So whats the difference if Rodgers wants his friends back.
Or MLF has to play Guteys 3rd round picks. ???
Regardless, It will only take Bahk, and Jones to renegotiate.
And let those who don't want to play with Rodgers leave.
Lazard ?
Next up: Barry stays, and Drafting Defense instead.

Trade both, accrue picks and draft Will Levis from Kentucky. That should blow the Fans minds. The 49rs are playing better offense with 'Mr. Irrelevant" in charge. Gotta go with mobile QBs.

Are you saying Love isn't mobile? He is as mobile as Purdy is or as Rodgers was when he was young. I don't want to go through all that trouble - besides, 3 years of sitting and learning under Aaron Rodgers in his prime is an irreplaceable experience.

The point is Purdy sat for three months and is still getting the job done. If Love was their guy, he would have started last season.

Purdy is starting out of necessity, not because he was the best option. But since he has been performing well and winning, why take him out? What if the Packers put in Love against the Jets after Rodgers broke his thumb in London and looked great and was winning. Do you take him out when Rodgers is healed?

Well, they didn't do it ,did they? Tells us all we need to know about LaFleur's confidence in Love. Purdy could have failed miserably, but he didn't falter a bit. Lynch wasted picks to move on Trey Lance even with Jimmy G. a SB starter on the squad.

Correct - AR mind games again. But it is quite simple - do not re-sign - Lewis Cobb Lowry or Crosby. Tonyon just gives up dead cap - so re-sign if the amount is correct. Will let AR know that he might as well try to get to the Raiders back with Adams and maybe Cobb can follow.

So just like #4's last year - ZZZZZZZZZ

That's nice that Aaron want to keep playing with Cobby & Dog. Make it a package deal & trade them all. Much respect to all of them, but how long are we going to keep this band together? Maybe Aaron could get some advice from Mick Jagger about performing into your 70's. GPG!

He is done in Green Bay. He can go somewhere else and try to pull a Brady.

You could make the argument that he doesn't cost us anything, since we're paying him anyway. You could make the argument that he's still a very good QB. You could make the argument that we'll win more games with him than we will with Love.

I think those are all good points, but the smart move is to start Love next season, take our lumps on the salary cap for a year, and try to rebuild our offense. The engine of Rodgers-Jones-Adams is finished. A new engine, of Love-Watson-? , needs to be tried.

This is happening again? Didn't we do this with Favre? At that time, though, we had people who were clear-sighted enough to rip off the bandage, effectively force Favre to retire, and then, told him to his face, "Sorry. We're moving on." Yes, it came back to haunt the team when he got to Minny, and it looked bad for a year or two. Then, Favre got too old, Rodgers got better, and it was all good. Now? You have a group of people who are going to hang onto the status quo as long as possible. In all probability, too long. And the team and fans will pay for their decisions with years of mediocrity, or worse. The only question is how long it will take someone like Judge Parins to set the team on a winning course again.

I do not know why the Packers would want to keep Rodgers. He is due tens of millions of dollars both this year and in the future, but if we had a legitimate chance of winning a Super Bowl with him, I would say keep him.

However, I believe that Rodgers' Super Bowl window in Green Bay has closed. I think it is amusing how many people think that we will magically be transformed into the title contenders we were 2-3 years ago with largely the same roster that we just went 8-9 with this season. We won't even have all of the pieces that enabled us to win 9 games in 2023 (Lazard, J. Reed, Amos, Tonyan, and Nixon will all be free agents)! Gary and Stokes will also be out for the 1st half of 2023.

Ultimately, we are too cap-strapped and there are too many holes in this roster for us to be legitimate contenders. In the first 5 games (pre-thumb injury), Rodgers did show signs of aging, and he isn't the miraculous MVP he once was. In my opinion, it is time for us to get out of the future mess we are careening toward as fast as we can.

Trade aging expensive Rodgers, which will free up future cap space. It doesn't matter what we receive compensation-wise in return. I'd be happy with a single round 2 pick. Start Love, who is cheaper and has more upside. Cut or trade older expensive players like Jones, Bakhtiari, and P. Smith. We need to get younger and cheaper quickly if we want to have a chance at contending for a Super Bowl in the next 5 years.

Recently, I hears Gutekunst say that he doesn't know if Love can handle a 17-week NFL season. This is ridiculous; the only way we'll ever find out is if Love gets that opportunity to be a 17-game starter. At that rate, Rodgers could be 50 and Love could be 35 and still be the backup.

The Rodgers era has been one of the greatest in Football, but a good organization must also know when to move on and start the next chapter. Love's should begin in 2023.

Love should have started THIS year after the team traded AR in the offseason. We could be 8-9 with Love but have cap space and draft picks to build with. We also would have had money to sign a big time FA WR or TE last year.

How humiliating for the Packers execs -- and any likeminded fans -- to be held hostage by arrogant Rodgers for a third straight season. Where is dignity?
I truly wonder how these grovelers live with themselves with the submissiveness of a Mr. Smithers.
It's a taint on the storied history and stellar reputation of the Green Bay Packers.
It's a poison for the team to have one player enabled to act like such a jerk.
It's a great sadness for me to endure the interminable egotism of Rodgers, and how I wish he would move on to allow the atmosphere around the Packers to be freshened for a renewed enthusiasm!

