The Packers, benefiting from the latest reporting date in the league, are beginning to sign their draft picks and now word comes from Tom Silverstein that Ryan Grant's deal is progressing.

No particulars are available yet, but it will be quite interesting to see the number of years they get from Grant and Brohm, especially in light of the specter of an uncapped year in 2010 hovering over the NFL's smallest market. While not a huge deal, I have no doubt that looming complication is causing more than a few hiccups in negotiations.
