The Good ~
Defense ! and the today's star of the D, Krys Barnes, he was on fire today!
Yes it was a loss but it was a non-conference away game loss. From a win/loss priority prospective it's one click away from a preseason game. So if we had to lose a game it would be exactly this type with minimal impact to the overall record.

The Bad ~
**Matt LeFleur refused to believe they would keep blitzing and never adjusted to head it off. Matt added to Love's hardship play as a result.
**Jordon Love - I really thought he had more game in him, I thought he would show some spark and pull off some plays that would command some respect for his ability. We got none of that. Zero spark with his play, He seemed flat, or just lost at times, like a fill in with no command of the offense and seemed to be oblivious to reading the defense. He's just not a "gamer", Gamer's make things happen or go down swinging. He's not there. From what I saw, he's not our guy and I don't think that will change.

The Ugly ~
Ugly does not scratch the surface.
Do I really need to say it? I don't want to say it again and you know what's coming, "Dumpster Fire, train wreck, tsunami aftermath" Special Teams. You did it, made me go and say it. The special teams coach has to be fired, I want his head to roll.

Well Mr Blood. As someone who has a differently abled child and has worked with many of them in many other capacities , maybe I have a perspective that realizes words do matter in many cases . People are hurt and vilified by such terms . Maybe it is a lack of ability to use words that is the issue . Maybe it is part of the problem of why metaphorically at least maybe the Earth's axis has tilted on some level. If you want to criticize the coach fine thousands of better words is all or is your vocabulary that limited is all , Mr Nitschke and Mr Blood and all those critics who ultimately just sound so self righteous . Words actually do matter my friend! You can see how when the tears flow from a child's eyes. Sorry.

Wait wait wait, MLF talked about he "didn't totally lean into the running game"? Aaron, how could that be? I thought it was Aaron Rodgers sole fault for the Packers not running the ball enough? Constantly checking out of running plays. Playing hero ball. Padding stats. Now I am questioning your credibility..

To be fair, Corey and Aaron said the same thing on the watch party - that they always thought it was AR.

So now we have to question whether MLF can call a game without AR there to 'fix' it.

Good: Defense without Clark, Stokes, Z Smith, Alexander. Lots of guys flying to the ball; Barnes, Gary, and Campbell again playing well. For all the Barry haters from week #1, defense improves every week and players getting comfortable with the scheme. After week #1, Defense has allowed an average of 17 points a game.

Bad: LaFleur with no adjustments for blitzing. Poor 3rd down play calls; Why stop running the ball/ again. Where were the screens, play-action, misdirection to help Love in his 1st NFL start.

Ugly: Special teams-two missed field goals, fumbled punt, ball hits player on punt return to give KC 3 points
This was a winnable game, though I would rather take a loss to an AFC team. Bakhtiari should be back for Seattle, and then its Vikings, Rams, Bye. Packers could be 10-2 coming out of the bye.

The good: Dominating performance by Barnes and Campbell, AJ Dillon running like a wildebeest, Jordan Love while not being pressured, the defense as a whole.

The bad: offensive game plan after two quarters of Love being annihilated by blitz and no adjustments being made with hot reads to elude the pressure, more injuries to star players including Clark and a pre-game injury to Stokes, really? In the pre-game warm ups???? This team is cursed.

The ugly: the entire special teams unit from returners, to coverage units, the new long snapper, Bojo holding and Crosby with another two misses, both attributed to bad holds and one attributed to awful blocking, which leads me to say Lucas Patrick and Royce Newman have no place on this offensive line. Both let guys run free at Love multiple times throughout the day. What a shameful performance by those two, and I'm not just talking about the blitz plays. I can't wait for them both to be off of the field after that performance. Give me our starting lineup of Bakhtiari, Jenkins, Myers, Runyan and Turner back, please.

Agree with all of this except the kicking game... didnt Favre completely let go of a field goal kick and the kicker still got it through the uprights? The ball always sails left... it isnt a holder problem, its a Mason Crosby problem.

