It is no secret that I loathe the Minnesota Vikings. The site of a jersey makes me ill, the Metrodome makes me feel dirty, and the color purple hurts my eyes. This week is no different. Here is my story.

I live a couple hours off the Minnesota border. Due to these proximity problems there are plenty of Viking fans around here. They come out of nowhere and everywhere all at once. I see them everywhere that I go. There is no escaping it, but the strangest thing is that no matter where they come from, they are all saying the same thing.

I am stuck listening to this for days and days at a time.

When they finally do get the Humpty Dome ready for the Queens, it isn't long before the parking lot fills with the warming sounds of total and complete losers.

Once again the team has practiced hard. They are primed and ready for action.

The fans continue to come from far and near.

They have elaborate rituals as well. In certain cultures they even partake in self mutilation as evidenced by this young girl totally destroying her face.

... we interrupt this rant to bring you this awesome cannon montage.

... anyway, the Packers will be ready. History has shown that good things happen in the Metrodome.

If more recent history is any indication of victory, then things should be looking good.

Speaking of looking good, once in awhile there is some Viking video worth watching.

So the Viking fans out there can hope and pray as usual, but we all know it will turn out as it always has.

Rest assured, I'll be there screaming twice as loud as that guy. I'll be yelling at the proverbial top of my lungs for the Packers to chew 'em up and spit 'em out.