Dear brothers and sisters.
Protecting The union brotherhood (friends) Shows integrity.
Rodgers was a union Rep and voted No on the CBA.
Keep that in mind. ( Even if Rodgers did get his. )
And I believe him when he says he could win the MVP again.
Especially in this division. And because of his thumb injury.
But the real question is. Do they really want to win a super-bowl?
After All; Love was drafted. And Rodgers wasn't involved in the decisions.
His friends won't put anyone in the unemployment line.
Because the Offense can only lose a greedy person.
The Defense is back to square one. They can't "stop" when it counts.
So why not just roll with the status Que. Let the blind lead the blind.
Rodgers isn't going to bend over and say "Again."
It's a business; Everyone shares in the money.

After hearing what AR12 said today on Pat MacAfee's Show, I think the easiest decision in the world is upon the Front Office.

All they have to do is let 12 know they won't be offering his old buddies contracts, which means 12 won't be playing in GB for a start. If he wants to play, it will have to be with another team, so all Gutey has to do is find a trade partner... Vegas, NYJ, Houston, Carolina, Atlanta, Arizona, Patriots, Bucs, Ravens, Colts, Commanders, Titans...

Plenty of teams need a QB, so even Gutey should be able to get a bidding war going for his services. I hate to admit this, because I thought the best chance to trade 12 was last year to the Broncos, but many more teams need QBs this year. If Tom decides to play next year, I could see him in Vegas or Tennessee or even NYJ. Still plenty of teams needing a QB.

I can't see 12 not playing next year, so if they don't bring back his friends, he'll want to be traded. Problems mostly solved. If Love is as good as Brock Purdy and MaLF decides to actually design some decent plays, our offense might be better off in the long run. Don't know what we're going to do about Barry, I guess hope the defense plays better despite him?

All they have to do is be respectful in their comments. Rodgers has said multiple times, "if they want to go younger..." All Murphy or Gutey at Murphy's direction has to say is the organization has decided to go younger and Cobb, Big Dog, and Crosby aren't in their plans, but would still love to have AR12 back. If, AR12 doesn't want to come back, they'll be happy to try to find a good situation for him to go to. Win/Win...

AR12 almost gave an ultimatum today when he said he wanted Big Dog with him as long as he played. Easy not to offer Big Dog a contract and make AR12 make up his mind whether he wants to play for the Pack or someone else, right?

as a fifty odd year packer fan, what the sweet shit happens to our older qbs: "Restless Farvre syndrome" is like covid in the quarterbacks room at Lambeau. We went though the knee jerk crap every season in his last five with Favre. Now, for the past five its Rodgers. We are screwed on this no matter what No team is absorbing his 58 million dollar salary this year, if he retires we get creamed with a huge cap hit As a lifelong fan, im going tired of the prima donna shit. Maybe he has dreams of going to Vegas to reunite with Devonte. I think its time to start Love, bring in a vet to compete and push him, have a productive draft, and move forward. GO PACK GO

He was paid for his services. He is employee!!!!

He himself said that, and that Packers made him very wealthy person. He said he is thankful them for that.

I wonder how would that looks like if he would not be thankful them for that.

What he earned is his salary, nothing more and nothing less. He signed contract and he has to fulfill it. He did not fulfilled this past season. And stop bulshiting about broken thumb and possible broken ribs. That injuries are so big joke that I feel I would puke. He is DONE. All those story about he has to think about is pure game of neccesity for attention, he so crave for.

Packers earned his respect, but he is not willing to pay it.

I said, and I did not changed my mind - they needed to show him doors if not earlier by granting him his wish to never ever play for Packers, than after that shamefull press conference at the beginning of the 2021 TC.

I'm done with him. He produce in me nothing else, just wish him to fail in every aspect of his life. Those kind of persons do not deserve nothing else.

First rounders arent always a lock.Id have liked to have Olave, but he was gone by the time the packers picked. Watson, like Jordy, is a first round talent we picked up in round 2.

I predict Diva will hem and haw about retirement until Murphy makes Ponzi Ball break out the credit card and throw money at Rodgers. Then he might as well use the card to sign all of Diva’s has-been pals and Kentucky Derby drinking buddies. By the time the house of cards comes crashing down Murphy and Ball will have parachuted to the beach spending their multi-million dollar severance packages.

Even when he played and deservedly so at an MVP level in back to back seasons his level of play was not the difference in the playoffs and it was obvious to all. In effect the organization has "run it back" three seasons in a row and the end results have been worse each season as far as where they advanced in the playoffs, or failed to advance to the playoffs as a team. For him to suggest doing it a 4th time "as is" leads me to believe he is not as bright a man as he is portrayed to be or his ego does not permit him to see the obvious decline in his superior athletic abilities. If only the GM had FULL AUTHORITY to tell him the train has left the station like Ted Thompson did with the gun slinger. To have the two for 34 seasons and play at the level they did may never happen again the organization was blessed.
