Bears Sign DE Barry Turner Off Practice Squad

To fill the roster spot vacated by the release of defensive end Charles Grant, the Chicago Bears have signed defensive end Barry Turner off the practice squad, reports Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.

An undrafted rookie free agent from Nebraska, Turner (6-3, 265) had five tackles and a quarterback sack during the 2010 pre-season.

During his 54-game career with the Cornhuskers, Turner totaled 115 tackles, including 34 for a loss and 17 quarterback sacks, picking up Big 12 honorable mention honors after last season.
