The offense coming back from 2 scores down to take the lead and ST’s returning yardage
The Bad DB Douglas getting torched especially at the end of the first half
The Ugly: poor defense plan unable to stop the Eagles QB and RB

The good: Nixon on kick returns, JA, Hollins FA, oline was pretty good on run blocking and pass blocking, although the stats say blowout the guys showed some backbone. Thats a 40-14 game not 7 point difference
The bad, Joe Barry showed up to coach, Rasual Douglas is falling back to earth pretty fast, really miss Campbell, Gary not a lot of pressure.
The Ugly
Joe Barry and his lack of adjustments, so much for vaunted defense think Hurts is still running this morning. felt like this when Colin Kaprenick ran wild few years ago. No answer, MLF you need to address this in offseason, Joe you are not the answer.

The only reason to keep Joe Barry as DC is if you have sights set on a top 10 pick in the next draft.

Probably why he hasn't been fired already. MaLF's mailperson could easily out-coach Barry.

i would have had Joe Berry put a spy on Jalen Hurts if I were the head coach. The more I see Joe Berry coach the more I think he's not too bright.

It seems pretty obvious that Barry DID spy Hurts. But that doesn't make much difference when the player who is supposed to be "the spy" isn't even coming close to getting the job done. Lookin' at you, Quay Walker...

On Hurts' first big run, Walker totally whiffed on the tackle. Walker pretty much just threw himself to the ground while grabbing nothing but air.

On Hurts' second big run, Walker got completely swallowed by the center. Admittedly, there wasn't a Packers D-lineman anywhere to be seen, and the Eagles center is a four time all-pro, but Walker got totally eliminated from the play.

On Hurts' third big run, Walker made a horrible read and ran himself completely out of the play.

That was something like 100 yards of rushing right there.

I still like Quay Walker and believe he can be a solid piece in this defense, but this was absolutely positively not one of his better moments EVER on a football field.

To think one his best traits coming in was his "Sure Tackling" abilities!

Think he needs Campbell as the one still to give himself more free looks. They didn't seem worried about Barns.

The good:
-The offense kept pace, for the most part and answered quickly and decisively when they went down by 2 scores in the first 6 minutes.
-The running game was actually better than anticipated, especially against that stout front.
-Kesian Nixon is the best returner we've had since Micah Hyde. Don't understand how it's taken 6 years to finally find someone who can return and I really don't understand why it took so long to get Rodgers off of the field.
-Christian Watson is a menace and he could be a serious mismatch for years to come.
-33 points on offense, who would've guessed the Packers would score over 30 in Philly. Shame the defense couldn't stop a bloody nose with a tampon shoved in both nostrils.
-Justin Hollins chasing down Hurts for a sack was a thing of beauty. We've missed that kind of speed on the defense since Gary got hurt.
-There were some really nice plays made on both sides of the ball today.

The bad:
-Jordan Love played admirably given the situation but let's be honest. His TD to Watson was all Watson and he missed Lazard breaking open big time behind Slay on that rollout to the right. Would've been an easy touchdown. Still too early to see what we have.
-Another missed kick by the special teams. Long snapper seems like he's pushing a lot of the snaps left too.
-More injuries on defense. I'm surprised there's anyone healthy left to play.
-Rasul Douglas needs to stop being so grabby with his receivers. When I saw a flag on the play he got nabbed for holding on, I didn't see him whatsoever but when the announcers said it came from the secondary I knew damn well it was on him and it was a hold. He's a zone corner and plays great in zone but when they ask him to man up, he constantly gets beaten.

