Love does throw some scary passes over the middle, especially when pressured. STOP IT.

Love has all the ability I guess things slow way down for him cause it looks as if he is so casual at times. Then he throws that as what Dennis Eckersley used to call Aspirin white seed baseball reference to Kraft perfect thrown. Favre or Rodgers would be proud. Kind of careless on throws just heaves it up there.
Good: Eric Wilson, Evan Williams, Brandon McManus, Bullard, Ras Gary
Bad: ST punt return Nixon should have called Valentine off big mistake
Ugly: Getting tired of Jaire Alexander you are too good to be putting on those beer muscles why all the chirping? win with class stop you haven't done anything yet. Put 6 games together without calling in sick and I can say you are top 10 cornerback.
Xavier and Bullard & Evan Williams three great additions this year, no more looking like Deere in headlights after giving up touchdowns like the last few years. Looks like the defense is coming around finally getting the schemes.

Doubs is a “Git r Done” dude.
Whelan—one the best punters we’ve had.
The repetitive end-sweeps were becoming silly.
Wilson—let ‘em play.
Tucker Kraft—just sayin…
Three turnovers and we win—what can I say…?
Love—definitely more Farve than Rogers—not complaining.
Go Packers!!!

Not a huge fan of special teams play today. A nice return on the opening KO called back for a penalty. Then Nixon not catching the punt causing Ballentine to hit the ball (completely Nixon’s fault). Then Reed catching the ball on the one yard line instead of letting it go into the end zone. UGLY!!! Come on Rich!

The Good...Josh Jacobs first NFL TD Reception...He also ran the ball really well in the limited carries he had (What MLF?)
Rashon Gary... Hey, we've been tearing the guy a new one and rightfully so but today he was in Stroud's face...A LOT... Granted, he was gifted another sack but the number of pressures was a positive.
The Bad...The Play calling wasn't great today. Hey, we all have our bad days and this was LaFleur's. That reverse to the short side DEEP in your own end wasn't a good call. Also, not running the ball enough, especially after Jacobs ran so well early in the 3rd quarter.
The Ugly...So Kickers have their own kicking coaches and punter have their own punting coaches so someone please tell me what in the hell Rich Bisaccia has done? Reed's catching punts on the half yard line, Nixon's not signaling for a fair catch OR yelling for his teammates to stay the hell away from the ball!
The Packers really tried to lose this game. The Defense and our new kicker made sure they didn't.

Yeah, Nick. Killing your own drive early by not giving your actual RB, don't care if Jacobs or Wilson got the nod, but..? It's ONE YARD! Run it up the gut! Convert the 3D and continue on. End around to Reed was a horrible call.
LaFleur has to get his OL TESTED. The only way to do that is to challenge them to blow their guy off the ball and make a hole for Jacobs or Wilson to give us a new set of downs.
Not even trying it? That sends an opposite message that LaFleur doesn't believe in his OL. Yet another poor game management decision by Matt LaFleur. He's got to self-scout more in this area.

Good: Whelan (thanks for the stats Aaron), Jacobs (over 6 yards a carry & 1st TD catch of his career), McManus (didn't miss when every point counted for the win), 2nd half Defense (a defense that didn't fold and helped us win despite 3 turnovers and a coordinator who makes adjustments)
Bad: Love (2 interceptions with 1 almost being another pick 6), special teams minus our kickers (can we get a new holder for FGs?)
Ugly: Alexander (jawing again: Is he trying to get another flag?)

Another Good that's not forgotten: Doubs (just quietly doing his job and making catch after catch)

A new holder ?
It was Whelan who saved this FG after the way to low snap from Orzech.

Our holder was the MVP of the game! Pretty sure he got a game ball..?

He got one, yes - besides McManus and coach Hafley
You can see it on the post game locker room speech from MLF on Packers youtube channel.

We need a new LS specialist. Simple as that. Whelan did a phenomenal job recovering poor snaps to give conversions a chance. Again.

