Green Bay Packers linebacker Sam Barrington was fined by the NFL for his hit on Detroit Lions quaterback Matthew Stafford in Sunday's Week 17 game, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com:

Barrington was reportedly fined $16,537 after previously receiving a fine of the same dollar amount just two weeks earlier.

Lions running back Reggie Bush was also reportedly fined for his facemask of Packers cornerback Casey Hayward, sending both players crashing near a heater on the sideline.

That looked like a tackle. A hard one for sure, but simply a tackle. The NFL is getting to be absurdly strict regarding QB hits.