The ugly:
-It almost seems as if every good play the Packers make, is followed immediately by a terrible one. It's impressive.
-That no-call tackle of Randall Cobb before the ball got there was a huge miss. I was at the game against the eagles in 2019 where MVS got bear hugged before the ball got to him and never had a chance to catch it. It was almost a carbon copy when I saw the replay of that and Love should've had another opportunity, 1st and goal. Who knows what would've happened.
-Do I even need to say it? The defense. This was an all-time-low performance. Simply pathetic. 500 yards overall and over 350 yards given up on the ground. That 3rd and 14 where Alexander was playing 15 yards off, was one of the worst plays I've seen in a long time. If that's a result of Barry's coaching, he needs to go. How many times do we have to see a guy catch a quick pass and run 10 yards upfield untouched for a first down? Idk who is at fault anymore but someone has to figure out how to use the pieces we have and use them to their strengths. Barry is not the guy.
-Turnovers on offense, two really bad interceptions. One on the first drive of the game on their side of the field and a second in opposing territory and in scoring position, sheesh. The Packers are turnover machines this year.
-I can't even count how many missed tackles I saw today. I get it, it's not easy tackling guys like Sanders and Hurts. But what I saw for the most part was simply inexcusable for professional football players.
-Aaron Rodgers injury. He's a tough SOB, I don't care what anybody says. But a strained oblique coupled with a broken thumb it might be time to shut him down for the season.

Well,

This season was an absolute rollercoaster but it's finally time to admit that it's over. A turbulent mix of so many different emotions. With the Packers officially being eliminated from playoff contention, most of the starting defense being hurt and missing time, Aaron Rodgers possibly facing a season ending IR trip and the possibility of this being the last time Aaron Rodgers suits up as a GBP, I can say it's been a fun ride. Some of the best football in the history of the league was played by the hands of that man and it's sad to know it might finally be coming to an end, but nothing lasts forever. With a bulk of the starting roster on expiring contracts after the end of this year, there's going to be a lot of moving pieces and I can only hope that Gute has the ability to keep the team somewhat competetive until we know for sure who our QB of the future will be. It's been a long time since I've had to say this, but there's always next year. 😔

On to the next one.

So you put Love in the Bad because he missed one pass to Lazard???? Some people are never going to forgive this kid for getting drafted.

I'm not giving Love a bad grade. I'm giving the overreaction to his presence a bad grade. People are claiming he's the next HOF QB after that TD but he has a long way to go.

Jordan Love played a a solid "GOOD" last night.
Spin it any way you want, one thing Love didn't do was play a "BAD" game by any stretch of the imagination.

Again I didn't say Love played deservingly of a "bad" grade. I'm saying he missed a few opportunities, which is to be expected and it's okay, but our overreaction to him being "the future" after what we saw is maddening. He played well given the circumstances, which I said originally.

Even if Jones caught that ball he was coming down out of bounds. It was a nice throw but Jones is 5'9". That was only going to be a completion to someone who was 6'3"+

MaLF may be smarter than I gave him credit for...

Keep Barry through the end of the season to ensure a better draft pick. Fire him now and we likely win 4 of our last 5 games, which only hurts us. Lol

The day after the season ends, Barry needs to be gone. Period.

G: Nixon is an exciting return man; both RBs ran the ball hard and figured into the pass game as well, a glimpse of Watson's explosive speed, Love looked ready to be called upon, Rodgers's TD throw to Jones and overall gutsy effort.

B: The run D, and D coordinator "Joe Barely Cares".

Good: drafting ninth as it stands. Could draft in top 3. Retain Barry and make it so. Might be able to turn that pick into multiples for the rebuild. Good to finally see a kick returner get more than twenty yards not just once but multiple times. Not hearing the name Watkins at all. Dillon taking snaps near the LOS not the shotgun. Jones used as a WR. Could he be kept as a WR for 2023/24 rather than RB? His cap hit will be more justifiable and I suppose could be modified with an extension: Watson, Doubs, Jones, Toure, a cheap veteran FA or Lazard, and a second or third round draftee?

Bad: having to wonder who pulled QB12 from the game- GM12 or the HC. Not hearing the name Toure. Waiting to see if Brady retires or if AR12 will be here yet another year.

Ugly: just missing out on the 1950 NFL rushing yards surrendered record. The season in general. Standing one loss away from picking ahead of the Bears. Being in the same tier of teams as Houston but with salary cap concrete galoshes. You are what your record and accounting sheet says you are.