Good - defense...several times, the D was put in bad positions, not of their doing, and time and again, they came up with stops. impressive, indeed.
Bad - Special teams. I won't beat this dead horse, but the only thing that made it "Bad" instead of "ugly" was the game-winning field goal.
Ugly - MLF's offensive gameplan. After the success we had running the ball with Malik Willis at the helm, one would hope MLF would continue pounding the rock with Jordan back. That hasn't happened. Heck, we even had the lead for a good portion of the game and we were still only half-heartedly running the ball.
**key point: Jordan is at his best when he can use the play action game. To do that, the running game has to be a constant threat. C'mon, MLF, you're killin' me.

Case in point in last 4 minutes of 1st half . Perfect situation to control the ball, ended up to be our usual unnecessary 7 to 14 point swing at halftime.

Makes me think LaFluer is going slowly on Jacobs like he did Jones and not wear Jacobs out and try to keep him a little fresh for the playoff run. And Emmanuel Wilson is no slouch back up who runs with great tenacity.

the good: whelan, etic wilson
the bad: special teams but for whelan and the new kicker
the ugly: management for those hideous white scooter mcclean ear all whites instead of the glorious green and gold, and Love's inexcusable INTs

Good - another win. Even though the Texans were 5-1 they werent the team they were last year. They played a lot of weak teams and have had trouble winning. But still we won and that counts.
Bad- mental mistakes that coaching should have prevented. Why would you run down the field on a kick and get in the face of your own guy only to have the ball hit you in the ass. That is stupidity but I blame the st coach for not coaching people to ever ever do this. Basacia has to go. Too many st errors this year.
Ugly - gonna keep harping on Love's passing decisions. Not a lot of brain power when you throw to a receiver covered by two defenders. Why would you ever do that versus sucking it up and running or throwing it away.

Good – Was that a pass rush? With actual sacks? Stroud 10 for 21, 86 yards 0 TDs, pressured 48% of dropbacks. That wins football games.
Bad – Reed fielding a punt going backwards at the goal line with his back to the coverage. What the hell? Reed should not be our punt returner. He’s not even that great at it. Save him for the offense.
Ugly – Jaire still acting like an undisciplined child.

Good: the offensive execution was good, if not for the stupid mistakes. GB generally moved the ball through the air, and effective enough ground game. Houston would have had no chance if packers didn't turn over the ball....
But then again, houston was missing several key stars. So its another win with an asterik. Yah...still a win, I know...but we still don't know whether this is a contender yet. Maybe next week....we'll know what kind of team we have.

You don't know if the Packers are a contender yet?
7 games into the season and they own the second best record in the NFC. That is a fact. And that makes them a contender.
Packers have one of the top run games in the NFL and a QB who leads the NFL with 15 TDs. That's a contender.
Yesterday was one of the best Defensive efforts in years. YEARS! And they keep getting better as a unit...front 7 now joining the Iron Dome DBs with frontal attacks. A Defense leading the NFL in turnovers and top 10 in points allowed makes them a contender.
The finally have a kicker in McManus who owns a career 90% success rate from 50 yds in.... and a sublime punter in Whelan who is a field flipper. That makes them a contender.
It seems clear the Pack is a "contender".

As Popeye said, "I yam what I yam". The Packers are 5-2 and are right in the mix with Washington, Detroit, and Minnesota.
We are pretty healthy for midseason. Walker is hurt, Wyatt is recovering. We have one of the best running teams in my memory. which goes back to the mid 60s.
Defensively, other than the opener, where nobody had played in preseason. and the start of the Minnesota game, the defense continues to keep the score down so that we have a chance to win. Despite being put in some bad spots, they helped contain the damage.

Question Did Preston Smith play even one down yesterday? Can't remember ever hearing his name for anything.

If this offense doesn’t beat itself, I don’t see how anyone could hold it under 30
The defense did not stuff the run, but they took away the pass. It’s a smart strategy, imo.
What will it take to convince people that returning punts is a losing proposition.? You lose more In injuries, turnovers, and penalties than you gain from a couple of 8 yard returns. Every time this stuff happens, I think that surely somebody will see, but I guess maybe they don’t.

The Good- Finding a way to win, our kicking game-punting and FG's., our D + Williams emerging as a star(ter). We ruined all the Bear fans watching the game wanted the Pack to lose.
The Bad- Penalties and turnovers- Love ,Nixon in particular.
The Ugly- Coach, enough of the heavy dose of lateral runs and gaget stuff. Less of that and just run vertical and less of the fluff stuff!
