The Good; Dillon, Watson, Nixon, Clark making some plays and beating the Bears.

The Bad: Both teams. Making the Bears actually look good in both sides of the ball for more than half a game.

The Ugly: those rushing to claim this somehow gives sense to a season built on fantasy and the spin that we are still in it.

The good, Dillon
, Quay Walker, Clark, Aaron Jones (tough guy) Nixon and Watson (hope stays healthy) Oline overall opened holes, pass blocked pretty well
The bad,
Campbell looked rusty, still like him, JA not a great tackler little overhyped, did recover to make key interception. no pressure from D to create sacks kind of concerns me.
The ugly:
Joe Barry and MLF not realizing Joe Barry is a terrible DC. sorry friendships aside you are coaching for your job and JB seems to go into every game in a dark closet. Hello McFly!

Team is only 5 & 8 and it has been 18 straight games without a Packer QB having thrown for 300 yards counting playoff game. This is with a QB who I believe counts for 22% of the Packers cap and whose QB stats this year is towards the bottom of the league. Yea, I think playing Love the rest of the way is certainly called for on so many levels.

FO - what other teams do you think that they are not getting value for their money - AZ, Indie, San Fran ( and the draft picks) Denver and Wentz, STop the bitching - I wish we were like the Bears eliminated from the playoffs so we could see Love in meaningful games. But I am not going to dump on a player for playing out the string - go to the Queens site - if you are going to spew this sttt

Oh Canada...(I truly love your anthem). I am not trying to be a pain and your definitely not the first...but why do you and some people try to lower the value of the Vikings by calling them the queen's? It is gender-biased whether you are aware of it or not. Now, I could be overly sensitive, but I will never get this angle...it is unfair to women whom I have met some in my life that could kick my butt in sports, are some of the strongest people I know and wiser than I.

I do sometimes wonder about the average age of commenters here. We get enough schoolyard name calling in politics. Don’t need it in football too.

Knock

I agree with your comments.

I also believe AR took advantage of some very unwise executives. Obviously AR is not worth what he is being paid and we are stuck with his awful contract for two more years.

Gute and Murphy should be replaced with experienced business executives..

We don't have to be stuck...others at CHTV may say otherwise, but I have done my research and it is very feasible to trade Rodgers next year. Plus, we could get some premier draft capital for him too.

Totally agree - which is why I want to see Love play 3 or 4 games against some teams - ie against the Vikes and the Lions and maybe down in Miami.
We need to know if he has the goods - and that will let us do one of three things

1 Trade AR and start Love after giving him his 5th year option
2. Let AR play next year and give Love the 5th year option ( only 19 mill ) and then let Love take over the following year.
3 Give Love the 5th year option and trade him for some picks - if he doesnt really show that he is the future.

There is no 4th option - ie letting him reach free agency - aka Trubisky.

There is a 4th option. Play Rodgers and trade Love next year and let some other team gamble. Not an option I like, or am for, but another option.

I bet they know more about Love in the building than we do out here. I think his future looks bright, but not this year, and don't want him to get hurt. A Viking or Lion game is not just something to throw away. If they think Love gives us a better chance to win, I'm for him playing. I'm not for in-season tryouts. Can't let either the Vikings or Lions sweep us. Can't give them ammo for years to come.

We need to see what we have in him before we make a decision on him. 9 snaps isn't enough; hopefully this coaching staff does the best thing for the Packers in the long term and give Love significant snaps, hopefully starts, in our final 4 games.

Maybe not but you noticed their record you forgot to mention Rodgers interceptions
300 ydsphew
Balance is the name of the game and the packers are building it

Good: Rogers is finally running more of LaFleur's offense. Saw some well set up plays out of motion.

Bad: Jaire Alexander. Even though he got the game clinching interception, in my opinion, he is still is not playing anywhere near what the Packers are expecting of him. Personally speaking, if he would just shut up and quit showboating I might be a little more accepting of his level of play. You are the highest paid corner in the NFL. Cover and tackle like it.

The Good : Zach Tom. Doing a very impressive job for a rookie. Also the fake to Watson to seal the game--brilliantly executed all around.

The Bad: Situational offensive football from the QB flinging deep balls when they're not called for. This will hopefully change when Love gets in there.

The Ugly: Broadcaster Schlereth applying the jinx: "...We're seeing Justin Fields just grow as a quarterback throwing the ball...."--right to Alexander on the next play!

This will hopefully change when Love gets in there.? This team won't tank just because you want to see Love.
It's Rodger's doing Game Management. Stretching the field is why you want fast Wrs.
Bart Starr threw the Ball on a 4th and 1. And Nobody bitched about that. Favre did it too.
Should the Packers go after another speedy WR? Yes- every draft. Even if it's another MVS.

Watson said he ran the wrong route/adjustment on a few plays when Rodgers had to hold the ball longer and threw the ball away. I want three TEs drafted in the spring and two WRs. Trade down in the first to gain more picks.

