any costs and neither can cover the good receivers.
2. Walker and Wyatt werent the best players on D for Georgia either. They were made to look better then they were having some top defensive guys on that team who were the wreaking balls. Reminds me of Perry who looked great on a USC defensive line loaded with talent until he came here.
Lets put some blame on LeFleur who should have played the ones more to get used to a new defensive scheme. He didnt and it showed

I thought there was a lot of coaching errors. Play calling was atrocious. Why keep running the ball into the eagles middle defense. Got stuffed six times!!! Should've have run end arounds with reed and watson and tire out the Philly defense more!!! Multiple penalties with two men in motion, multiple other penalties that killed us in crucial times. Why wasn't cooper on the field the whole damn game!!!! That guy is wound up and a ball of energy!!!!! What took so long to get our rb's going? We got out=coached!!!!! Got to fix mental errors and penalties. Hope Love is ok. I thought his ankle got rolled. We'll see, he's got twelve days off. Barkley has killed this team his entire career. Hoping we don't have to face his again. This was a critical game! Our back-up had a deer in the headlights moment, hope he gets better. We may need to sign a veteran QB if Love has a significant injury!!!! One other thing, I noticed Philly's offensive line holding on every play and I mean every play. Why wasn't this called by the refs!!!!!

IMO its the packers play book philosophy of Lombardi. While this team works like hell to have that fullback body type running back, many teams like the Chiefs have those smaller but very fast and mobile backs they interchange to catch and run the ball.
Its like they are hell bent to run that ball down your throats rather then try and use speed and agility guys who are hard to catch, hard to cover aka KC.

What happened to the Good, Bad, & Ugly?
Here are mine.
The Super-Good=Reed. MVP of game. Need 21 more such efforts.
The Good, but not good enough=Hafley's defense, but only when compared to Barry. Great in spurts, esp picks. Wore down late. Needed stop.
Also NGE=Jordan Love. Clearly outplayed by Hurts. But hope to God he's not hurt. If so we've got more to worry about than L.
(Special mention NGE=WRs, except see above and Kraft ----- DROPS KILL!)
The Bad=3 TOS/ZERO TDs. Ball game.
The UGLY=Penalties! I lost track after #10. 100+ yds. Shot ourselves in BOTH feet.
The Harbinger of Doom (?)=new Kid missed from 43. We'd have lost anyway, but still................................................ 4 kickers so far. Are we back to square 1? Please, no. Better go on 4th. No, wait, we can't convert!
Got a week to clean all this $#@! up. Need good old-fashioned Packer Turnaround. GPG!
ps-OL better than I thought.

They are going to be a wildcard also ran with a defense that features Walker, Alexander and Nixon. Nixon lost his job as punt returner and a few more decisions like that he will lose the KO returner job. He fumbled his last good KO return and lost a fumble on his last punt return ( cost the NYG game)
It’s VERY hard to watch Alexander play. The self anointed captain is regressing in coverage, can’t tackle ( never could) and isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed. Too much extracurricular bs for a guy that honestly doesn’t play that well anymore.

Have not yet re-watched the game. But my first impressions were:
1. Narveson never missed. He hit 3 FG, 2XP, and 1 goalpost. Seriously, his kicks were generally strong, and straight. He seems to be a HUGE improvement over Carlson.
2. Hafley's defense showed big improvement over Dingle-Barry. But was inconsistent. Hopefully just growing pains.
3. Offense was a mess (except for Reed. Play calling was odd. Blocking was not great, and there were tons of penalties. Rasheed struggled. Love seemed off.
4. In H1, I thought the Jacobs signing was an expensive disaster. But he seemed like a different guy in H2.
5. I love RB Wilson. All he does is deliver whenever he is called on.
6. MIA: TEs, pass rush, OL, tackling.
IN GENERAL - the starters on O and D looked rusty / unprepared - perhaps because of a lack of playing time together in preseason. AND both units seemed to tire out late in the game.