Let the tear down begin. The Ring of honor and HOF awaits QB12.

I'm going to disagree with the vast majority of these comments and the video.

Good: Barry switched to single high safety quickly and had Walker spying Hurts all game long. The scheme was good, players in positions to make plays all game long. Love looked decisive and accurate. Our run game was good. 2 D stops in a row on 3rd and 4th downs, leading to a 1 pt lead after being down 13-0. The offense overall. Every return by Nixon other than his first.
Bad: Walker. Walker. Walker. D line (other than Preston Smith). Alexander not playing up to his (highest paid DB in NFL) salary. Nixon's first kickoff return.
Ugly: The entire D, missed tackles for loss turning into huge gains all game long. Couldn't slow down the run, couldn't cover on passes (though Hurts had all day to throw and receivers to get open).

I can't fault Barry's scheme at all due to having players in the right positions to make plays all game long. Nothing he can do about players whiffing on tackles or getting blown off the line. Our lack of talent on D is the problem, not Barry.

Yeah that was my take, too. Can’t make chicken salad out of chicken shit. All those picks on D and this is what we get? Guys who take years to develop, guys who get hurt, guys who can’t tackle, guys who can’t figure out where to go, guys who get pushed around….

I just hope we don’t get do-over drafts like we did back then. Replace defensive duds from one draft with new duds won’t cut it.

Gutekunst’s picks on O look a little better. He should make more of them.

The good .. Love played decently, Dillion ran with attitude. Nixon and Ford play with energy.
The bad, Gutekunst draft picks laying all over the field with tire marks on their jerseys.
The ugly: the future of this franchise with Gutekunst and MLF in charge.

gutekunst is playing with a hand tied behind his back. all this goes back to murphy and his power move to take over football operations. aaron would be stinking in Denver if gutey ran the football ops. re-signing rodgers was a short timer's move, and the only short timer is Murphy. all-in. sucks for the future.

The Good: K. Nixon, Dillon, A. Jones, P. Smith, Watson, Ford

The Bad: Run defense, Walker, Amos and the Packer coaching staff.

The Ugly: 363 rushing yards allowed. Too many missed tackles. Amos had a bad game. Douglas beaten badly a few times. Rodgers injury.

Jordan Love came in and made some good decisive throws.
Maybe we will finally see him get some regular action for the remainder of the season. Thanks, Since ‘61

Ok, it was a horror show.

The Good: Aaron Jones wasn’t bad. Jordan Love performed well in his limited play. Watson becoming a weapon must continue.

The Bad: My God the defense. We have spent multiple high level picks and free agents and this is what we get. Barry needs to go because we can’t fire them all. However, it is much deeper than firing Barry. Also, LaFleur needs to be criticized here as well. Why is this still a major weakness.

The Ugly: The defensive players QUIT. Tired? Bullshit. The “tackling” was a joke. How many plays were run right up the gut for 7 or 8 or more yards. Dean Lowry? Kenny Clark? They get big money. Were these guys at the game last night? Really you can say the same about ALL of our “defensive” players. Disheartening.

My takes:
Good- Nags is never wrong [!] --- it is Jordan Love. Best he's looked since he joined Pack. Could he beat Bears? Let's find out. What have we got to lose now?
Bad - time to take on the best team in the league on road.
Ugly- You CANNOT give up 7 point with 13 seconds left in the 1st half and then totally waste the best KO return we've had FOREVER with a quick 3 and out at the start of the 2nd half.
Can't overcome that.

The Good: Watson. Love, Ford, Nixon , team didn't give up( on offense), the D did have a few short yardage stops.
The Bad: 12's play- interceptions, no complimentary ball, penalties.
The Ugly: the entire defensive effort- coaching, scheme, out of position, tackling, just a porous defense.

Good: As someone who has been very vocal about my support for Love since day 1, I could not be any happier for him and the blatantly obvious progress he has made. Many Packer fans are generally slow to accept change, but they will come around.

Dont care about the bad or ugly cuz tonight was Jordan's night. This is just the beginning. Dont stop now 10.
