The Chicago Bears announced the signing of free agent defensive tackle Mick Williams.

Rookie free agent defensive tackle Averell Spicer has been waived.

Williams (6-1, 282) was a three-year starter at the University of Pittsburgh, earning first-team All-Big East honors after last season. Williams was not selected in the 2010 NFL Draft, and spent the off-season with the New York Jets.
