Chris Gizzi has a wife that doesn’t want to come to Green Bay. That is why he made such outlandish salary demands the first time around.

Chris Gizzi is the strength and conditioning coach for the Packers. I think you mean Darren Gizzi who is with the Saints.

"I'm just going to keep throwing out the name of a guy who is not and has never been an on-field coach. That doesn't sound stupid..."

What’s your fascination about Gizzi? Yes, he was a good special teamer while in the league, but since he stopped playing he’s been a career strength and conditioning coach. Never a position coach.

Get video, Well informed info on the potential ST Coordinators that are available. It sounds like there are more than enough coaches to choose from and hopefully we don’t screw it up and make another bone head selection.

Joe Judge was always my choice. He's still out there, I believe.

Mine too of those seemingly not set for other jobs. Of course he may not want to go back to ST, but I’d pay him and let him assemble a staff he feels can replace him if another opportunity comes.

For me, Joe Judge has gotta be #1. I honestly don't care if the Bears hire the other guy. It's the Bears.

Good post, and there are 5 or more good choices for special team's coordinator still available. I think the Packers get it right and pick a good coach. It's an important part of the game that has not gotten enough attention from the head coach over the years.

Why not look at a Baltimore ST assistant? You know, the team that finishes first in special teams every year.

Logical, though I think an experienced head with record as a ST performer and a bit of weight in wider discussions is valuable at this point

How about we find someone who is lesser known and wont costs us an arm and a leg. Oh, sorry we did that already and that costs us a playoff game after a long season of injuries and patchwork.

The Packers Org goal isnt to win a SB, its to keep the fans happy week to week thinking the team is sb bound. To really get to a super bowl you have to spend money in free agency to fill big holes and there are too dam many on this team.

Great video Cody. All 5 Special Teams candidates have great pedigrees, and I'm sure any one would fit the bill.

To those who think that Special Teams isn't worthwhile, consider that the game is composed of 3 parts: Offense, Defense, and Special Teams. This is all about analytics. Does Offense or Defense ever play at 100% - no. So, when Special Teams only plays at 50% efficiency (or worse), it reduces the overall percentage of effectiveness for the whole team.

Not sure that Joe Judge would want to go back to being a Special Teams Coordinator. He's been awful quiet since being fired.

Brayden Coombs age and youthfulness works, but that brainfart slides him down my list.

Rich Bisaccia was my choice when he didn't get the HC job at Las Vegas, and it's been reported that Matt LaFleur already had a meeting with Rich. He would mesh well with the culture Matt is building at 1265 Lombardi.

The New Orleans coaching staff is still a mystery, so no telling what coaches are going to be retained or let go.

Tracy Smith is a smart choice, but there are a lot of Special Teams assistants that are just as talented.

Whatever person gets the gig, they will have their work cut out for them. I hope it's an extreme overhaul - from players to mentality. Starters should be in the mix, speed and tackling should be the rule rather than the exception. We've got the Punter. We are going to need a Placekicker, and possibly a Long Snapper. We need wedge creators and wedge busters, and we need returners with soft hands and fast feet. And we need it all wrapped up with a bow for 2022.
