Your pressure gauge green and red colours are the wrong way round.
The "All gas no brake" mantra is tired, and only sometimes applicable. If you want to see that to a somewhat foolish extreme look no further than the Lions head coach.
You want a smart coach, then the mantra SHOULD BE, some gas, some brake, as applicable. Spouting memes doesn't get you to the wins you want.
If you want to fire LaFleur, you need to find someone who can do the job better. Last year (as you said) there wasn't a clear better alternative. Maybe after 2026, IF he fails to make the playoffs and IF it IS seen he is a major reason for the team failing, there might be a better alternative out there, I don't know at this time.
However, I suspect his seat isn't hot at this time. If the Packers fail to make the playoffs this year though, the heat will turn up quickly.

The big excuse last year was injuries. Obviously injuries to key players is a significant impediment. However, this offense has been lackluster overall since 2022. That’s despite an incredibly productive first year from Jacobs. We don’t sustain drives often enough or long enough. We scored only twice last year without at least one big play and we stall offensively far too often mid game. Defense and STs have been conservative and, for the most part our O is too, with a smattering of deep shots thrown in which we hope make a difference.
This is a well trodden road. There is individual talent. We have not changed the OL coaches. We have very similar personnel in fact on and off the field offensively. At some point the excuses run out. Our O is no longer comprised of green youth. They know the system. There really is no excuse for this offense not to showcase the supposed brilliant offensive mind LaFleur has so often been praised for.
If the O fails to be dominant this year there is no place to hide. The excuses are worn out. The progress is already overdue. If the D lets them down so be it, but if the O isn’t able to carry this team then there will be little to defend not moving on from its architect. This is LaFleur’s possibly last chance to prove we haven’t been sold a myth for these many seasons.

MLF is NOT a great HC. He's an overrated HC because his only successful season has been with Rodgers, and the premise that he achieved the playoffs because there are 7 spots is ridiculous, as it's only achieving the playoffs because the bar for entry was lowered by adding a spot. If another is added, is MLF still successful if he wins the 8th spot? No. You're diluting what success is to continue a false narrative.
The Packers are like the Cowboys under Jason Garrett, sure, more (ahem) playoff appearances with MLF, but still only left with false bravado and clapping for the better that just never arrives. Had the seventh spot not been added, the Packers would now be 4 seasons in, missing the playoffs. Would MLF have gotten that extension? I think not, and amazingly enough, the FO would have found a replacement, and the fans would be screaming again how great he is before doing or achieving anything great.

This may be an unpopular thing to say, but the Packers don’t seem to place enough emphasis on a player’s capacity for intellectual depth. In other words, when I hear a player like Golden speak to the media, he - as much as I admire his character and athleticism - doesn’t seem to have a whole lot going on in his head. I just heard an interview with Tampa Bay’s Emeka Egbuka, the WR they took in the first round of 2025 draft a bit ahead of Golden. He had a great year for a rookie, 938 yards with 6 TDs. Kind of what Packer fans had hoped for from Golden, but he fell far short of that because, reportedly, there were too many mouths to feed and he seemed to not be grasping and following through on his route running. Getting back to Egbuka, listening to him talk, he is well spoken and offers insights and self-observations that actually reflect a deep level of understanding of his play, his role on the team, and his jump in ability from college to the NFL. When I listen to interviews with Golden, he just sounds kind of… dumb. He isn’t the only one on the team who comes off this way either. While everyone is looking for excuses as to why the 2025 Packers fell apart in the fourth quarter, why stupid mistakes are made, the penalties, why they miss routes and assignments… all of this, despite the efforts of the coaching staff to coach them… it could in part be blamed on the players’s ability to absorb the information they’re being coached with. Successful NFL players like Marshawn Lynch aren’t exactly rocket scientists, but he was essentially just a battering ram. All of this is to say. That I wish the Packers would place a little more emphasis on the general smarts of a player coming out of college because there seems to be a direct relationship to their football smarts and their ability to transition well to the NFL.

The Packers don't value accountability-Drayton, Menenga, Barry, Bisaccia, MLF, Stenavich, Gutekunst.---MLF will not be held accountable for many years. They call it 'stability'.

Starting to come out of hibernation.
He is probably under no pressure unless Packers take a major step backwards - which is possible with all the changes and injury recovery questions.
But he should be!