The good.... coach owned he was the problem...a championship coach has an answer for a blitz pkg we saw tonight...release a TE, which we did 2wice very successful......however we didn’t continue to make them play true...coach owned it ...I’m happy...also goes without saying THE D....wow!
The bad....coach not having an answe for the blitz pkg they dialed up...you have to know it is coming, with a new QB...really?of course they are going to blitz....you cannot have a same game plan you would with12....
Also Mason does not miss,hmmmm...ST
The ugly.....see above
We should have won...we gave them one with a foot touch on ST and missed 2 FG...
We need to seriously address these problems....if we want to be Champs

The bad - LeFlowers game plan. Now we know how much Rodgers changes the plays to counter LeFlower not knowing didley
The Ugly - Not so special teams. Blame the coach. Either they can long snap and place a football in the right position or they cant.

Gonna get hate for this, but 12 deserves to be in the "Ugly" category this week for all of the bullsh*t he put the franchise through because he decided that he knew better than the medical community, not to mention putting himself out of commission for this game when he otherwise might have been able to play even with the positive COVID-19 diagnosis. He plays and the Packers easily win this game.

Love goes in the "Bad," but I agree with Matt that he didn't do much to help him succeed and the embarrassing offensive effort mostly falls on the head coach. I'm not ready to make a determination on Love's viability - it's only one game in a very tough road environment that he had little time to be prepared for - but he clearly needs refinement. Special Teams were absolutely atrocious, and I think Gute can be thrown in the "Bad" category for releasing Hunter Bradley in the middle of the week. The early returns of the Joe Barry experiment are quite good, quite to my surprise this year - what a performance from that unit.

spot on AR lost this game for the pack. Continues to believe he is bigger than the team.
Good or should I say great was defense: nobody has been more of a critic over last 7-8 years. They played great, still no believing in King just doesn't get it playing soft coverage. TJ Slaton pretty dam good, Barnes has talent, Campbell just brings it

Bad MLF run the ball, AJ Dillon should have bring carrying the mail you pull him out when you get in red zone. Screen game where did that go? short quick passes over the middle all night was open

Ugly: easy Special Teams or not so special, the fumble on punt is just unforgiving cost them the game.

With defense getting better you are in great position still tough road ahead run the ball you have a power game sets up the pass.

Though I dont agree with some of the statements that Arod made especially that " I' Am immunized part". The Part to place him in ugly is what i have problem with even if was vaccinated he would've missed a week since he got tested +ve on wednesday. If you dont agree see how much time all of our covid reserve players missed including Adams.

The Team and the NFL knows that he is not vaccinated and it's his body he can choose what ever he want to do btw i dont agree with some of his points mentioned though.

There were quite a few good and quite a few bad and one self-evident ugly - most of which have been covered. But I'll re-visit the Bad - with 2 that first come to mind:
1. The injury to Clark and a back injury no less. The D-line isn't that great to start with but without Clark it drops a full level.
2. I'm hearing MLF too many times state that he has to coach better. How hard is it to make adjustments to protect your QB? Also there was an 80% chance that KC was going to going to blitz the hell out of Love. Certainly the game plan was inadequate in this regard. For anyone with Coach Of The Year Ballots - you may want to consider this game before voting.

While I do think the Packers, starting with MLF, probably did not have enough time to pivot the gameplan effectively and get both Jordan Love and the fresh-off-the-covid-list WRs up to speed over just 3 days, anytime a coach says "I need to do a better job" after a loss, you have to take it with a grain of salt, too.

It's somewhat coach speak, and somewhat just plain old fashioned leadership- you take accountability and shoulder the brunt of the loss to deflect criticism from your guys- even if execution was the problem, not the gameplan. You fall on the sword publicly, and privately, you go into the week and grade the tape, chew out the boys for blown plays, make corrections, and move on.

The team works harder for the guy who takes the public heat off of them. It's the same in any organization.

But yeah.. In this case, I'm guessing they didn't handle the short time table to make drastic gameplan changes very well. :)

I think you're right about the coach speak. But I also judge a coach on how they make in-game adjustments - especially at the half. Today, I saw none. Whatever Love's QB rating was - the Head Coach rating was lower.