I have to admit, I was critical of the pick around week 8 or 9. I was proven very wrong, he very well could be the best receiver from the 2022 draft class

The Good: The ongoing development of Christian Watson, Zach Tom. Will be fun to watch Watson work the rest of the season and even better to see what he could do with a FULL Training Camp and weight room. I included Tom here because he started and I didn’t notice him in a bad way at all. That’s impressive as that is a tough position for a young player.

The bad: Play calling. 3rd and 1 they throw a long pass. 3rd and 15 we throw to Tonyan short!? Also, not challenging the Dillon down by contact spot.

The Ugly: The defense has no pass rush without Rashan Gary and broke down on some big Bear runs. Our defense stinks. The Bears stink worse.

Well in fact, the Bears still suck, they really, really suck!

Not challenging that was unbelievable. Once again the coaching staff holds this team back. Could you imagine that happening in a playoff game? There's a shit ton of coaches up in the booths and NO ONE says, hey LaFleur, throw the red flag?

Just when I thought I couldn't think less of this entire staff.

Nick. They can't challenge down by contact. If they hadn't called it down, it could have been challenged. Which is what they should have done. They have to make that play stand or the players will continue hitting after the whistle.

Good: We beat the Bears!
Bad: vikings eked out a win, in the final seconds of their game, with the Jets, by an INT off the Jets QB
Ugly: NFL rules regarding broadcasting Packers games

"Ugly: NFL rules regarding broadcasting Packers games." 3 out of the last 4 weeks the game was not shown here in Tucson (exception: the Philly debacle, thanks for that one, lol). One week the Packers noon game was not shown (AZ Cardinals didn't play until 3pm) and Fox rolled out an 60% rotten tomato movie from 2003 instead. I've had to watch the game later on NFL Rewind. NOT ideal as a fan. :(

The Good- A win over the Bears; Watson, Dillon, Nixon ,Lazard; the Bears Still Suck.; the Bear bench with their faces that Rodgers is doing it to us again and helples looks.
The Bad: Alexander( he did redeem himself though), So many plays running wide, empty backfield, milking the clock down so much even when time is a factor; The Bears Still Suck.
The Ugly: The Bears Still Suck, some of the Packers play in the 1st half.

The Good- Watson. Toure for 7 yds. Dillion.
The bad- Defense first 1/2.
The Ugly - Ref No calls.
Cobb and Watkins didn't catch a pass. At least they blocked. But the writing is on the wall.

Always great to beat the Bears. Packers D still suffers from having the worst starting Def tackles in the league. KC can be a beast, but its tough to beat consistent dbl teams. Gute has to figure out how to draft quality DL.

Good: o line protection and run blocking. Third game in a row they did their jobs, a win, comeback from behind, Bears not passing much against our pass d.
Bad: tackling, alexander's pay and play. Walker being confused.
Ugly: 2 interceptions and a fumble giving Barry life.

Just another bad: does anyone else wonder what happened to Robert Tonyan, they throw short screens to him and it dawned on me finally he is a converted player basketball? anyone? This season have noticed him never breaks a tackle, he plays TE like a QB out in front on a block just not a beast. Maybe knee is holding him back but enough with screens seam passes from 2 years ago is his game. Kittle he is not, maybe time to upgrade.

Most definitely time to upgrade the TE position. I’d argue that going into the season it was as much a need as the WR room particularly given the time it takes a rookie to develop into a viable TE.

Didn’t get to watch the game because of the local squad being on at same time. But from the broadcast: Good: Watson, jAs pick to seal the win. Bad: sounded like the Thumb was bad. Passes going high on many occasions. Thought that perhaps the backup might have been more effective not just to see what he’s got but for his mobility and perhaps accuracy. Ugly: eking out a win versus a bad bears team at the end. Losing several draft spots that could have been converted to another TE or WR…

Good: Definitely A.J. Dillon. A hard working effort did not go unnoticed. Aaron summed it up excellent. Other mentions would be Christian Watson, OL Pass Protection, and Matt LaFleur.

Bad: Some Rodgers mistakes. Bad throw to Randall Cobb on the sideline. Throwing it deep to Lazard on a 3rd and 1. Missing an open Watson on a crossing route in the red zone. Rodgers definitely made some great throws and was a huge factor in winning the game but I expect better from the 4xMVP.

Ugly: 3rd Down Defense. Too many times the defense gave up big plays to the Bears. Jaire Alexander getting burned long twice looked very ugly. It's not something you want to see multiple times a game from your best corner against receivers that he calls "scrubs".

The Good: Watson, Dillon, Clark, Nixon, Rodgers, Zach Tom, play call for Watson's end around.

The Bad: MLF calling long passes with Rodgers playing with a broken thumb. Alexander getting beat on some deep passes. Campbell looks like he returned too early.

The Ugly: Officiating, terrible down by contact call by the officials. Watson was held on nearly every play but the officials let it go.

MLF is already making his case for Rodgers to return for 2023. Here we go again. Thanks, Since '61