Every season is the HC's most important season or at least it should be. Last season the excuse was the injuries. For the two prior seasons the excuse was we're the youngest team in the league but it was carried as a badge of honor for some reason. In any case MLF gets extended and the beat goes on. Lock up the 7th seed and keep your job. It's all good because the Packers have "title town district." Thanks, Since '61

Extensions don’t always look good in retrospect. That’s what you have a board for Mr Policy. Everything comes with some risk and a potential price.
If this season doesn’t go well offensively at least then “Is firing him even an option at that point?' I was a little bit shocked by that” will become the next “we are not idiots.”
The difference was that Murphy appointed you all and was in his swan song. Policy is not. If it goes badly we will find out if we have a true board or not, and thus if the Packers are truly protected against incompetence. It’s time for some accountability in this organization.

MLF is what he is. The Packers, under his guidance, are what they are. If you're pleased with this then you're content with his performance (like Policy). If you're not, then you hope for somebody better.
I quit watching them, I want something better.

Right there with ya - see nothing to the contrary year after year - almost getting the same vibes as the McCarthy era with a lot less proven uninjured talent. Similar tired excuses but invariably still end up watching 2 Super Bowl videos on You Tube from the color television era.

The seat is hot…and should be. I’ve lost the original enthusiasm I had for MLF.
Losing games to teams they had zero business losing, and ending the year with 5 losses; not to mention wilting in the playoffs, are huge red flags imo.
Win or else—that’s how I view this season and his future employment.

LaFleur is 36 games over .500, which is 31st all time, and 6th among active coaches.
Of the 30 ahead of him, 17 are already in the HOF. They will be joined by Belichick, Reed, Tomlin, and others.
His winning % is 16th on the all-time list, and 4th among active coaches. He has made the playoffs in 6 of his 7 seasons.

The negativity of the comments here is breathtaking. No enthusiasm for the season ahead - - and the season hasn't even started yet. Unbelievable entitlement.
America is turning into a bipolar country.....they want perfection, or it is a total disaster, with no nuance, no sliding scale, no evidence of the use of critical faculty, no balance. The reality is that things are not perfect (they never are) and they are not all bad, either, like some would have you believe. The Packers have a solid chance to go far, no guarantees, but a solid chance.
The boo birds are circling en masse over Lambeau field to add their "DOOMED" cries, so I've asked the Packers to break out their old 'punt gun'. With a bit of luck they could take down 50 in one shot. Fingers crossed.

LH—I believe I speak for many fans when I suggest the winning percentage you site does not reflect the expectations we had/have during his tenure.
As you have rightfully noted on many occasions, the offensive scheme has let down the defense too often—that’s on MLF—the “O” genius.

Why is it "on MLF" when Tom misses the last 5 games of the season? When Kraft misses the last half of the season? When Reed misses most of the season? When Jenkins misses half the season?
If people's expectations are that he'll be better than one of the all-time winningest coaches, then that's on them. People hated on McCarthy, too, and he'll be in the HOF.

You do know he’s been around for 7 seasons? This is not about 2025 but the cumulative outcomes since 2019 and repeated patterns of underperformance over that time and their tendency to increase not decrease.
That aside, since this is another moth-riddled kite that you like to trot out. Let’s debunk it once and for all. MM won the superbowl with the following players out. Note these were key pieces for the most part:
On IR:
Ryan Grant (Running Back): Suffered a season-ending ankle injury in Week 1.
Jermichael Finley (Tight End): Suffered a season-ending knee injury earlier in the year.
Nick Barnett (Linebacker): Missed the majority of the season with a wrist injury.
Mark Tauscher (Right Tackle): Played only four games before going on IR.
Morgan Burnett (Safety): Missed significant time on IR.
Brad Jones (Linebacker): Suffered a season-ending injury.
Justin Harrell (Defensive End): Lost for the season in Week 1.
Plus simply out:
Erik Walden (Linebacker): Inactive for the Super Bowl after suffering an ankle injury in the NFC Championship.Injured
Then, during the game:
Charles Woodson (Cornerback): Suffered a broken collarbone in the first half and could not finish the game.
Donald Driver (Wide Receiver): Knocked out of the game in the first half with ankle and knee injuries.
Sam Shields (Cornerback): Briefly left the game and played with a significant shoulder injury.
So we lost Wyatt, Tom, Kraft and Parsons. Sometimes your coaches have to do better, or have already done better with what’s behind. Moreover we didn’t get to the Superbowl like that team, we lost in the wild card game. During that game we imploded for the second time in weeks to the Bears, with multiple questions about coaching calls and tactics.
Are there anymore hollow excuses you can cone up with to excuse the results delivered under LaFleur? No, the injuries don’t rise to the level of a valid excuse for the end of last season or if it’s manner.