I expect a coach to have a set of plays drawn up and practiced for his back up QB. LaFleur clearly did not and we know Love practiced with none of the main skill players in preseason. He did have his favorite preseason target active, but Taylor got no offensive snaps. Another common tool to help settle a new QB ignited to be added to a Rodgers like game plan that never adjusted.

Agreed that this is Love's first game but most of his throws were not accurate and the Wr's had to adjust to make the catch. Given it is his first game and oline leaking all day I don't rate it bad but i wouldn't call it a good game either.

Being a "glass half full" type of person I'm refraining on unloading on either ST or anything that won't be resolved once players return. People have already flagged Barnes as having a great game, Love being inconsistent and MLF calling a stinker of a game, so it'd be boring rehashing these too.

Good: I'm going to give honorary mentions to Slatton and Lancaster who did a pretty good job holding the defensive point of attack in Kenny Clark's absence. They kept constricting the pocket and got pressure most of the time.

Gooder: Darnell Savage, who played a really good containment game and was a great tandem with Amos (who's a model of consistency)

Goodest: AJ Dillon and A Jones. The yards after contact from these pair was impressive. Sure, we all love to see splash plays going to the house, but these guys were even more impressive given the yards that they got in light of the box being stacked most of the game.

Granted that the plan and o-line play never gave Love the opportunity but I fully expected to see some long ball attempts to MVS. In the TEN\LAR game, they schemed some 0-line sweeps to the right and stafford to the left in order to give him some time to throw deep (as he too was under pressure a fair bit). Maybe one for MLF to consider for Love and also ARod when the Buccs try and repeat this (in the playoffs).

MLF was bad. Really bad. As awful a game plan as I can remember. Not one catch for Jones? Insanely stupid! With all those defenders barreling down on Love he could have eaten them alive with screens. With all his wins sometimes MLF just come across as clueless.

Love was not impressive. His throws are wobbly. His accuracy and judgement questionable. And he either didn’t have the option of Calling an audible or wasn’t good at reading the defenses because if MLF wasn’t going to call for the obvious screen then he should have.

Ugly game by the offense. Seven points against one of the worst defenses in football. All those who think this team is crap without Rodgers we’re just given the proof they need.

Oh shit……I agree with Nagler. This time anyway. Super fan/GM/wanna be host of this dismiss Barnes from day one. Maybe Nagler thinks Barnes was the #12 overall pick and one trick Gary was a free agent. By the way boss, one trick Gary never met an edge he could set. Gary….in baseball terms he’s a .250 hitter, 100 plus strikeout 25 home run guy. Sometimes I think Nagler must owe Jace and Gary money so they could do no wrong

I guess I've just come to expect that special teams are going to suck so hard that it doesn't even phase me anymore. I half expected to see news of a coordinator firing this morning. But of course... no.

Anyhow. Maybe I'm most disappointed with the O-line and pass pro in particular. The Chiefs kind of suck at rushing the passer (19th in total pressures, 13 in pressure percentage, second-last in sacks), but in this game it seemed like every dropback was a jailbreak, usually right up the middle. Obviously, ARod would have handled the pressure better than Love, but the o-line didn't do Love any favors.

Bad- The protection was the worst I have seen it, not even counting the blitzes. Love had a guy in his lap on several plays and could really not even roll out on bootlegs. Love wasn't good either but he was not protected or given much help in his first start. Royce Newman was not good.

Ugly-Special Teams- kicking game was not even at an NFL level.
The Amari Rodgers experience is wearing on me too.

The good: The defense! Despite constantly leaving the middle of the field wide open (WTF) they managed to hold KC and Mahomes to just 13 points with a lot of huge pieces lost to injury.
The bad: MLF, the other offensive genius back in GB with CoVid, and Gutey. The play calling was horrendous and Jordan Love does NOT look like the future.
The ugly: I'm not even sure that ugly accurately describes the ST's. What's even more ugly is that the Packers have been ignoring ST's for years, always picking up bargain-basement coaches and refusing to pay the good ones.

The Ugliest... LMAO... You let Hunter Bradley go FOR THAT DUDE???? Bradley may not have been the best, but Holy Shit Batman!!

Note... There HAS to be a ST coordinator somewhere, ANYWHERE, on the street MLF can bring in for the rest of the season. I KNOW that sounds drastic but when your ST suck THAT BAD, drastic measures MUST be taken.