LH These are also facts. The Packers are 38-33-1 since 2021 which is 5 games over .500 for a.528 winning percentage. This includes their 1-3 playoff record since 2021. If the NFL does not change their playoff format the Packers only have 3 playoff appearances in MLF's 7 seasons. In spite of MLF's great coaching the Packers STs have been in the bottom third of the league during his entire tenure. Despite MLF's brilliant mind for offense the Packers were ranked 16th in the league in offense in 2025 his 7th season as an HC. In 7 seasons MLF has been through 3 DCs and 3 ST coaches. So much for his ability to identify quality coordinators.
How long does MLF get to live off of his first 3 seasons? Three seasons when he had Aaron Rodgers as his QB who had 2 MVP seasons. I don't see a great HC in MLF since Rodgers left. Plus he was ranked among the bottom 6 coaches in the league by the NFLPA based on feedback from his players after the 2025 season. The players feedback was that he does not have respect for his players. I can believe this since we had an article here at CHTV where MLF made a comment that he does not speak with his kickers. I responded to that reticle by asking if he does not speak to his kicker which others players does he not speak with?
Yes, MLF can turn things around this season but I don't have very high expectations that it will happen. Why? Because the last 4 seasons have shown us what type of HC he is. A slightly better than .500 coach without an HOF/MVP QB. He continues to make the same mistakes in preparing the team for their games and he continues to make poor in game decisions. His teams come out flat in many games, In other games they disappear for entire halves in too many games, They are undisciplined in terms of penalties and lack fundamentals. His clock management is bad, he makes questionable challenges, his play calls are predictable, his teams are not physical and he is often out coached even by first year HCs.
The bottom line is that MLF has survived this long because of the lack of accountability in the Packers organization. This has been a systemic problem for the Packers going back to the Mark Murphy era and his change in the team's management structure. For better or worse Gute should have been in charge of all football operations and he should have been allowed to hire his own choice for HC. There is no way we'll ever know if the Packers would have done better or worse if Gute was in charge of all football operations but at least the Packers would have a chain of command that was led by someone who was totally and only responsible for the football side of the organization.
The NFC North is going to be a bitter dogfight in 2026. I don't see any of the 4 teams being that much better than any of the other teams. All are capable of winning between 9-12 games. The division games are going to be particularly important this season. IMO the Packers need to play a higher level of physical football than they have shown for a long time, especially on both sides of the LOS. If they cannot win the LOS it's going to be a long season. Thanks, Since '61

I would add that our HC seemed behind our playoff exits even when MLF had AR12. 13 wins and getting to the NFCCG were great seasons and I said that at the time. Some people blamed our QB for everything bad and it's just impossible to tell how much of the problem was HC vs QB, but in the time since we've seen the same issues. I have to think that points to the HC, and I see no evidence he pressures himself to improve like he wants from his players.
Hopefully all that turns around this year ...

In the last 4 seasons LaFleur has a 40–30–1 record including the playoffs. Thats a 57% winning ratio. Hardly spectacular.
I pick that time period because it exceeds the average tenure of an NFL head coach generally while being a little over half of his.
Not much to shout about really. If that’s all you have it really speaks volumes. This trope is beyond tired and actually, no longer even superficially valid.

lol. A coach with a genuine and healthy QB and a decent roster makes the playoffs by the wild card and you think that’s validating? What’s his record once they have? This is the coach of a team that has not won its division for longer than every other team in it. That’s a fatuous defense of the man.

This is a tired argument and I think 61 put it beautifully. MLF is what's holding this team back because of a lot of deficiencies, however player management is one no one really talks about enough, imo. MLFs mismanagement of players and positions is unreal and I assume we only see a small part of what goes on behind the walls. He should be let go for that alone.
Also, LH's love and backing MLF is like nothing I've ever seen before. MLF has literally done nothing for the Packers in 7 seasons and there's no sign or confidence he's going to change that in year 8, but LH continues to defend and support him. It's like LH is on the Titanic and the ship is going down with the water at his ankles and he's still saying everything is ok and the ship is in great shape. Then the waters at his waist and he's still saying how great the ship is and everyone running for their life is crazy and they don't know how great a ship it is. Then the waters at his shoulders and he's still saying how great the ship is and how it's going to sail on through to the other side. It's a wild take imo.
I want to know what is going to be said when MLF finally gets fired. Will it be that we made the biggest mistake and all we needed was another year to make it to the Superbowl.
I mean the MLF HOF line was unbelievable.
By the way, I don't think McCarthy will be in the HOF, nor should he be.
Crazy stuff....