Good: Packers tackling (When's the last time that was good?)

Bad: Love's loved-ones' seats. That's not a good look for Love, who is making over a million bucks this year.

Ugly: Offensive gamelan. Too many seven-step drops, long receiver routes, "shotgun empty" plays and too few quick, short passes, screens, and "hot receivers" on blitzes.

G: Krys Barnes is the new Butkus.

B: Rodgers is making Kyrie Irving look like a good, responsible role model in comparison.

U: The "big haul" the team is going to get for Rodgers after the season is shrinking by the second.

Is AR gonna label everyone as woke? No one is defending him anywhere. Ex players , commentators, everyone. You do everything to stay on the field, and Rodgers listens to fucking joe rogan???!!!!! REALLY? I'm willing to bet Favre is vaccinated, and would have gotten vaccinated if he were playing.

Good: Joe Barry’s defensive game plan.
Bad: Hackett/MLF’s game plan
Ugly: Does Mo Drayton even have a plan, let alone game plan?

Good: Our defense came to play. Especially Kris Barnes. Allen Lazard had a pass thrown to him and he scored a TD on that play! We had a chance to win the game but Love's INT to the KC defender over Davante, blew that for us. The vikings lose again, in OT. Their OT period caused Packer fans to miss the first half of the first quarter, but in this one case, I did not mind, as their loss put them at 3-5, in the NFC North. They will soon be 3-6. Enough of them! GO PACK, GO!!!

Bad: We got away from the run game, again. Dillon and Jones were running well for us, again. Love's inaccuracy on his passes to his receivers. When we know the blitz is coming and we do not have a safety valve play set up for Love. Where were the screen passes on those blitzes? Mahomes was not having a great day, again. We could have and should have won this game.

Ugly: STs! I cannot blame Crosby for missing both FGs. Gotta be on Bojorquez mishandling the snap and placement. Muffed punt. Terrible plays on Kick Returns. Amari Rodgers must catch the ball on that fair catch. If he catches the ball, it does not hit Malik Taylor's foot and get recovered by KC. Amari muffed a another catch, as well. Maybe move someone else into that role. Too bad Kylin Hill is done for the season. With all the national media focusing on Aaron Rodgers and his Covid issues, I wonder how he will play once he comes back? The spotlight on him will be huge. Not looking forward to a butt hurt Rodgers playing poorly just to spite everyone because his feelings were hurt.

This one practically writes itself.

G: Barnes and the D
B: The O, including MLF's play-calling.
U: STs (Is it too early to question whether Amari Rodgers was a good pick?)

GPG.

Drayton is historically inept tactically and apparently out of his depth in design. He needs to be replaced now. Pull someone from retirement if necessary, regardless of cost. Coaches are not included in the cap.

I'm gonna add lazard's score to the good, for that nice run to get us on the board..

And ugly to all the negativity on our QBs, coaches, players. Put this game in context...we are banged up still missing players..we started our young back up quarterback..and played the chiefs. Granted the chiefs aren't doing as well as last year but considering it was in kc with mahomes it was a close game.

Our team still has heart..wish some of our fans still did!

Good: I was wrong. Defense seems legit if it doesn't collapse from too many injuries
Bad: Love's accuracy
Pathetic: ST

Packers might have a legit shot this year with bun boy back, and getting healthier on both sides.

The Good (bordering on GREAT) --- AJ Dillon. Kid's got a lot more than awesome thighs!
The (not so Bad) --- Jordan Love. Haters aside, we did NOT lose game because of J Lo.
The Ugly --- Problem? Obvious! Solution? New Coach! Suggestion? Maybe Ron Zook is still out there somewhere. Couldn't be any worse.

Good: Defense was solid, hopefully we can get rid of this injury bug soon and return Z and Jaire. Hope Kenny Clarks injury isn’t too serious, haven’t heard much.

Bad: Although there was alot of pressure on Love, I thought he would have played a bit better. He had some good moments but his accuracy was definitely not there.

Ugly: What else is there to say, Special Teams were a total disaster. This has to be cleaned up very soon.

GPG and take it out on Seattle.
